Prayer for Millions of Americans Affected by Hurricane Sandy
Father God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, we call upon you to intervene, protect and provide for the millions of Americans affected by hurricane Sandy. We humbly ask that you comfort those who mourn for their loved ones who are injured or who have lost their lives because of this devastation. May Your mercy and grace bring needed consolation to America as we recover from this mass destruction.
We give praise and thanks to You Lord, for it is You, the God of all grace and mercy, who will ultimately bring healing, restoration and encouragement to those seeking to rebuild their lives. Amen
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

@ op, do you know you can process the visa yourself with less than 100k? How? 1.register your business name with CAC cost is 5k to 10k. It takes a week to get d certificate. 2. Use the Business name certificate to open business account with any bank of ur choice. 3. Run the account for 6 months. 4. Get a tax clearance from ur state. 5. After 6 months get invitation letter from ur sister or hotel reservation. 7.apply for d visa after the six months of opening d account and by His grace u will get d 6 months visit visa. If you start this month or november 2012 you will get the visa in June 2013. This is better than 10 years ban. N.B: you can register ur business name at Trade Fair for 5k during next month 2012 Trade Fair in Lagos or u go to oyingbo CAC office. This is my own little contribution. Shalom!

Time we tell before ACHen is booted out of south west states.
We are tired of noise without anything to show.
I am still wondering what ACN LG chairmens are doing in Lagos with monhly allocation.
I have never seen a road been graded by LG before not to talk of maintanig roads.
All the representative, both at state and federal are all criminals.
I hate PDP but I can see that ACHen is badddddddddddddddd.
Maybe Labour Party will be the next to rule south west who knows, ONLY GOD.
Congrat Mimiko.
Mimiko, before I forget u better perform beyond expectation so that your party can take over south west because ACHen is now a failure and PDP is blood tasty.
Politics › Ondo Guber: PDP Accepts Defeat, Congratulates Mimiko by Firefire(op): 4:33pm On Oct 21, 2012
ABUJA- THE National Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has accepted defeat and congratulated the Governor-elect in the Saturday Ondo State gubernatorial election, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko.

The PDP also commended the people of Ondo State for what it termed their emphatic rejection of tribalism and narrow political adventurism which it stressed were the hallmark of the campaign of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN in the just concluded gubernatorial election.

The PDP in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary on Sunday, Chief Olisa Metuh, however hailed its candidate, Chief Olusola Oke for his courage, determination and doggedness, adding, ‘’though the PDP was not declared the winner of the election, the Party was happy with the performance of its candidate “who obviously joined the race late.”

‘’How better do Nigerians say no to the drumbeats of tribalism and political narrowness than what the people of Ondo have just done with their votes? It is a quantum forward leap for those who understand the dangers of undue manipulation of national diversity for narrow political whims and a huge set back, utter rejection for the champions of ethnic politics.

‘’While we commend, Chief Olusola Oke, his running mate, members and supporters of our party, we wish to also congratulate Chief Olusegun Mimiko on his victory. In spite, another lesson is here for the nation, especially the opposition political parties to draw from the commitment of our great Party to the full entrenchment of the legacy of free, fair and credible polls.

“Ostensible is the manifest unwavering devotion of President Goodluck Jonathan to the cause of democracy. He led the campaign of our Party to Ondo and promised free and fair election. Free and fair election he has once more delivered.”

Also hailing the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and the security agencies for the peaceful conduct of the polls, the PDP however urged ‘’them to learn from any observed loopholes so as to continue improving in future elections.’’

as all of us are aware now. No party is better because they are all cross carpeting. All thiefing politicians!!!!
However, I have come to my personal opinion that ACN is not the best party neither PDP a good option.
Fashola, as at today has performed below expectations from Lagosians.
ACN as a party have LORD Tinubu singlerly nominating who get what ticket. No election, no voting but Nomination by the LORD of ACN.
PDP is even better small, they allow election while carjole party members to vote for party choice. (I am refering to Party Primaries)
The TIME HAS COME for us to taste another wine. Enough of ACN braging without much to show all over the western state.
The braging of ACN in Ondo is beyond personal human being braging.
They are talking as if they are GOD. Na wa for them oooooo
PDP can never be an option. They blood they suck is too much.
MIMIKO I BEG CARRY GO, show us the stuff LP can deliver and maybe LABOUR PARTY could be the alternative in South West.
God Bless GEJ
God Bless South West

