blowjohn: The most interesting fact here is that he graduated from the international School, university of Ibadan. My alma mater.
That's to me still the best secondary school in the history of this country. Quote me if u like, even this guy can't stand toe to toe with his former seniors like bosun adeoti and his colleagues.
For the records, I remember ISI was once ranked 3rd best secondary school in the country back then.
Students that year ehn.
Dem dey break records for SAT exams.
I remember bosun came out tops in the world in SAT 2 Did your school ever produce the best in Waec or Jamb? If they didn't, they are not best in the Country |

yinkabeauty: Your head is not correct , you are a silly idiot like Wunmi , police kill you there. If you are not part of those who killed Mohbad, you should not be blind to the failure of the police , if you have a deep thought, or not being a liar , things would have been done differently, small boys could have done better. Firstly , they turn back Mohbad's father when he ran to the police for police report, after someone was about to grant him , a call came in and they turned him down , this would have allowed for proper retention of mohbad's body and instant questioning over mohbad's death other than immediate bury of his body alive. Mohbad wrote petition to the police while he was alive nothing was done. There is CCTV nothing to show... Everyone one they met in that house should have been arrested cos they are suspect but no, they left out Wunmi ( police 's daughter) and are beating around the bush , making others prime suspect. Their fake autopsy will take ten months before it comes out. People shouted for the body they hurriedly bury and cemented to be exhume before the police did. This crime is very obvious , is like a day light robbery. Police can detect the phone calls wunmi and others under that roof made in the last three months and the back-end record of the CCTV e.t.c within few weeks, if they want to do , but the powers that be will not , they will be pressing down real justice movement , all these drug dealers and agbayas , but you are here acting gutter pikin you are as usual ori e o pe , ur head no correct ! this criminal! Illiterate All these road side mechanic talk and hearsays make you sound stupid. FYI, cctv isn't in operation. The cctv camera in Mohbad’s house was never fixed or connected, it has no BVR nor Hard disk. |
Sports › Re: My Ideal Nigeria Formation Against Ivory Coast And Why Kelechi Is Instrumental by femi4: 2:50pm On Jan 17, 2024 |
Holybwoy: This is an opinion.
Although I cannot do anything to influence the coach's decision on the team's setup and formation in tomorrow's must win or draw match against the AFCON host, as a Nigerian tired of subpar performances and hoping to see our nation go beyond the group stage and even lift the trophy, a decade after achieving that feat, I feel I have a singular responsibility to suggest a lineup and tactics that will work in case anyone cares to listen.
I watched Ivory coast's game in the opening match and like every other Nigerian, I watched Nigeria's game too.
Ours was a disappointing result and only a win or draw versus the host nation is acceptable.
Of course, ivory coast will not be here to play all 90 mins long.
The bright side of our game against equitorial guinea was the inclusion of certain players who were fun to watch and gave the game any semblance of life- Osimhen, lookman, iwobi and Aina.
Cote d'Ivoire wants to win and they are going to press high all game long. The only technical player we can rely on to give iwobi a helping hand in creativity and chance conversion is senior man kelechi.
I was surprised he was an unused substitute in Nigeria's opening match and that must be down to favouritism.
Senior man as he's popularly called has the rythm, can read the intensity of a game intellectually and create spaces with his skills and left foot. Lookman can run, Aina can cross, onyeka can soak pressure, Osimhen can score, iwobi can create and pass but who can open space?
Think of Gabriel Jesus and his duties at Arsenal. That's a similar role to what we can endow on kelechi and trust him to execute it to perfection.
My ideal formation is a 4-1-4-1
Aina- Ekong- seyi-sanusi Onyeka Simon-iwobi-kelechi-lookman Osimhen
Kelechi plays right behind Osimhen and we can have a good game ladies and gentlemen.
