No corporate or organizational "great plans" will work smoothly when the THREAT of the regulatory authorities isn't factored in the SWOT Analysis. With due respect, that's poor planning.

Please stop this wimpy propaganda that mystify Fulani tribe. It degrades all the warrior tribes in Benue State. Let us respect every ethnic groups in Nigeria as there is nothing superior about Fulani people. They have neither invented anything nor improved their own standard of living.

lozanni:
Time and time again the non -compliance to corporate governance ethics by bank shareholders has resulted in many banks going under or being taken over by the Amcon.
I think the CBN ought to be very strict on the issue of borrowings by board members of banks through placing a total ban on such insider borrowings as this introduces a lot of manipulation and default on loan repayments by such shareholders which, ultimately, will result in a situation that is to the overall detriment of the bank and its depositors.
I agree with you.
BusinessRe: Emefiele: Oba Otudeko Rebuffed My Pleas On First Bank Crisis by festacman(m):
As an entrepreneur, Oba Otudeko is a go-getter. As a boardroom politician, he is bullish, very bullish. As a money-chaser, he is a hard-nosed capitalist. He has the tendency to browbeat regulatory authorities both in money market and capital market. There is no doubt that Oba Otudeko is a principality in the mammonic kingdom.

However, every empire has its rise and its fall. One hopes this corporate governance misadventure will not lead to the fall of Oba Otudeko empire.

Festacman. I think what he is trying to say is shut down the damnnn national assembly and everybody go home without them earning their usual salaries and allowance. They have failed this country. Lawal is just a robber stamp senate president.

If this was GEJ administration, they would have commenced impeachment notice since. I don't blame them anyway.
Will shutting down the National Assembly solve the problem. Look, I expect MARATHON SESSIONS to brainstorm on the problems facing the country. The way to solve Boko haram is different from the way to solve banditry or the secession bids. Every problem has root causes and once these causes are treated, the problem begin to go away.

It's all playing to the gallery. Action speaks more than words. Amend the constitution. Do something. They are lawmakers, for goodness sake.

So much lame talks, lamentations and drama from the hallowed chamber.

Listen up Senator Smart Adeyemi, we ain't gonna shut down the National Assembly. You want to go home and still earn fat allowances. No way! Work, my friend, work. Nigeria is at crossroads. This is time to brainstorm to come up with ideas. Most of you are professionals. So, use your brains and bring your experience to bear. No shutting down the National Assembly. You are the only empowered to amend the constitution to reflect national realities. Do the work for which you have earned tons of money. Stop playing to the gallery.

OdumegwuOjukwu:
Why can those who want their own country have a say? What's wrong with referendum?
Look, referendum doesn't guarantee a new country for promoters. There will for/against campaign for months before the referendum. So, if the majority goes with "against", the promoters of secession will never accept that the exercise was free and fair, which portends more problems. In any case, there is currently no referendum clause in our constitution to invoke. Furthermore, the promoters of secession have not demonstrated anything different from typical Nigeria's strategic development planlessness.

Kay17:
Break down what you mean by restructuring. Do you mean more autonomy to the 36 states and possibly the emergence of state police? Do you mean more resource control? Do you mean more efficiency?
First step is reviewing the exclusive list in the constitution to give more developmental powers to the regions to explore their resources in the best ways they think and pay a percentage to FG. Of course FG retains national security and NPF regulating community policing to dilute ethnicity-driven abuses. In any case, we have Switzerland, Canada, US, etc to look at to adopt what is best for us given our peculiarities.

OnlyDeCapPlease:
Good point here. This way if Ipob or Fulani boys pull show anywhere, it will no longer be "Buhari how far?". Instead it will be "(insert regional president/administrator name)_______________ how far?". FG has to adopt the same method that major oil exloration companies have done in Nigeria. Just like the oil companies offloaded problematic oilfields (irrespective of how lucrative they were), the FG should offload problematic regions. Its just simple good business sense.
I agree.

OdumegwuOjukwu:
The actors want different countries and are calling for REFERENDUM, you think they will settle for RESTRUCTURING?
Restructuring is meeting the actors halfway. Restructuring will achieve the same regional developmental results but with less disruptions.

Do you mean to say that Nigeria actually has a national assembly?
I believe national assembly exists because they draw hefty allowances.
PoliticsRe: Insecurity: FG Is Reorganizing Nigeria’s Security Architecture – Osinbajo by festacman(m):
The problem at hand has gone beyond reorganizing security architecture. It needs political reorganization or RESTRUCTURING.

National Assembly should as matter of urgency commence work on RESTRUCTURING Nigeria through amendment of the vital parts of the constitution. The failure to respond before now led the nation into this raging regional self-determination chaos.

Any further delay in acting will most likely lead to any of the following:
1. Military interrupting the democracy to take over government in order to restore order, of course, with far reaching consequences. They are losing too many men.
2. Negligently allowing the regions to slip into the hands of hot-headed separatists who, so far, have not shown clear governance and developmental plan.

However, acting on restructuring NOW will empower the current of political class and intelligentsia in different geopolitical regions to assume control with little destructive disruption with the armed forces restoring order. I suggest the following actions immediately:

-- NASS leadership should immediately wake members up from ongoing slumber to do their duties.
-- Set up a joint NASS Restucturing Committee
-- Meet and convince Nigerian Governors' Forum to set up regional committees covering broad interests to negotiate transfer of critical things on exclusive list to concurrent list and other federations issues.
-- Amend the constitution to reflect the new political realities of Nigeria.
-- We have Switzerland, Canada, US, etc federation models to look at to adopt what is best for us given our peculiarities.

Northern Nigerian legislators and politicians should note that any attempt to frustrate immediate restructuring of the Nigeria at this critical point will bring nothing but doom.

This lady is a native of a coven. She should have turned him down without mentioning something that would psychological ly diminish the 'man' in him forever. This is pure witchcraft.

By the way, what is the essence of proposing to a lady in public places instead of somewhere private? Is it more romantic? I don't understand.

Some embarrassments are avoidable.
