Should be around 3.2 or so. Go to https://applications.wes.org/igpa-calculator/ and calculate it.
tactmayor go to the link above and click start now. Check the link below for 2017 Civil school ranking, start perusing there websites from 1 to 70. You should find one or two school if you are lucky https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwKmQy59LeEpUW5tbEZhRHJmR1U/view?usp=sharing

I have gone there but i can only calculate the gpa for a semester on it and not CGPA. If there is a way to calculate for CGPA, pls do assist me.

Also with CGPA of not less than 3.6 on a 4.0 scale and a GRE score of 303, which oda schools can i apply to for fall 2018?. I already applied to washington state uni.
Thanks.
No..go there and click the free evaluation tool and input ALL you grades from part 1 to Part 5. Thats how it works, I dont know any school, you left it too late. Most funding deadlines have passed, however you can use the civil ranking to check school's website one after the other. You might be lucky to see some other schools

MSc Civil Engineering. Yes I applied to 1 top school, Stanford
Why not throw in one or two Phd Applications? Mind you now adays faculties are looking for students they can work with on a long term. If I were you, with that profile I would have applied to at least 2 top 20 school for PHd. You can check Northwestern University if the application is still on,if you apply for phd and even if you dont get admitted for Phd, you will be granted Msc admision.

Thank you it is well detailed
So for graduate school one can always do 3course l.e 9credit for a semester?
If a course is $3000 and I am to do 3 which is 9credit hours...my tuition fee would be 9000 right?
Don't be offended I just want to be cleared and have adequate knowledge about the credit hour and the tuition fee
You missed the part where I said they charge per credit? Schools don't charge per course. If 1 credit is say $1200 and you register 9credits, you will pay 9*1200 but mind you, there are still other fees in addition to Tuition.

Hello fam, i have some questions I would like to ask.

1.Can someone that get a high score in TOEFL or gre be considered for scholarship for masters in any school in USA?

2.Also about credit hours in schools I don't really understand those terms...most school I have in mind to apply to have that "credit hour" and it seems the higher the "credit hour" the higher the school fee

Please help share light on this issues thanks
1) Yes you have a good chance of getting assistanship which in most cases, your tuition is waived and you get paid some stipend every 2weeks. 2) Credit hours is just like our unit system in Nigeria. To be in status, you must always register for min of 9 credit hours (most times that is three graduate courses, each is 3credit hours) and max of 12 credit hours. Schools charge per credit you register in a semester.

Why do you need to rent a luxury car though? Is it any faster than a cheaper Honda Civic? I find it odd how we try to appear above our respective stations in life when the real rich folks are driving regular cars. Who are you trying to impress?

Also, how is it possible to get US citizenship within weeks of being released ON BOND from a US jail for deportation? Derivation who? You look far older than 21.
If, as you claim, you got citizenship via your parents, then why did you come here on an f1 visa two years ago? A lot of stuff doesn’t add up.

The odd part is you didn’t have to post at all! Who are you trying to impress?
Exactly, he should be laying low and not making noise

Lol!!

For a minute I was confused to what he was posting. I might not be able to doubt that those pictures he posted were taken recently as I noticed some patches of snow. However, you're correct that he's kind of misleading people by saying that the Judge granted him US Citizenship...that is not how the US immigration system works.

I hope he's not confusing the Judge granting him Asylum in order to not be deported from the US but to be granted automatic US citizenship without first obtaining a green card is very questionable.
Maybe you noticed something else but not snow. He took the picture in August/September in Atlanta, Atlanta doesn't experience Snow in August/September. I just hope he finds the help he needs, he is not alright mentally

From almost been deported back to Nigeria for a Misdemeanor offense {Disruptive Conduct} to be granted Derivative Citizenship.

Already applied both for a United States Passport & a Certificate of Citizenship, now waiting for the FBI Background Report in order to appear for Biometrics and Fingerprinting.
I didn't want to comment on this before but I was on my own when you mentioned me. To be honest I think you need psychologically evaluation, I don't think you are sane. Coming here to post pictures is just you trying too hard. 1) Those pictures are fake and all lies. In-fact those pictures were not taken recently (I have proofs for anyone who doubts this). They were taken as far back as August 2017. Why all this lies? 2) If you were granted citizenship, good for you,of which I doubt it. My point is, don't come here and misled or fool people. People should be learning from your mistakes and not you trying to paint it as if what happened to you or what you did can just grant one citizenship. You need to seek help if you still have the chance and you dont get thrown out

I never said God is not involved, infact I believe in God but you going back to previous posts because you have gotten a visa is childish and uncalled for.

