Suntzung:I don't think any politician is behind them. The main person that is behind the militants is non other person than Tompolo. The man thinks he is smart whereas he is not. The FG are just taking their time, new strategies are playing out behind the board. Watch and see |
drss:Just listen to yourself. So human lives are valueless to you just because you want some ragtag militants to confront the military? What point exactly do you want the militants to prove? Where is your conscience? |
People are so ignorant here. The president issued a very strict warning to the militants and some people are misinterpreting the president's warnings as cowardice. Funny |
drss:That's were you don't get it my bro. We can't all force buhari to be like yar'adua, while the former believes in force and all those strongheaded stuffs, the latter believes in diplomacy and all the softhearted stuffs. Buhari isn't a fool. You think he gave the militants this strict warning because he is afraid of what they might do? Think again dude because the world is already watching. |
virus04:You are the one thinking like a kid. The FG won't negotiate with them rather maximum force with be use on the militants until they bend. You guys think the militants are invincible right? Well the days ahead will tell |
knightsTempler:I hope you will stand with them when bullets start flying around in the creeks |
Funny. Well when the military start dealing with these militants, I just hope people won't scream genocide. Besides there are so many ways the federal government can deal with people sabotaging their efforts. Many people are so ignorant of what the military/FG are capable of doing. The militants think they are invincible and their sympathizers are cheering them up. When the story changes, some people shouldn't say we didn't warn them |
futurewise11:Çc: mynd44, lalasticlala, seun |
seunmsg:My bro I seriously don't know what the mod wanted to achieve. Lol. Maybe traffic or another thing. This drama happened during the PIB saga and many folks have disproved the lies that senator enang said. |
This is an old news and I don't see any reason why it did grace your homepage. I even had to create a thread last week just to disprove this flimsy lies flying around. This was the thread below; https://www.nairaland.com/3110309/oil-blocks-owners-88-owned Çc: mynd44, lalasticlala, seun etc please do take note |
peaceuntous:You guys should stop lying please. How can 500 herdsmen armed with ak47s terrorized a community for 2hrs and no policemen, soldiers etc were alerted? Or is it not the same anambra state that have employed the services of helicopters to guide its borders against invading "herdsmen" ? |
You guys should better stop deceiving yourselves with this "invincible herdsmen" stories. Listen to this cheap lie -"About 500 herdsmen with AK47s were operating freely from 1am - 3am"; Is this some kind of joke or what? Well even the "invincible Fulani herdsmen" that attacked nimbo community was a capital lie. Till date, no arrest was made and a single Fulani cow was not spotted around that nimbo uzo community. You guys should keep on terrorizing yourselves and at the same time blaming the "invincible Fulani herdsmen" for all I care |
omenka:Well said. I even opened a thread about something like this some hours ago. The whole media dramatization was uncalled for and unnecessary. The military/FG goofed big time I tell you. I just hope they have learned their lesson |
sunmike065:I don't think whoever that is doing the interview will have a problem interviewing some rescued people, but the only problem might be with the ones that are traumatic. And this can still be corrected when the traumatized ones are back to their senses |
ndcide:Instead of waiting for their captors{whoever they might be} to release them, we could have just apply the basic military tactics in rescuing all the girls at once |
First of all, the media hype that was given to the rescue of this girl was very silly, unprofessional on the part of the military and might endanger the lives of the 193 chibok girls who are still in boko haram captivity. I asked myself this question; instead of rescuing this girl{Amina Ali} from sambisa forest, why didn't the military put/inject some tracking device on the girl after confirming that she is truly one of the missing chibok girls, and then quietly send her back to her captors so that she will lead them{military} to the other missing chibok girls? Since from what the girl said, she was an escapee. This is what any professional military will do. I know emotions are running high especially with the parents of these chibok girls, but I still believe rescuing the other girls that are alive is the major priority. This is entirely my own opinion, so people shouldn't read meanings into it. Nevertheless, May God continue to bless our military and may the other chibok girls be reunited with their parents/guardians safely |