Source: Temitope Steve from x Who is Seyi in that defence. Any formation without Semi Ajayi is OK. That guy is too soft |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Advise Me On This Job Offer, I Am Confused And Sad by femi4: 6:43pm On Jan 16, 2024 |
Joboffer24: Hello Nairalanders,
So recently I got a job which office is situated on the island of Lagos but I live on the mainland. My current job is also on the island but it is hybrid which makes me convenient for me to do some little errands to earn money to survive.
The problem is that the pay in the offer letter which is between 100 to 110k is not what we discussed during the interview, it is half of the amount I told them. I am about to reject the offer as I can't keep up with it and I am planning to reject it politely.
If I remove daily transport and feeding from it, I will be less with less than 15k and this is not a 3 square meal routine. It is barely a 2 square meal on a 1k per day. Tfare will take me like 1700 per day and it means I can't save any dime on this money.
My current job expires this month and the pay is the same with this new one but just that it is hybrid, I don't have to go to work everyday as I can work from home and also go to office. It is favourable as I could save some money and also attend to the responsibilities on my neck like house rent, utility bills, and family things, mind you, I am not married and I do not have a girlfriend.
Also I am running an ICAN programme that will consume money and time but the issue is that the money offered by this new job can only cover up for my tfare and feeding...
I am about to reject the offer but I need nairalanders opinion, am I making the right decision?
I am still applying for more role... I work as a finance personnel and I have more than a year experience.
To be honest, my interest would have to secure a position in an auditing firm as a trainee. I have no experience in auditing but I want to build a career in this profession before I finish my ICAN programme but the problem is that I am yet to get the opportunity.
I am a fast learner as in very fast learner,Communicate excellently, pay attention to details and I enjoy multitasking.
Please advise me before I reject this offer Move your crib closer to your place of work or look for staff bus or any arrangement that will ease the tfare |

Family › Re: Would You Marry A Man Who Was Perfect For You, But His Family Did Not Like You? by femi4: 6:29pm On Jan 16, 2024 |
Sxyhalima: I met a man, we have been dating for over a year and talking about marriage
- he is tall and handsome (there are 3 things that I don't really like about his appearance, but they can be worked upon and I am not the most beautiful in the world)
- he is super healthy, takes care of himself
- he earns 77,000 dollars a year (before tax), and is likely to get more and more money in his career as he progresses
- he is in the process of buying his first property this year
- he is educated and has a good job
- he has all the qualities i look for in a man: kind, caring, thoughtful, considerate, funny, family-orientated, generous (took me on trips abroad, etc) and more. Nobody is perfect, he also has unresolved trauma, but again these things can be worked upon
- he loves God
- we have similar hobbies: travelling, events, he is literally my person and the male person of me
HOWEVER!
He doesn't talk to his dad or his dad's side of his family because in my opinion, his mother has brainwashed him against them. He also doesn't talk to his mother's side of the family (she doesn't talk to them either). He doesn't talk to his siblings, except 1, despite living in the same house. His mother doesn't like me, as she feels like I am taking him away from her and she doesn't like people from my country. She has tried to interfere and break us up, but he has stood firm and now she has said she doesn't want to be involved in our relationship. This is very hurtful for me. I am concerned that she could cause problems for us in our relationship and marriage. He gives over half of his salary to his mother every month (she doesn't work as she struggles to work because she has depression that is debilitating), but he says he will stop once he moves out. I believe that it takes a village to raise a child, and I am concerned that it will just be me, him, our kids, and my family. I am not welcome in his mother's house, and I have said that if I am not welcome there, I don't think it is approrpiate for him to still visit, just like if I was welcome somewhere and my husband wasn't - I wouldn't go. That person will then change up and act accordingly to make my partner feel welcome, but I think he is just enabling bad behaviour. I am scared he will one day resent me or accuse me of affecting the relationship with his original family. He has said that he plans to just have two families (me/the kids.. and his mother/sibling he talks to) and I am scared it will be a case of a man having two "wives", pivoting between two households, being the man of both households. I don't want to share my husband!
Would you marry a man that was the perfect man for you, but his family wasn't good/his mother did not like you? It's dangerous, the day you have issues with him, there will be non of his people you can turn to |