I hate PDP. I have soft spot for ACN before now. I voted for Fashola based on his first term performance. The vote in my region Badagry do goes to PDP but we all decided to vote ACN enmass. One Rukayat of Fed House Of Assembly, One Avoseh for Senate and Fashola as the governor.
They promised heaven on earth.
After the election Rukayat and Avoseh have ran away, promises FORGOTTEN.
I stand to be corrected. General Babatunde Fashola of Lagos state have not done anything that could make him win the heart of Lagosians has it was before his second term.
We have more LAWs where the Law enforcement becomes the Judge in there case.
Fashola second term is completely rubish.
I will appreciate if Fasola supporters here can give a discriptive list of his achievement is this second term
Emperor Tinubu, the devil you know is better than the angel you dont know. Please continue to amass wealth, I dey gbadun the job you are creatings. Atleast ALL those companies own by the Emepror employs Nigerians.
ACB Local Government chairmen entroned by the emperor; what are they doing. They are just collecting allocation and sharing the rest after paying the agreed to the Emperor.
Well, 2015 God sparing our life. We are yet to know the party to watch.
PDP - Blood sucking government (PDP Rules in North)e.g BH
ACN - Chop I Chop party. No Party primaries just handpicking and anointing by the Emperor.
CPC - Chai Buhari!!! Regional Party (Shine your Eyes)
APGA - Dead with Ojukwu
LP - One man, one show
So which party come dey for Naija that you can trust?
Well, every political animals in all those parties are Cross carpeting or political defectors.
Moving from one party to another.
God help Nigeria.

Politics › Election: Read Before U Sell Your Vote by Firefire(op): 9:41am On Apr 04, 2011
As the general elections draw closer, politicians are getting desperate to more people to cast their votes in their favour.

Last week, an amazing drama unfolded as a politician tried frantically to convince my neighbour to cast his vote for a party. When the politician realized that his effort was getting him nowhere, he decided to use the power in his pocket. He brought out a bundle of N200 notes and dangled it in my neighbour’s face, basically the way you would dangle some bait to an animal you are trying to catch.

“How much is your vote?” he asked, with a deceptive smile on his face.

My neighbour hesitated for a moment, and then he grabbed a piece of paper and began to scribble down something. When he finished writing, he handed the piece of paper to the politician saying, “This is the value of my vote.”

The politician went through the paper briefly and then squeezed and threw it away, in my direction. He hurried away, saying that my neighbour wasn’t being rational.

My neighbour, realizing I was watching, picked up the paper and said, waving the paper at me, “Am I being irrational?”

I collected the paper and took a quickly look at it. He had written on the paper the breakdown of his family’s expenses, which the government (according to him) had so far failed to provide or make available for its citizens. He then multiplied everything by four (4) years. Something like this:

Security - N20,000 per month x 12 months x 4 years = N960,000

Generator - N40,000 per 2 years x 2 = N80,000

Fuel for generator - N1,000 per day x 365 days x 4 years = N1,460,000

Potable water - N500 per day x 365 days x 4 years = N730,000

Healthcare Insurance - N10,000 per month x 12 months x 4 years = N480,000

Education - N5,000 per month x 12 months x 4 years = N240,000

Housing - N500,000 per year x 4 years = N2,000,000

Total - N5,950,000 (five million nine hundred and fifty thousand naira)

“Well,” he explained as I continued to stare at his breakdown, “if asking for the basic necessities of life is not being rational, I wonder what is rational?”

“I wasn’t trying to be difficult,” he continued. “I believe this is a modest breakdown of expenses considering I have a wife and a kid. If you have a larger family, the value of your vote may be much higher than this,” he concluded.

So, my dear friend, if you want to sell your vote, I won’t say “don’t.” But, be like my neighbour. Make sure it is “worth its weight in gold.”

(Inspired by a true story)

"It will take total blindness to vote for ANYONE WHO CAN NOT OFFER NIGERIANS THESE BASIC NECESSITIES!!!!!:
Note’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’
(1) One can be intellectually blind.
(2 One can be blinded by sentiments
(3)One can be blinded by corruption and therefore afraid of the unknown, should power change hands; and finally
(4) One can be suffering from a combination of the above 4 terminal sicknesses"

The best way for a foolish man to be classified as wise man is to remain silent. Before promotion there must be assessment.

