What are the chances of securing a Visa for Master's Degree in Human resources Management?

I beg just target the Female VO, she is the best. The other VOs are okay, they don't just deny people.

How did you schedule your appointment, I got denied on the 25th of last month, since then, I havent been able to make another appointment.

what time of the day did you try booking the appointment on the US site? Morning afternoon, or night? weekdays or weekend?

I think new dates are released in the morning. Around 10-11am but the old dates like the dropped date are released around 6-7pm. So wen I was searching for dates I use my 3 life lines around 10:30am,3pm and 6:30pm. And again, it depends on the location of the embassy.

kingcobra2003: I got denied on Tuesday, 16th July, applying again, got a date for next week. The agent charged my as off though, but it was worth it cos my sch resumes on the 13 August.
@ fidelia.john: was that ur case too? I mean a denial and another interview in about a week?

Don't worry u are getting it this time around, just make sure u knw the reason y u were delayed the first time. I didn't get my date thru the help of agent o.

Ms Nas: I don't think thet tactic works in Lagos anymore . Everything is now automated, your number just pops up automatically. If you don't answer, they will keep using Public Address to call you

Going too pee still works in Abj embassy o, it is not automated.

Today marks exactly 10days that I was delayed, I thank God today the story has changed. Here is my testimony.
Me:Good Morning Ma
Vo: Morning
Vo: you are going to wiu
Me: yes Ma, for my masters degree in computer Sci
Vo: wen did u graduate
Me: 2009
VO: wat have u being doing since then
Me: I went for my nysc in 2010 and I was retained where I did my ppa which is a univ.
VO: Ok, who is sponsoring you?
Me: My uncle
VO: Why ur uncle?
Me: I’ve be staying with him since wen I was young because as at then he has no child of his own but thank God he have a baby boy now
VO: Do u ve is statement?
Me: Yes (I then pass it to her). I was still holding a statement of account in my hand
Vo: Which statemt are u having there
Me: Mine, the one I saved out of my little income
Vo: Let me see it
I passed it to her. Then she started typing ooo and then here comes the statement I have been waiting to hear, your visa has being approve….
She dey tell me how I go take flight to my school, my mind no dey dere again since she has said the important thing I wanted to hear.

It was the photocopy of the original stamped and signed statement.

My Visa was denied today at abuja.


The interview went like this;
VO: goodmorning
ME: good morning sir
VO: you are going to wiu for ur masters degree?
ME: yes sir
VO:did u write any standardize test?
ME: yesI did, I did toefl and gre
Vo: let me see the gre
Me:I showed him. Though the result is low, I just handed it over to him. So he check and returned it bck to me
Vo: so your uncle his sponsoring you?
Me: yes sir
Vo: what is the assurance that ur uncle can sponsor you.
Me: he sponsored my undergarduate program and he has a good job now
Vo: how much does ur undergraduate cost?
Me: close to 2million naira

Vo: what does he do
Me: he is a petroleum engineer
Vo: can I have his stmt of acct?
Me: I gave him.( It was a scanned copy I told u abt tht I said the bank said they will send the original to the embassy
Vo: he typed on his system for a very long time and said sorry bla bla.

babsharon: White paper with stanbic logo right?? If yes, your visa is waiting for you because that's the letterhead they do used, either giving it †̥o account holder or third party. Put away your fear !!! Cheers

Thank you for your response. What am trying to say is that both the statment of account and recommendation that I have with me re duplicate copies.

When I am asked 'what is your undergraduate percentage' can I give it in CGPA or I have to say it in percentage?

risher ris: the point is...try to open it up,you will not be allowed to go in with a sealed envelope at the check point.try open it up and understand what the statement is really saying becos you might be asked to defend it.the consular might ask you how much your sponsor makes annually,do not let what you say contradict the amount in your statement.so try open it up and understand statement inside out.confidential in the sense that when an outsider picks it up,he/she should not check what is inside parcel.

The acct is not his salary acct, so am collecting his pay slip. So wen asked of his annual income wht should I say?

Please I need help o, my sponsor gave me the package from the bank which contain the stmt of account and letter of recommendation but the envelop is sealed and addressed to the embassy and it is written on it CONFIDENTIAL. Should I open it or I take it to the embassy like that?

babsharon: Since you dont have money in your salary account !!! I think you should go with your sponsor statement of account only
NOTE: check if you sponsor statement of account meet up with your tuition fees.

Thank you Babsharon, my sponsor's statement doubled my tuition fee. But can I go with my personal stment which is not a salary acct incase I am asked abt my savings?

Please I need help. I want to know if there is a need of adding my statement of acct to my sponsor statement of acct since I have stated on the DS-160 form that I am presently working. And if yes, must it be the salary acct? My salary acct is only to receive salary and most of the time is always empty. Please I need urgent response.
