I was tuned in to a political program on Radio this afternoon and you needed to hear Yorubas returning the insults of our blodas from the other side. At a point, the presenter had to stop reading out some messages from Yorubas because they were hitting hard back at the ibo callers.
These folks are using the same play book which failed them in 2015. In the coming months, a lot( sentiments) will change.

My dad despite being edo was born in lagos, he schooled in lagos. He has all his houses here. His mum is also lagosian from the Kosoko family. While his great grand father was of Oshodin family who were the the early settlers of Eko from Edo state. What's known as Oshodi today was originally called Oshodin which is an edo word. Ameachi came from PDP to APC after the formation of APC led by Tinubu. Even at that, Ameachi lost Rivers State and couldn't win one local government for APC.
However, every Southern candidates has his own supporters. You don't expect Ameachi's supporters to support Osinbajo or Tinubu and vice versa. In APC, it's common sense that a Southerner emerge unlike PDP where ibos betrayed Southern candidates including their own.

We knew from day one that Atiku is the strongest candidate and would clinch the ticket. We all predicted it was going to be another Atiku/Obi ticket until Obi ran away. However, we commend Wike for giving a good fight because no one expected him to pull such a weight.

I don't think Tinubu ever wanted an exit. His main objective unfortunately was opposed to the CPC bloc. Tinubu envisioned a lasting institution, a party that would outclass PDP as the biggest party in Africa. However, CPC led by Buhari only wanted power. They needed a vehicle and whatever happens to the vehicles after they must have arrived at their destination, bothers little.
Tinubu was previously primed for VP until internal intrigues prevailed. Buhari should have understood that if Tinubu could let go of his ambition to the benefits of the party, he as much deserves the right of first refusal. Fingers crossed till weekend before I can conclude if he had been ridiculed.

Who knows CPC in the South?.. Does the party ever existed down south?.. Buhari only had constant votes in the core north of NW & NE, he never won in NC either. With the understanding that might ensue between Igbos and the NW, it is quite possible that Lawan will register a huge landslide victory in the SE and a good chunk of the SS, thus depriving Tinubu the southern solidarity, any prospective southern president will need, to stand a chance.

Now that it is the turn of the south in general and the SE in particular, Tinubu chose to hijack that opportunity.