This is a list of notable men and women who have dishonoured the good image of Nigeria within and outside the country. The list includes, those who have been convicted through the legal system or the public opinion as well as those awaiting trial but with overwhelming evidences against them.

The following is a comprehensive list of convicted and suspected looters as officially published by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). As 2011 elections are around the corner, we can not afford to have any of them in government. Many of them have been entrusted in the past with our collective resources only to our regrets.

Politics › Court Frees Akwa Ibom Acn Governorship Candidate by Firefire(op): 1:41pm On Mar 31, 2011
A Federal high Court in Abuja, has granted bail to the governorship candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Akwa Ibom State, James Akpanudoedehe.

The Police has no evidence to link him with the alleged offence and granted him bail.

Ruling on Mr Akpanudoedehe's bail application, the presiding judge, Adamu Bello, said the police has no shred of evidence to link the politician with the alleged offence. He said the plan to hold onto the accused while the police go around to fish for evidence has no place in our law.

Kola Awodein, counsel to the accused, told Mr Bello that Mr Akpanudoedehe's arrest in Akwa Ibom State and his quick arraignment in Abuja was designed to keep him away from the campaign trail.

Mr Akpanudoedehe has been in police custody since last Friday following an order of the court that he be remanded pending his bail application hearing.
He was arraigned on a four-count criminal charge bothering on treason and felony, and pleaded not guilty to all.

The accused, a former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), was arrested over last week's clash between supporters of his party and those of the PDP in the state during which many people were killed and property worth millions of naira were damaged.

While walking down the street one day a Corrupt Senator was tragically hit by a car and died.
His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.
"Welcome to heaven," says St. Peter. "Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these
parts, you see, so we're not sure what to do with you."

"No problem, just let me in," says the Senator,
"Well, I'd like to, but I have orders from the higher ups. What we'll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity."
"Really?, I've made up my mind. I want to be in heaven," says the Senator.
"I'm sorry, but we have our rules.
And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell.
The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him.
Everyone is very happy and in evening dress. They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people. They played a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster, caviar and the finest champagne.
Also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly guy who is having a good time dancing and telling jokes.
They are all having such a good time that before the Senator realizes it, it is time to go.
Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator rises,
The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens in heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him, "Now it's time to visit heaven, "

So, 24 hours passed with the Senator joining a group of contented souls
moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns.
"Well, then, you've spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity."
The Senator reflects for a minute, then he answers: "Well, I would never have said it before, I mean heaven has been delightful, but
I think I would be better off in hell."
So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell,
Now the doors of the elevator open and he's in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage. He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above.
The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulders.

"I don't understand," stammers the Senator. "Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse, and we ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time. Now there's just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable. What happened?"
*The devil smiles at him and says, "Yesterday WE were campaigning.
Today,
YOU have voted,

Dear Nairalanders,
I need your opinion and advise here.

GOODLUCK EBELE JOHNATHANI have sympathy for GEJ to be President come May 2011, but I have loss confidence in him few minutes ago. reason being that I take time to go thru his short tenure as president and his many ACTs. GEJ Performed below expectation.
GEJ claims - No more queue at filling station and so what,
What about the Lack of Security, High cost of running his cabinet etc
So, GEJ I am deleting myself from your Face book friends, Volunteers list etc.
I will not vote for PDP again. It is a Party that promote and distribute Poverty. Poverty Distribution Party (PDP)
GEJ- can not outsmart those old fools and selfish elements in that party. GEJ sorry you loss my constituency vote.

MOHAMADU BUHARIThis man too is old. We need a young mind and vibrant person to occupy Aso rock.
Looking at the many past sins of Buhari, he should not be allow to be a civilian President after he truncated another democracy then.
Also, ethnically my opinion, this man should not be allow to be president.

NUHU RIBADUHis only achievement I know about is just EFCC.
So, he has been advised to go and contest for governorship or to the senate before eyeing the presidency.

Thou I have given my vote in voting section on Nairaland.
But I don't know who we can really support for Nigeria President.

This three people have comma and Fashola is not in the race.
What do you think my good people,

PRESS STATEMENT FROM DR SARAH JIBRIL ON ALLEGED COURT ACTION.

Greetings My Fellow Nigerians.

I woke up this morning to a shocking publication in some Nigerian Newspaper alleging that I have decided to go to court in pursuit of fraud against INEC and our party PDP with regards the primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party. The first thing that came to my mind at this point was not really the false notion being perpetrated in the media and other like forums but the fact that some people have taken it upon themselves to either be Dr Sarah Jibril or simply speak for her without her consent and this my people is very troubling.

