Politics without bitterness. That's how northen politicians play their own politics. Many people don't even know that till date shehu and elrufai are close buddies. I mean these guys are friends since from childhood. Is just that they both have different political views and don't agree with one another on some certain issues. Nice one there mallam el-rufai |
Firefire:Funny. You call insults and wishing the President all negative things constructive criticism? Hmm maybe I need to check my dictionary again to see the clear meaning of constructive criticism. |
Nbote:May God bless you my bro. Maintaining and upgrading the ones you have now are the key words and that's exactly what I was preaching in a similar thread like this some days ago. Diversification in the power sector is not an option for now. Let's maintain and upgrade what we already have now. But you see that nuclear power of a thing you mentioned; hmm I don't agree with that |
obailala:Solar is good but is efficiency is very low. Even the advanced countries that fashola is trying to immolate only use solar as a backup |
Firefire:Well that's politicians for you. They all make promises. There was even one in my local government that promised to sponsor the hajj fairs of everybody in the locality. He also promised them a 24/7 power supply. And this was somebody that ran for the seat of Councillor. What am I even saying; the last administration also made their own promises which they failed to fulfill at the end of the day. And the last time I checked, this administration still have three more years to go. So I think we should exercise some Patience |
Firefire:And you are the holy saint send from heaven that is not sentimental right? Oh I get it. Your definition of sentimental is when one doesn't agree with your opinions. You and your likes have been seeing everybody as a problem{or some sort of neocolonialist} while ignoring your own leaders who are suppose to deliver the real dividends of democracy to you guys. I have never seen where you blame Jonathan or any of your leaders for one thing or another on this forum, but the only person you love to blame is buhari. You go like this; buhari this buhari that. Now is this even normal? Keep blaming the wrong people for all your woes while exonerating your leaders from the problems bedeviling their followers. Your cup of tea |
csamii:I never asked anybody here to take me serious in the first place. Opinions are expressed here everyday and the onus will always lay on you and the other members of your bandwagon to counter my opinion with a superior argument. Bringing dialogue on the table doesn't necessarily mean force won't be used on the militants. And that's why I think you don't know how stick and carrot approach operates. |
Firefire:Can you define injustice? Where is the injustice? Was buhari the one that squandered their monthly allocation or was buhari the person that tied the hands of Niger/delta governors so that they can't work for their people? Look at a state like bayelsa for instance. A very tiny state with little population, bayelsa state is one of the states in Nigeria receiving the highest statuary allocation but yet the state hasn't paid it workers salaries for months now. Oh yeah, blame buhari as usual for this. Look at the NDDC that was purposely created for the Niger/delta, what are they doing over there? Can't the Niger/deltans ask their leaders questions? Can't they hold their leaders responsible? Can't they task their leaders to do more for them? Let's even use Jonathan as a case study. This was a man that was VP and later became president. What has he done for even his community? The last time I checked, his brothers were complaining bitterly about inadequate clean water to use for their domestic needs. Why don't you go ahead and blame buhari for all the woes of Niger/deltans. Funny enough, Gusau{capital of zafara} has a better road network than even yenegoa. Funny people |
Now op how did he{buhari} bowed to the militants? Haven't you ever heard about something called "stick and carrot approach". I read somewhere that youths with only sticks and machetes are even the ones apprehending the " dreaded militants". I guess so much can't be said about how the militants are very powerful if youths are even the ones dealing with them So many kids roaming around on this board. Funny |
And what's the fuzz about this? Recession is not like a permanent thing but a temporary thing. Besides the world itself is in recession due to fall in aggregate demands which is not just peculiar to Nigeria alone. Btw you can't say Nigeria is in recession now because we are still in our second quarter. Will Nigeria be in recession next month? Probably yes. Nigeria will eventually be in recession but it will still bounce back in some couple of months. We should even be greatful that ours will be caused by demand in size stock which can always be addressed in the short run. So I don't see the big fuzz here |
The price though. Well this is city of dreams I.e Macau in China. This place is about 2trillion naira
|
Idrismusty97:same thing came into my mind. Like with one 1trillion naira, someone can build one burg khalifa |
EasternActivist:Funny. I can easily go back to my village and farm, but same can't be said about my friends in the Niger/delta |
SeverusSnape:Funny. What's my biz with the oil in that place? The Niger/delta situation right now is just like cutting off your nose just to spit your face. At the end who bears the major burns of pipelines vandalism? Is it not the same Niger/delta? Buhari won't be there tomorrow. Maybe, just maybe, it might be too late before you people realized that you are only destroying your place, A place you call home. And a home that your next generation will inherit, and the generation that might be angry with their forefathers{you people} foolishness |