#Urgent

Hello everyone

How much does it cost to send document through a courier to US and how long will it take.
Depends on which one you decide to you. You can check dhl, they used to have student package that goes for around 8k. It will take 3days. If you have time and want to take risk, try usps, the one that has tracking number. It goes for around #500 and can take 2 to 3 weeks.

Tanx a lot....washington state uni application is closing jan 10....I can submit the application form today but i wont be able to submit all the supporting documents....can i still send the supporting documents after deadline for application form submission has ended??.
I dont know if you can, I have no affiliation with the school. You might send an email to the grad cord. However check out Dr Christopher John on the school's website if his research interest matches up with yours, 70% chances he might have funding opportunities for fall.

Good evening everyone

Please i am aspiring to go for a masters degree in Civil Engineering. I plan on applying for fall 2018

Here is my profile-- CGPA- 3.57/4.00
GRE Score- 303 And AWA-3
I have 2 years work experience

Please i need advice on universities that will offer me funding opportunities to apply to with my profile.
What aspect of Civil Engineering? Structures? Geotechnical? Environmental? Transport? If Structural you can check Washington state University If you can still meet up the application deadline. Most good schools application deadline for funding is always Dec 25 while few will still have it open till Jan 31.

Hi guys,

Please what is the best way to have foodstuff sent from naija to yankee, something like garri, pepper, maggi and dry fish.

cc Others
The only best way is if you know anybody coming over.On the other hand you can always get this in compare foods or African stores and they are not that expensive.

A staff at my school's center for international students mentioned that the OPT program is under review. I then remembered that TWOODS already said that here. Make Oga Trump no mess with me o. Me that supported him all the way. I hope it doesn't affect STEM programs sha.
Yes he/she is right but everything is still uncertain. If you visit quora regularly, you would have seen that are are rumors and uncertainty that >500000 Indians might be deported if there are changes. The Indians have messed the program up so much that there is a wait of almost 20 years or more for any Indian that graduates now to get a green card after H1B. You can only do your path and hope for the best.

One thing I noticed since my arrival in the USA is that all Nigerians try so hard to talk like the Americans. I think it's a bad orientation. We have Americans in Nigeria and I don't see them trying to speak like us.. I think it's a slave mentality by the way. We feel inferior. I will retain my African accent. If I have children in the USA then they can claim to be Americans but I am a Nigerian man.
You cant blame them, I guess you have not had to repeat yourself countless times because they are not used to you accent yet. I don't think its inferiority complex when you get used to pronouncing some words the way white Americans pronounce just to make them understand you and save you the stress of repeating yourself. To be fair, we pronounce some words wrongly in Nigeria, for instance most Americans wont understand you when you pronounce words like Library as libry instead of Li-bra-ry, Battery as Battry instead of Ba-tte-ry,Laboratory as Laboratry instead of La-bo-ra-to-ry as well as many countless words. What really matters is to speak clearly and pronounce words well.

Please how do I get a cheap health insurance? The one recommended by my school is over $1500. Anyone with suggestions?
Now that you have done the right thing, this post might be helpful to you .
Anyway you can use http://www.InternationalStudentInsurance.com but you will have to check the requirements for health insurance in your school first to be sure it meets any of the plans. Typically, the budget plan should work for you and depending on your age, it is very cheap compared to US schools health insurance. The price gets higher with age but still at that, it will still be way cheaper than your school's. For those planning to come in spring, if you plan to use any health insurance apart from your school's, make sure you fill out your immunization form before coming because most of the outside health insurance don't cover vaccination. On the insurance website, you can check the plan that your school will accept, most schools are listed on the website with the plan that is acceptable to each school. If you are below 27 or so, you might not pay more than $200 and $300 for fall and spring respectively (spring has more months than Fall). Above 30, its like $300 and $480.The price goes up with age, still at that, its far better that the exorbitant fee your school will charge.By the way if you don't know what to use money for..I am a pm away. Lastly, fill your immunization form before you leave Nigeria and ask questions, no excuse for ignorance.