I want to categorically state that i have not in any shape or form at this juncture in our democracy proceeded to court with respect to the last party primaries and neither have i made any form of representation via the media to this effect. If i decide to pursue any grievance in court , I would be noble enough to inform the people, which of course includes the press.

I was a candidate at the last PDP primaries and I thank God almighty that the election was held without incident for which a winner in the person of Dr Jonathan Goodluck emerged as the party flag bearer. I have made concerted efforts to extend my congratulations to Dr Good-luck on his success at the primaries and at this point, would like to call on all party faithful's, including the people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to rally round him and support his candidacy.

We as a nation and people have our challenges and the future for our country and citizens lies in the decisions we make today not tomorrow for democracy and democratic tenets to reign. Our nation's democracy is still developing and it would take a total commitment from everybody, irrespective of our political affiliations, religious believes and ethnic background to come together to help grow this child called NIGERIA. I am committing myself , time and resources to this goal and aspiration and would call on the people of Nigeria to give support to Dr Jonathan Goodluck as he flies not only the party banner but the peoples mandate towards April 2011.

Again I congratulate Dr Jonathan Goodluck, our party PDP and Nigerians. May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. AMEN.

i am nigerian student in malaysia, and i want to apply here in malaysia not in nigeria

pls if there is another document i need, let me know

You want to visit UK for ten days
1. You need to provide proof or source of your 3,000 USD e.g Employment, Business, Investment etc
2. Since your father will be footing the bill for you trip then, read this; If you are not working you should include financial documents of the person who supports you. If someone else is paying for your trip, explain why they are paying and include their financial details
3. You will need to proof your studentship of your profess school in Malaysia. e.g Letter from your school etc
If you can fulfil all this but not limited to this requirements you stand a better chance in your application.

I wish you best of Luck in your Application.

Politics › My Name Is Nigeria by Firefire(op): 10:59am On Sep 29, 2010
My name is Nigeria !

I need Re-Building and not Re-Branding.

In the next few days, am going to spend 10 billion Naira to celebrate my 50th birthday!

I am Nigeria !!!.

I am divided into 36 unequal states, plus my capital territory, christened ABUJA . I have millions of acres of arable land and billions of cubic litres of water, but I cannot feed myself. So I spend $1 billion to import rice and another $2 billion to import milk. I produce rice, but don't eat it. I have 60 million cattle but no milk. I have the capacity to feed the whole of Africa but I import most food instead.

I am hungry, please help and re-build me.

I drive the latest cars in the world but have no roads, neither can I boast of
manufacturing a bicycle's tyre. I lose family and friends everyday on my roads for which funds have been allocated to build and rehabilitate but the fund has been looted. I lose my young, my old, and my most brainy and productive people to the potholes, craters and crevasses they travel on everyday.

I am in permanent mourning, please re-build me.

My school has no teacher and my classroom has no roof. I take lecture notes through the window and live with 15 others in a single room. All my professors have gone abroad, some of the rest are awaiting visas. Those that remain, depend on money raked from the sales of hand-outs to students.

My students receive lectures for a maximum of 3 months in a year due to lecturers' strike or students' boycott of lectures because of lack of better condition of service and deplorable condition on campus. That explains why I have university graduates, who are semi- illiterates.

I want a future, please re-build me.

Malaria, typhoid and many other preventable diseases send me to hospitals which have no doctors, no medicines and no electric power. So my wife gives birth by candle light and surgery is performed by quacks. All the nurses have gone abroad and the rest are also waiting to go. I have the highest maternal and infant mortality rates in the world and future generations are dying before me.

I am hopeless, hapless and helpless, please re-build me.

I wanted change so I stood all day long to cast my vote. But even before I could vote, the results had been announced. When I dared to speak out, silence was enthroned by bullets. My rulers are my oppressors, and my policemen are my terrors. I am ruled by men in mufti, but I am not a democracy.

I have no verve, no vote, no voice, please re-build me.

I have over 50 million youths with no jobs, no present and no future. So my sons in the North have become street urchins and their brothers in the South have become militants. My nephews die of thirst in the Sahara and their cousins drown in the waters of the Mediterranean . My daughters walk the streets of Lagos , Abuja and Port Harcourt , while their sisters parade the streets of Rome and Amsterdam .

I am inconsolable, please re-build me.

