TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by finestboy1: 3:00pm On Mar 17, 2020
OK. Thanks. My spouse is also a primary school teacher with two years of work experience and holds a Master's Degree as well. My fears were that teaching is highly regulated in Canada and would require some sort of licence or certificate. .However, for Express Entry it doesn't matter as long as the NOC main duties matches your own JD. Thanks for the Info.
ebixxx:
Hello!

It is not necessary at all, as it is presently not a prerequisite for getting a teaching job in Nigeria. The requirement is that you should be qualified to work in the role you claim in your country, and in Nigeria presently, you are allowed to teach without an education degree {I learnt they (Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria) are going to make changes to that soon though and insist that only those with education qualifications - NCE, BEd, PGDE - are qualified teachers, but it has not taken effect yet}.

My wife does not have an Education degree.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by finestboy1: 1:40pm On Mar 17, 2020
Hi Ebixxx. I wanted to ask you if having a Degree in Education is compulsory for NOC 4032.( Express Entry) Did your spouse have an Education Degree? Thanks.
ebixxx:
In my opinion, since you cannot change it, there is no point lossing sleep over it. Move on with gathering all you need for your application, and create your EE profile.

I don't think it makes much of a difference.
The marriage certificate is basically to confirm that you are married, so for that it will serve its purpose. Please do NOT be tempted to alter anything on your marriage certificate, else you will invalidate it and cannot be issued with an original replacement (although you can get a certified true copy which will still bear the same old info, so why put yourself through that stress).

My wife's designation on our marriage certificate was "corps member" and we claimed work experience as "teacher", yet no questions were asked.

Haven said the above, no two applications are the same. Have a plausible explanation for your situation ready, in the event you are asked. You said "that designation - 'Analyst' - was used freely by employees in your office and you performed similar roles", you can remix this as your explanation if ever you are asked directly to explain (which I doubt you will be).

WHAT IS ATIKUTITIS ?

ATIKUTITIS can be define as a diseases that is transmitted to greedy human beings through a vector called ATIKU.

Risk factors of the Disease :

1.Being a PDP delegate
2.PDP membership
3.Urge to get rich by any means
4.Blind hatredness of Buhari.
5.Illiteracy
6.Mental retardation

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS

-Mental disorientation towards greediness,
-Lack of contentment, and inability to see truth.
-Forgetfulness of all what is right
-Disloyalty and dessertness of those you are formerly loyal to e.t.c

Brief History of the Disease :

The disease was first discovered in Portharcourt during PDP's presidential primaries.

The disease first affect the PDP delegates after they were bitten by the vector(ATIKU) that transmits the pathogen called ATIKUS to them. They(PDP delegates) are the first host and reservoirs of the pathogen Atikus.

These first Victims of the disease were said to be now transmitting it to their friends and families who they comes in contact with and shares some of the pathogen they harbour with them

HOW TO PREVENT/Treat ATIKUTITIS INFECTION

The ATIKUTITIS INFECTION can be prevented :
1.By avoiding it's risk factors as mentioned above
2. using Atiku vaccine(popularly called Buharilin)
When it has already occured can be treated using BUHARIQUINE injection IV For four years.
It was discovered that the disease can be eradicated by February next year after collective use of PVC to again vote for BUHARI who is currently the only Source of medication and vaccine to such deadly disease.
We pray may God continue to protect Nigerians from all life threatening diseases like HIV, Atikutitis, Ebola and the rest.... Amen

I can never get tired of learning. Especially when it has to do with topics like this. Something that has to do with aeroplanes. I know ALL, I mean the names of ALL the planes that fly in & out of Lagos just by their logo. I even know the time they all takeoff and land. I just hear the sound of an aircraft, check the time and I will tell you the one that's touching down.

I was probably "cursed" with the knowledge curse. And Mr Explorers knows how to feed my insatiable thirst.

Lol...No time brotherly. Nigeria is a jungle. Anyone who has the means to leave, I'll advice such person not to think twice. You fit still come back naija when you don achieve for up town and build base for there. But leave first...

Look at our political space and the ruling class; a good number of our leaders have that "Foreign touch". From our ministers (take a look at their cvs)to a great number of the governors to even Buhari grin. Many of them schooled uptown, hustled and made money up town, have their kids born and bred uptown and still have links uptown.

Look at the great captains of Industry; From Adenuga, to Elumelu and a host of top CEOS. They either schooled and worked uptown and brought in forex and expertise when they were made there. They ALL still have solid links uptown.

Look at the Techspace and the biggest performers ; From Konga, paga jumia,Irokotv,Hotels.ng, Paystack etc. Their founders ALL have that foreign touch. They were either born abroad, have dual citizenship, schooled abroad or hustled abroad. So even if their ventures fold, they have what and where to fall back on.
My thoughts exactly.. Why do our elites send their children abroad? Even your president dey UK for medical checkup because the healthcare system in Nigeria is Zero. The foreign touch is key here.

I can't count the number of times I have rolled my eyes, laughed, smiled and left my mouth open with surprise after reading a lot on this thread so far. It's been an eye opener.

This is why during visa interviews, they sometimes ask if the applicant has ever traveled out of the country and ask where. Blind patriotism will be out the window once a first-timer walks out of JFK airport in Newyork and sees the difference between a developed country and where they are coming from lol.

Despite being here for what seems like ages now, I still visit some parts of the country and get wowed like a first timer. Nigerians complain about paying taxes abroad, they never talk about what the tax payers' money have done to the level of development (infrastructure) or that at the start of the year, people get back some of their taxes to do whatever they want. I got $9k as my tax return in March.

When you hear "Million", you think it's a fortune lol. Well, I hope people's dreams come true and they survive wherever they choose to be. I'm glad fate smiled upon me and sent me here and made all my dreams come true. It remains the best thing to happen to me. God bless America. smiley
So true.. I can totally relate, I used to be Mr Patriotic.. Mr i will stay and make it Nigeria.. When I saw Dallas for the first time, I was like damn.. I have been living in a village all this while grin grin I was really wowed and impressed at what tax payers money is being utilized...I sometimes wish our leaders could replicate what they see when they travel abroad. cry

Because I applied once and they gave me 2 years. I just renewed and it was approved but I don’t know how many years they gave me yet. All Nigerians I have seen it’s 2 years.

But there are exceptions, if you are a PHD student and you will be travelling to US for conferences, you get 10 years.

Apart from that, Nigerians are given 2 years. Ghana is 5 years, Morocco is 10 years, etc
No Canada grants you visa according to the number of years remaining on your passport.

This is not only for the scandinavian. You would find same in Canada. Alot of Phd holders or medical doctors driving cabs. Your educational qualifications would get you into the country, but employers won't recognize your certificates. This is common in countries that take in large amounts of immigrants. It takes time to integrate, and some might never fully integrate.
@salford1.. Do you live in Salford, manchester?