SeverusSnape:Neah you see when they{militants} started the pipelines vandalism and all those other stuffs, I was angry at that time. I was angry because they are destroying their lands. I was angry because they are putting their people out of jobs. I was angry because they are chasing away any potential investor from their land. I was angry because they are destroying their waters. I was angry because the average Nigerian will be affected by their silly acts. And today, Is that anger still raging in me? I will tell you NO my friend. And you know why am not angry again? Yeah simple. You can't always help someone who doesn't want to help himself. Seriously lad, I don't care about whatever the militants do in Niger/delta again. So join me, let's watch how the boom-boom-boom continues
|
EasternActivist:Yeah let the bombs keep going off in the creeks. I'm totally in their support on this.Funny people
|
Yeah keep up with the good work. Blow up YOUR lands. Oh least I forget, daura is the place that will be affected by oil spillage or gas flaring. Please don't stop. Lolx |
Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un. From Allah{swt} we come and to him we shall return. May Allah{swt} forgive her sins and send his rahmah to her grave. Ya Allah, when our own time eventually comes, please take our souls as Muslims. Ameen summa Ameen |

falseman:lolx why are you hallucinating? Why are you typing with so much anger? HAHA. Dude as long as the militants are only destroying their lands, that's their cup of tea. I won't be affected one bit with whatever that happens in the creeks neither will buhari be affected. Today he is the president, tomorrow somebody else will occupy the seat. But I tell you, why they are busy destroying their lands, military will be using some of them for shooting practice in the same creek. I'm just saddened with the way a person will be destroying his house just because he want somebody to notice him. Where is the sense in that? P.S the lies that northerners own 80% of oil blocks in Nigeria has been disprove a long time ago. |
SeverusSnape:What are the militants "agitating" for? The 13% derivation or the huge monthly allocations their governors get? Or is it their amnesty program? What about the NDDC? They want a spoonfeeding treatment from the government because of what? So because oil is under their lands, they don't want to do anything again? What kind of lazy man thinking is this? |
Presidiotbuhari:I'm not a Yoruba person and I don't have any connection with Yoruba people{you can check my post history and confirm}. Here I'm just telling some people the truth. You can't be destroying bayelsa/delta states thinking you are destroying katsina state. That's a very poor and silly logic |
viccassi:And like I always say, the militants are only destroying bayelsa/delta states thinking they are destroying katsina state. The oil spillage and gas flaring happens in only bayelsa state not in katsina state. Economic activities are affected only in bayelsa state and not in katsina state. You that is cheering them up is affected negatively and not buhari that is currently in asorock, probably eating now. So where is the sense in destroying your own lands thinking you are destroying another man's land? Where is the sense? |
SeverusSnape:The militants are not innocent citizens rather they are economic terrorists. We can as well call boko haram innocent citizens if we are to go by your illogical claim |
SeverusSnape:Chest beater? How? I'm not in the military. I'm just telling you what the government can do the militants for those of you thinking that some ragtag elements are untouchable |
cktheluckyman:Funny. Dude don't underestimate what a government can do or can't do. Just because no one has been apprehended doesn't mean the government doesn't know what they are doing. In situations like this, serious considerations are always taken. When boko haram started their madness, they also thought they are untouchable and invincible, but when a serious government came hard on them, today their{boko haram} story has technically changed. The creek is a difficult terrain and all that, but the creeks is not as big sambisa forest. Watch out how the military will start picking up the people hiding these militants, their sympathizers and the local chiefs in their communities. |
cktheluckyman:The President should beg some ragtag criminals; are you joking or what? They greatest mistake those militants are making is thinking they are invincible. You know, aside from destroying bayelsa/delta that they are currently doing, they are also inviting the military for war. Just watch and see what will happen this in the coming days. We didn't negotiate with boko haram, so anybody thinking the government will negotiate with these ragtag elements is only dreaming. I hope you guys cheering them up are enjoying your 24/7 electricity supply. |
TPAND:Nobody will dialogue with any militants. Their time is coming. Already the President has issued them strict warning which I think is fair enough |
Oloniyan:Buhari will not negotiate with them neither will any amnesty be granted to them. When the military start with these ragtag militants, I don't want to hear people screaming genocide. Funny how someone will be destroying his land thinking he is dealing with the President. Is this not foolishness at the highest order. They are blowing up bayelsa/Delta while the president's hometown is daura{katsina}. I laugh
|
drss:He just issued them a strict warning and I think that is fair enough |
DankemzI:What are you saying? Don't you have senators or representatives? |

you were angry because they were destroying their land??... Liar, we all know why you're angry, and it's because of the oil and for the fact they are frustrating the government of the dullardeen. Since when did you people start caring about the Niger Delta?
