President Muhammadu Buhari urged the international community on Wednesday to help end the turmoil in Libya, warning that it was creating a "strategic time bomb" for Africa and Europe. In a speech to the European Parliament, Buhari said the situation in lawless southern Libya was particularly alarming as it was creating a flow of arms affecting Nigeria and other countries. Buhari is fighting to end a bloody six-year insurgency in Nigeria by Islamist group Boko Haram, which is estimated to have caused the deaths of 17,000 people and forced more than 2.6 million others to flee their homes. In the past year the group has extended its reach beyond the borders of Nigeria, stepping up attacks in Niger, Chad and Cameroon. Libya has been gripped by chaos since the 2011 revolution that topped dictator Moamer Kadhafi, with two rival administrations currently holding sway and the Islamic State group on the rise. "I must express our serious concern about the alarming situation in southern Libya which is becoming a strategic time bomb for Africa and indeed Europe," Buhari told MEPs in the French city of Strasbourg. "The ungoverned south of southern Libya has become a (...) arms bazaar which threatens the security of the Sahel region as well as the north Africa region and beyond. "We must therefore intensify our efforts to find a lasting solution to the Libyan crisis." The EU and UN have been backing efforts to form a national unity government in Libya but this has been beset by problems. Since 2014 Libya has had two governments and parliaments, with the recognised authorities based in the eastern city of Tobruk and a militia-backed authority in Tripoli. In mid-December, only a minority of lawmakers from both sides signed a UN-backed deal to unify the government in the oil-rich North African nation. HARD ANALYSIS: Divide your SALARY by 30 days and see what you get (i.e. the number of days in a month and see the funny thing about your salary plan). For example, (1) An average level-12 worker in the state government civil service earns NGN 60,000. **** And this translates to NGN 60,000÷30= NGN 2,000 every day. This is LESS THAN the amount made daily by an AVERAGE HAWKER in the city. (2) A freshly EMPLOYED GRADUATE BANKER in most NIGERIAN BANKS earns an average of NGN120,000 monthly. ***So everyday, you get NGN120,000÷30= NGN4,000 as the daily value for your work-life. By implication, this is LESS THAN the amount earned DAILY by an AVERAGE DRIVER in d city and in some villages..... (3) If you are a FRESH GRADUATE EMPLOYEE in some oil companies, you earn an average of NGN300,000 monthly. So in a day your WORK-VALUE is NGN300,000 ÷ 30= NGN10,000 **** This is LESS THAN the daily amount earned by an IRRIGATION FARMER supplying vegetables to Lagos MARKETS, a TIPPER CAR DRIVER supplying sand for three BLOCK INDUSTRIES and CONSTRUCTION SITES just 3 times a day and DRIVERS of DANGOTE TRUCKS who have bought off the trucks at scrap value and are using them to convey products between villages and the cities for just five business owners. --------->>>HOPE BY NOW, IT IS SINKING IN, RIGHT? And when there is an ISSUE in the FAMILY that requires FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, the DRIVERS, HAWKERS and the rest are looking up to you with a WHITE COLLAR JOB. (4) If you are an NYSC MEMBER, you DON'T need to be told that: *****NGN19,800÷30 = NGN 660 is your worth on a daily basis. I hope you know that PURE WATER SELLERS who own a shop, a pepper soup joint and a small TOYOTA COROLLA car to distribute pure water to five restaurants earn MORE THAN you & WHEEL-BARROW PUSHERS working on contract for three warehouses probably make MORE MONEY than you EACH DAY ............ We shouldn't end at satisfactions from these earnings. We should be more proactive, create room for more income and strive to diversify our streams of income. The earlier you wake up and smell the coffee, the better for you...... I know of someone right now who will say this is too ideal to be true but take your time and do this analysis over and over again, and you will grasp the crux!!! STOP waiting for the Government to feed you, feed yourself and help the Government feed others. That is where we are in this age. |
This would be cheering news to unemployed Nigerians as the federal government has concluded plans to commence payment of N5, 000 stipends. The government explained that the initial delayed in the commencement of the payment was because it was not captured in the 2015 budget promising that it will be included in the 2016 budget. This disclosure was made by the minister of youth and sports, Barr. Solomon Darlong when he visited the national secretariat of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Abuja, The Nation reports. Darlong noted that arrangement for the payment will take effect from 2016. He told newsmen that the President Muhammadu Buhari administration will fulfill every of his campaign promises including payment of N5, 000 stipends to unemployed Nigerians. The minister said: “I want the youths to understand that every promise must be backed up by budgetary provision and our promise to pay N5,000 is not contained in the 2015 budget. So, definitely, it is going to begin in 2016 as we have made budgetary allocations for that. READ ALSO: AGAIN! How Two APC Senators Embarrassed Themselves In Public “We are committed to the campaign promises of creating jobs, providing wealth creation and combat poverty. We have embedded in our manifesto things that we are translating to reality. “Some of the youth empowerment programmes that are ongoing, we are busy reviewing them to ensure that they are more viable and people oriented. We are also looking at the possibility of realigning some of them to our vision so that in the final analysis, it will add value to the people.” Meanwhile, Senator Ben Murray Bruce representing Bayelsa state at the National Assembly