My people cannot sleep at night and cannot relax by day. They cannot use ATM
machines, nor use cheques. My children sleep through the staccato of AK 47's, see

through the mist of tear gas, while we all inhale Carbon Monoxide, poisonous
CO-2 from popular 'I better pass my neighbour' (portable generators) and 'Okada' (motorbike taxis)

The leaders have looted everything on ground and below. They walk the land with haughty strides and fly the skies with private jets (28 of which were bought in the last 12 months). They have stolen the future of generations yet unborn and have money they cannot spend in several lifetimes, but their brothers die of hunger.

I want justice, please re-build me.

I can produce anything, but import everything. So my toothpick is made in China; my toothpaste is made in South Africa; my salt is made in Ghana; my butter is made in Ireland; my milk is made in Holland; my shoe is made in Italy; my vegetable oil is made in Malaysia; my biscuit is made in Indonesia; my chocolate is made in Turkey and my table water made in France.

My taste is far-flung and foreign. I no longer cook at home but take pride in eating at take-away outlets fashioned after the Western style of living.
Anything made in my land is inferior; I prefer those made in England , America or Europe . To crown it all, items made in my land but specifically sent abroad with made in England labels are brought back from 'Oyinbo' land at 5 times the original price it would have gone for had it been sold as home made,

please re-brand me.

My people are cancerous from the greed of their friends who bleach palm oil with chemicals; my children died because they drank 'My Pikin' with NAFDAC
numbers; my poor die because kerosene explodes in their faces; my land is dead because all the trees have been cut down; flood kills my people yearly because the drainage is clogged; my fish are dead because the oil companies dump waste in my rivers; my communities are vanishing into the huge yawns of gully erosion, and nothing is being done. My livelihood is in jeopardy, and I am in the uttermost depths of despondence,

please re-build me.

I have genuine leather but choose to eat it, So I spend a billion dollars to import fake leather. I have four (4) refineries, but prefer to import fuel, so I waste more billions to import petrol and diesel. I have no security in my country, but would rather send troops to keep the peace in another man's land. I have 160 dams, but cannot get water to drink, so I buy 'pure' water that broils my inwards. I have a million children waiting to enter universities, but my ivory dungeons can only take a tenth (10 %). I have no power (electricity) , but choose to flare gas, and vote billion of dollars every year to generate electricity but not a single watt has come from it. So, my people have learnt to see in the dark and stare at the glare of naked flares.

I have no direction, please re-build me.

My people pray to God every morning and every night, but commit every crime known to man because re-branded identities will never alter the tunes of inbred rhythms. Just as the drums of heritage heralds the frenzied jingles, remember - the Nigerian soul can only be Nigerian - fighting free from the cold embrace of a government that has no spring, no sense, no shame. So we watch the possessed, frenzied dance, drenched in silent tears as freedom is locked up in democracy's empty cellars.

I need guidance, please re-build me.

But then, why can I not simply be me, without being re-branded?

Or does my complexion cloud the colour of my character?

Does my location limit the lengths of my liberty? Does the spirit of my conviction shackle my soul?

Does my mien maim the mine of my mind? And is this life worth re-branding?

Is it re-branding that I need or complete re-building?

Others blame my calamities on the colonial master that has left my shore some 49 years ago. Without deceiving myself, I know I have problems, who will deliver me?

May be what I need is to be re-born, Christians call it being born-again.

Turning to a higher authority or changing direction. I mean to sincerely own up and turn to the man up-stairs, may be, just maybe solution will come from there.

To re-build a wobbling structure, there is need for dismantling of existing one (remember, if the foundation can be destroyed, what can the righteous do?),

Shall I then consider the idea muted by some of my own who have fled abroad?
Some call for 'Separation for Co-operation' , others call for true Federalism - while others are yet asking for the return to Parliamentary system.

Which way do I go? on October 1, 2009, I celebated my 49th birth day and my 50th is just around the corner, barely less than 2 weeks.

I do not want to enter my golden age without direction,

, so, please, help me God. Re-mould and Re-Build me.

PLEASE PRAY PERSISTENTLY FOR NIGERIA .

@ladman: I am sure that you do not live in Ilorin. I know what Ilorin was like 8 years ago, and I know what it is now. I personally never wish to go bacvk to what Ilorin was 8 years ago. If you prefer life in Ilorin as it was 8 years ago, then you are on your own.

