Maryjane001: I hardly regret it if I turn down a guy. My reasons being : - Not ready for any relationship. - Peace of mind. - Not being an independent lady. - Scared of heartbreaks and time wasters. - I don't go into relationships for fun or all that. I take my time and if I get into a relationship, we must have laid down plans and defined rules with the possibility of getting married in the nearest time. Relationship is a serious issue for me. Not your regular girl. - Maybe the guy doesn't meet my expectations or the kind of person I would love to have as a husband. Yes...I just said that. To the guys I v rejected, no hard feelings but i 'm quite picky and won't necessarily waste my time being in a non-productive relationship. At the bolded, it shows you have regretted even if it was 1 in 10 If God could say it in scripture that he regretted created man how much less ordinary mortal |

blackboy: Girls have no regrets in turning down a guy or not giving a guy your number. Be it he makes it big or not. What will be yours will be yours. Many girls have had their lives messed up cause they cannot say no or resist giving a guy their number. 18 or 25 or 30, dont be pressured. Im married to a lady who told me no at first. When i got to know her better i understood. Kwontiue giving them your number like radio station or emergency service . Guys will just use you to shine or shine you and call you cheap or a LovePeddler. Kwontinue keep saying yes and turn yourself to pass around. Oga blackboy! I knew a friend who went extra mile to cross to other religion and practised that religion for several months and after opened pant, he disapeared like thin air. My wife , she accepted my proposal without a single stress, she visited my exact time and day I asked her to come, I deliberately not doing any sort of romance the first day, if I tried, I would have succeeded, today we are together years and smooth marriage at least to be fair to myself NB, she was 25 then not because age not on her side o |

dammyllare: Well, from my personal experience... There was this friend I had then when I was in higher institution. She really likes me and sent my friend who they school together about her feelings for me, I wasn't really into her but I wanted to see if friendship could grow into what she wished. Lo and behold, I asked the girl out and she formed for 3wks and within that 3wks,my dream girl whom I was chasing for 6months said yes . I moved on and she called when she saw my picture and the lady saying she was sorry and doesn't want to appear cheap. Asked if there could ever be a chance for us to be back and kept fighting. She came around during service year even after she had done introduction... As I wan knack her, she asked that I promised to leave my fiancé for her as condition and I asked what about her intro, babe said she would cancel it.... Mehn, fear women o. I quickly packed my Thomas and we slept on the same bed for 3days,girl couldn't imagine a guy like me existed. Las Las she married the guy, I married my woman and we are both doing very fine. Till this day she still wanted a night with me but mehn I won't truncate my booming future.
Girls see me now and think waoh, he is made, young and doing well... But if I had asked you out some 3yrs ago, would you see this growth?
Guys, forget girls and focus on making money cos woman na another bill in naija... Focus! I always says on many occasions women cause marriages failure far more than men do. If not because of rare type you be, that girl would have destroyed her marriage, provided she won't in nearest future, and when it happens, she claims a victim card as usual. She has settled for man she doesn't love, with this, small mistake from husband ,she would multiply it and make it big issue ( most especially if she is seeing another man she loves outside) until the husband tires, probably resulting to beating, meanwhile those who don't understand remote causes of disaffection will put all blames on husband. |

Tinatones001: Hello romancelanders, I'm actually a ghost reader on romance section and i never knew a day would come where i would be asking for a possible solution to a relationship problem.
A close friend of mine is on a brink of a failed relationship. Ok this is what happened, she called me last night lamenting on the phone and told me she can't continue her relationship reasons because her fiance was too authoritative and a commanding person. My friend isn't ready to tolerate that kind of a man in marriage even after 3years they have been dating she believes that such behaviour is a red flag that can't be ignored. She has talked to him about this behaviour of his numerous times but it seems he is not willing to change. I am just worried for my friend because they have come a long way and they have even done introduction. But i think only her knows where the shoes hurts because i have adviced her to be patient and not to announce her decision to his fiance. Please i need candid advice i don't mind showing her different takes here, anything just to help my friend save her relationship. If such guy is good, financially capable to finance marriage and a disciplined man, even if he is authoritarian as you claimed, I will advice you your friend to hold on to him tightly, let ur friend adjusts to make the relationship workable, such men are the best husbands for women. Ofcourse for a wife who wants to enjoy and last in her marriage. The guy might be a disciplined man but for ur friend to misinterprete him as a dictator. ........ guy who said he don't want his wife to move with particular group of persons in other not to corrupt her. ........man who told his wife not to stay outside beyond 7pm ........guy who instructs his fiancee not to have male bestie. .......husband who tells her woman to be caution enough on frivolous spendings. (aso-ebi) etc. When a guy portraits these attributes, they are not dictorial tendencies but disiplined on his part to make his marriage workable, but to many ladies they mis-interprete it to wickedness and authoritatively most especially wayward and uncultured girls. |