Xapio:lolx |
Is there anything like Abia state electricity power supply{ASEPS}? This I don't know but what I know was there was a kind of dispute between Enugu disco and one geometric{Don't know if is a disco} over one Aba power generation. At some point, the governor{abia state} said something like reactivating one geometric power project which has reached its advance stage. Maybe the governor has fulfilled his promise and that might likely be the reason why umuahia is getting the 15-20hrs electricity a day |
Babacele:I'm talking about efficiency here my friend. |
989900B:What is he diversifying in the energy sector? I think it will be more better if we concentrate on the gas and hydro we are using today instead of compiling the entire problems of the energy sector by jumping into what we don't have the money to do neither can we maintain it. Do you think "nuclear energy" is a child play? I don't want to believe that fashola dont know what renewable energy entails. You guys think wind, tidal, solar and biomass energy are ABC. |
OBAGADAFFI:It was a slip of the thumb. My mistakes there. Thanks for the correction. |

Thanks for the correction here. Me bad |
YoursGEJ:My friend renewable energy is like the best source of power generation in the world today. Nigeria today don't have the money to diversify its energy. We don't have what it takes to maintain these solar powers and windmills. Understand this bro |
989900B:If your fashola did say he wants to diversify our energy from fossil fuel/fossil power plants to renewable energy, than I don't think that man knows what he is doing as the power minister{besides the man is a lawyer so I shouldn't be surprised}. Even the industrialised nations that he is trying to copy were using coal, fossil power plants in the last century and even till date. How can any reasonable person ignore the abandoned gas we have in Nigeria and start looking for windmills/solar panels we don't have or produce? |
Nigerians that can't maintain common hydro and fossil power plants are now thinking of windmills and solar energy. Funny |
YoursGEJ:Though Nigeria isn't an industrialised nation yet, but how many solar or windmills do you think can power a state in nigeria? Don't forget my friend, at a very low wind speed, the average windmill can't produce enough energy to overcome its internal frictions and some other losses. And if the wind gets too high, that's another problem again. Lol, can Nigerians beat that? |
YoursGEJ:But wind and solar are not efficient. And the are very expensive to run too |
Standing5:Whatever the case might be, solar can never be as efficient as a power plant that utilizes gas |
aresa:You see my friend wind and solar are very expensive to maintain. Besides, erecting windmills that will generate the amount of power/megawatts Nigerians need will likely run into billions of dollars. Aside from the pollution and environmental degradation cause by fossil fuels/fossil power plants, it still remains our best option for power generation for the meantime. Why? Well fossil power plants have the capacity to generate huge amount of electricity in just one single place, but the average windmill or your solar can't do this. I don't think we should also ignore the efficiency of fossil power plants and its cost effectiveness. I don't even think any power minister in Nigeria will ever ignore fossil power plants and venture into renewable energy when we have gas in abundance |
TonyeBarcanista:True. Bayelsa is supposed to be like the most developed state in Nigeria considering its small size and people, but I guess bad leadership has seriously affected the growth of the state. I don't know but I still believe Silva was a better candidate to Dickson. I still don't understand why you bayelsans voted dickson. Is it because of Silva's affiliation with APC or is it that Silva himself wasn't an option? I need some clarity please |
TonyeBarcanista:Funny. You want him to make reckless statements like this before his reelection campaign? Lol. Well the problem I have with the governor's statement was generalization. He should have said "some bayelsans" instead of saying "bayelsans" are lazy. The governor indirectly insulted himself with his generalization, because the last time I checked, he is also a bayelsan |
That was a very reckless statement from the governor. You can't just make reckless generalization. I have come across many hardworking Nigerians and some of them are from the ijaw tribe. The ones{ijaws} I know might by flirting-flirting and all that, but when it comes to doing their work, they do it with all senses of responsibility. Though some of them{militants} are lazy but not all of them are lazy. |
