RE: Honestly it's insane how much money men have spent on me (even though I never ever asked for it and I'm always more than happy to pay for my own things). I would never spend money on a person I barely know, even if i am romantically interested in them.

I guess the obvious answer is because they expect something in return (usually sex) but I've noticed they sometimes continue doing it even if I i tell them I'm not interested.