[quote author=Jupoc post=102592950]My dear. I am handling several of such relationships I counsel her to run as fast as a cheetah. Such men never improve or better their weakness. Never. It only deteriorates. Singleness is better than accepting such men in relationships. Better don't counsel her to be patient. When right persons come, out of love they'll always strive to be better and there won't be pressure or tension. Funke Akindele and JJC is your prime example as against her earlier relationships.
Did you know if because Funke has learnt her lesson to be submissive that's why the latter marriage is working now?
How did you know that the first man is a dictator? Are marriages failures cause by dictatorial tendencies alone?
Relationship fails because of so many reasons on the part of both partners.
Money. Non companionship. Cultural differences . Indiscipline from both sides. Lack of understanding among others. |

Missyajoke: Greatest where To you he might be great and to God he might be nothing. Have you ever prayed to God to reveal to you who TB Joshua his?? Guess no and here you are saying he his the greatest. Greatness is measured by the number of Souls you won to Christ's Kingdom. You think because he is philanthropist doesn't mean he's the greatest.
Nonsense post from a church goer, most of you just go to Church without knowing God's word. Question is simple, who do you think is greatest? Meanwhile where did you read that greatest is measured by winning souls alone? Who told you tb Joshua wasnt won thosand of souls when he was alive? Oga, Jesus was able to win souls during his earthly ministry owing to miracles signs and wonders he perfomed, Jesus himself attested to it that.......without signs and wonder you(people) won't beliv son of God . Its very easy, very very easy to preach for someone to stop sins (win soul), but sins can only be easily left (soul winning) when one is delivered from bondage/yoke of Satan. Oga you should stop leaving in self denial, TB Joshua did almost exactly what Jesus did in his earthly ministry. I have never seen or heard any human being (dead or alive) that did or doing 1/2 of what he did in his life time. I stand to be corrected. If you keep on listen to Pharisee and sadducee who are comderming him out of jealousy, sorry is ur name. |

I would have still went to school if I started my football career to fulfill all righteousness. What I'm saying is that, I have passion for football and want to live life and make money through sports related stuffs. I didn't have a love for civil engineering that he pushed me into. If I was sent to football academy, I would have had more chances in life because I will still be a graduate but not as a civil engineer he wished. I'm advising u to always know ur child's passion and follow it up. When he start making money, he can get a certificate anywhere. Just an advice in another way round, you could as well not going to school then, went for football and came out with nothing, by now to go forward will be difficult abd to go back to school will also be a daunting task as well. for you to have civil engineering certificate is good, you can get good job any moment and leave a normally life, ur dad gave you the best as good father, it's only that thing not go as expected. |

Everyone must not be a lawyer or engineer. What if my dad sent me to a football academy and allow me and my destiny to decide my fate. I'm happy now because he realised it lately that he should have supported me. I own 3 shops now and doing well and I'm planning to go into sports fully, maybe become a football analyst. You can't cheat destiny. maybe you dnt know that world celebrated Kante is an accountant too, he became accountant even before he was known all over the world as footballer, you should blame urself for not going to sch and not ur dad, as it's today in poor country like naija, every right thinking dad would want his child to go to sch. why? it's still much more easier to be successful through education than football, you ask urself, how many of Nigerian oringin, home grown o, that desired to be footballer during their teenage years that are successful later in life as footballers? I can bet it with 1 of 500. |