When you are talking about Igbomina, and Ibolo town, you are being economical with the truth. There is no reasonable government, which does not distribute projects throughout its senatorial districts. The case of Bukola Saraki is no exception. There is no local government, which has not benefited from road construction, provision of potable water, and rural electrification, not to mention the fact that the state is the largest employer of labour throughout the entire state.

The complaint most people have is that there is many of them do not enjoy the benefit of large state funded projects, and the truth is that such large projects are based on economic expediency when resources are limited - and unless you will deny it the resources of Kwara are limited and we all know.

In spite of this, the fact that he has been able to tackle the problem of power, water supply, education, health, agriculture show that he is a man who has ideas, and leadership ability - PRESIDENTIAL MATERIAL - NUFF SAID.

You are OYO.
So, bukola now has added Abubakar to his name as his father did when he too want to be President.
Hun, Buko ko abubaka ni.

Jones had never invoked the mosque controversy as a reason for his planned protest. He cited his belief that the Quran is evil because it espouses something other than biblical truth and incites radical, violent behavior among Muslims.

But he said Thursday afternoon that he prayed about the decision and concluded that if the mosque was moved, it would be a sign from God to call off the Quran burning.

Jones' decision to call off the Quran burning was made after a firestorm of criticism from leaders around the world. The pope and several other Christian leaders were among those urging him to reconsider his plans, which generated a wave of anger among Muslims. In Afghanistan, hundreds of Afghans burned an American flag and chanted Death to the Christians to protest the planned Quran burning.

The pastor was not the only person to inject confusion into the debate over the New York mosque, which is planned to go up two blocks north of the trade center site

http://www.haaretz.com/news/international/u-s-pastor-reconsiders-cancelling-koran-burning-after-lied-to-by-n-y-imam-1.313111

I think why the Pastor want to burn the Quran is because of the ground Zero mosque controversies and his personal believe that the Qurans is evil because it espouses something other than biblical truth and incites radical, violent behavior among (RADICAL & SOME FANATICS/TERRORIST) Muslims.

In my own view. In as much as I belief the Pastor has liberty to do what he like. He should tread with caution becasue TERRORIST and SUCIDE mission will increase.

But Islam & follower of Mohamed should allow there Allah to fight and not always fight for themselve.

Shalom!

Goodluck Jonathan, Let me dedicate today to thank all of you who have in your reactions and comments on this page urged me to run in the forth coming 2011 presidential elections. Like I said elsewhere, offering myself for further service is not my decision to make alone. It is one decision that I must take in solemn consultation with God Almighty and p, eoples constituencies across our nation. The decision must ultimately be based on clarity of conviction and vision. It is in this regard that I want to thank the people of the North Central, South- South, North West, North East, South East and Southwest zones of the PDP for their encouragements, prayers and urgings. We have launched the Power Road Map and have also made some progress in the areas of Electoral Reforms with the appointment of Prof. Jega, signing of the Electoral Act and the prompt release of 87.7 billion naira to INEC and peace in the Niger Delta with the commencement in Obudu of the reorientation of repentant militants. I have also taken time to inform you of the progress made in tackling issues such as stimulating economic growth by providing generous credit facilities to the tune of 500 billion naira to the real sector, cleansing the financial sector with the signing into law of the AMCON Act to serve as a safety net against bad loans as well as the political support given to the head of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to take decisive action to protect investors in the capital market . In the anti corruption war, I am pleased to state with a clear conscience that this administration has not interfered with the EFCC and the ICPC and I have instructed the Attorney General to treat EVERY Nigerian equally under the law with no sacred cows. I also told you of the implementation of the one year Action Plan for the education sector to increase the capacity of the sector to attract funding and ensure that such funding is channelled into increasing the service delivery capacity of the sector. Indeed I took time to enlighten you of our plans to pay living wages to ALL workers under the employ of the Federal Government in addition to the 150 billion naira set aside for the bail out of the textile industry with 30 billion naira of that already disbursed. In addition to these, I gave you details of the progress we made in the aviation sector such that our efforts bore fruit with the Category 1 certification awarded Nigeria which means that Nigerian registered airlines and air crafts can now fly directly to ANY airport in the United States. In the down stream sector of the oil industry I took the time to enlighten you of plans now in advanced stages to build new refineries so we can refine locally and export to fuel thirsty neighbours. I also ordered the minister of Petroleum to clean up the sector so that exports can be maximized and further downstream to make fuel available in our filling stations. I am constantly pleased to read your comments on this page testifying to the ease with which you now buy petrol for your cars. These and many other programmes and plans I have shared with you to let you know that in as much as there is a frenzy of activities occasioned by the coming elections, I have not deviated from my primary responsibility which is to provide leadership for Nigeria that is geared towards maintaining law and order and ensuring the peace and economic progress of Nigeria and Nigerians. I thank everyone and group that has so far endorsed me and this administration and say to you that your endorsement strengthens and inspires me to keep on serving Nigeria to the best of my abilities so help me God. Politics › Why Ribadu Fell Out With Jonathan by Firefire(op): 11:29am On Aug 28, 2010
Why Ribadu fell out with Jonathan