had reportedly explained to Buhari how he can effectively pay the N5,000 he promised to pay unemployed Nigerians. Its still sad that guys are the once crying in a Relationship; a case study of my coursemate. A coursemate of mine who happens to love a lady in the department which he showers all his love and money on. It is still unheard of that the guy refused to travel home to help his mum rather lodged himself and his girlfriend in the hotel for a month with the aid of his mother's money. This guy have to forgo his exam for his girlfriend's own due to she was sick and he had the course carried over. In the department,it was said that 'love is blind' because guys believe that the girl is remote-controling him and my coursemate dont send as long as you dont talk to his girl rudely. Its was vividly clear that the 'love' has over stayed its welcome and its ripe for judgement but the guy failed to see the sign coming. The lady had a carryover in one of the borrowed courses and the guy set on his mission to help his girl as usual but lucky wasn't on his side. On 22nd october,2015. The memo forwarded to the department through the Staff Adviser asked him to set down one year for impersonation and the girlfriend was required to carry over the course again as the memo demanded. Two days later, the lady officially told him that she dont associate with failures, 'so i don't think we can go on because its humilating to date my junior in class' my coursemate is dieing gradually, drinks alot now and the lady lives fine. I have adviced him as a courserep and as a coursemate in my own capacity and he have not show any positive sign. Please i need your advices for him so that he will not die from emotional truama or waste is career on thinking of a lady who have chosen her path to life. |
It's important to undertake a thorough research into the causes or the origin of dreams that can be termed filthy. Lets us take an incisive look into such dreams: ¤ Worry and Anixiety. Worry and anxiety induce filthy dreams. Each night you go to bed loaded with burdens, worry, cares and all forms of anxiety, you will end up having filthy dreams. The Bible says ''For a dream cometh through the multitude of business and a fools voice is known by the multitude of words'' Therefore, worry and anxiety can introduce filthy dreams into your life. ¤ Vain Imagination. Those who are given to vain imagination will always end up having filthy dreams. Vain thought attracts vain dreams. Dreams are very accurate thermometer. It reveals the exact state of your life. An understanding of the human heart is crucial to understanding the type of dreams people have. Job 20:28 gives us an insight. It says, ''it shall fly away as a dream and shall not be found yea,it shall be chased as a vision of the night. ¤ Fear Fear is another thing that induces filthy dream. If your heart is filled with fear, you will have filthy dreams whether you like it or not. Those who are fearful in real life always end up having terrifying dreams. Job 7:14 says, '' Thou scariest me with dreams and terrifieth me with visions'' what is the importance of this passage? Your fears will always end up being transferred into your dream life. ¤ The Lust of the Heart. Lust and filthy dreams are close pals, one attracts the other. Show me someone who is addicted to filthy dreams and i will show you someone who is a slave to lust. Immorality does not start suddenly,it begins as an innocent thought in the laboratory of the heart. SYMPTOMS OF FILTHY DREAMERS * Slippery breakthroughs and blessings. * Spiritual lukewarmess. * Lack of favour. THE WAY OUT ¤ REPENT FROM EVERY ACT OF PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL FILTHINESS. ¤ TAKE DECISIVE STEPS TOWARD MORTIFYING THE FLESH |

Are you thinking about starting up a business? Good for you! It’s an exciting prospect and can bring many rewards. There are lots of good ways to go about that, but what follows is a list of things not to do. *Not really having a plan. Not really having any goals. Not really doing any thinking about the who-what-where-when-why-how and how-much pieces going forward. Really? You’re just going to wing this and hope for the best? Please don’t! You owe it to yourself to do some rigorous planning and get it written down on paper. *Starting a business for the ego satisfaction. You might be daydreaming about the rewards and recognition you’ll have when you save the environment, or rescue all the children everywhere, or some other lofty (and ridiculously overblown) dream. Gratifying your ego is no reason to start a business (or a nonprofit for that matter), so don’t even start down that road. *Going in it purely for the big fast money.First of all, the money probably won’t be fast. And at least at first, it certainly won’t be big. You may be intending to build a large profitable business, and that’s great. But right out of the gate it isn’t going to happen. Always plan for things taking longer than you expect and bringing in less revenue than you expect. *Hiring people you like instead of people who have the skill sets you need.Enjoying someone’s company isn’t a good enough reason to hire. You need people with skills that complement you own, with points of view that are different from yours, and experience you lack. Be strategic about hiring. *Not asking for help. There are lots of great resources out there; some of them are even free. Take advantage of the support systems offered at the Small Business Development Center and through networking groups and your local chamber of commerce. Find a good accountant and an attorney you trust. Develop a network of other business owners who can keep you informed. Ask all of these folks to assist you when you have challenges. You’ll be glad you did. www.statesmanjournal.com/story/money/business/2015/07/24/big-mistakes-avoid-starting-business/30646707/?from=global&sessionKey=&autologin= |