, Ribadu wanted National Security Adviser, (NSA)

, Jonathan offered Adviser on Anti-Corruption and Good Governance

Goodluck Jonathan
Fresh facts have emerged as to why ex EFCC boss, Nuhu Ribadu, fell out with President Goodluck Jonathan shortly after the former returned from self imposed exile in the United States.

When Jonathan visited the United States, he met privately with Ribadu, where he prevailed on the ex anti-corruption boss to return home and play an important role in his administration.

Pointblanknews.com sources disclosed that Jonathan had two positions in mind for Ribadu, either Special Adviser on Anti-Corruption and Good Governance or Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Considering the hitherto goodwill he enjoyed both home and abroad, and the propaganda machine of Ribadu which peddled his alleged persecution by the late Umaru Yar’Adua administration, Jonathan decided to give Ribadu a soft landing. He ensured the non declaration of asset charge was dropped; he was reinstated by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), while the allegations of misappropriation of convicts funds, and assets while he was EFFC boss were downplayed.

Nuhu Ribadu
Pointblanknews.com learnt that on arrival, Ribadu had another meeting with the President were the President reiterated the need for Ribadu to work with him. But sources close to the Presidency and Ribadu, told Pointblanknews.com that he rejected the offer.

According to our sources, to the chagrin of Jonathan, Ribadu said he wanted Gen. Aliyu Gusau fired and he be made National Security Adviser (NSA), or at worst he be made the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Jonathan, it was learnt, bluntly refused; maintaining that there was no way he (Ribadu) could be made NSA, or INEC chairman. Our source hinted that he told Ribadu that he was not experienced enough in security matters to hold the office of NSA, considering the fact that he was an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), before his rapid promotion to Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG).

On the INEC job, Pointblanknews.com sources said, the President told him, he had penciled down three names, with Prof. Attahiru Jega on top of that list. However, there was pressure for the President to make someone in the academia, INEC boss, so the he settled for Jega.

Pointblanknews.com sources disclosed further that when Ribadu couldn’t get the NSA or INEC job, he decided to dump Jonathan and the PDP and seek relevance elsewhere. So when some emissaries of the Action Congress of Nigeria (CAN), came he was willing to listen.

Said our source “Ribadu is considered to be ungrateful to the President. When the President came to the US, he met with him and assured him he would be part of his administration. So when he came back, the federal government ensured all those baggage like the declaration of asset charge, and the trouble he had with the police were taken care of. The President had wanted him to be Senior Special Adviser, Anti corruption, or INEC boss, but the INEC thing did not work because of pressure to pick someone from the academia. Ribadu rejected the Anti corruption offer and insisted on either the NSA job or INEC boss.”

Our source said further “So when the president would not bulge, Ribadu decided to move somewhere else. He started talking with the ACN which was looking for candidates for their Presidential slot from the north.

According to our source, El-Rufai felt out with Ribadu because there was an agreement between them that they should work with Jonathan, and ensure they play visible roles in his administration after 2011, or support him (Rufai) for presidency.

The duo has now reconciled.

But first sign of trouble came when Ribadu set up the Good Governance Group,(GGG), and words filtered to Rufai that his pal was insisting on the INEC or NSA job or nothing. Rufai was also miffed by the fact that that Ribadu was using the GGG to negotiate with the ACN to run as its presidential candidate.

Shortly after, Rufai took swipes at Ribadu, tagging him inexperienced to run for Presidency.

All efforts to get Ribadu’s reaction failed but one of his aides, Chido Onumah was nuanced in his reaction. Asked if his boss wanted the job of NSA, Onumah, in a telephone conversation said “ I know some of the issues, and I have my take on them, but I will want him (Ribadu) to personally react to them.”
