wowwww !!!! This is wonderful. Celebration here and there. Congrats guys. Next month is my month as i await ECA. God willing, i will dive in comfortable with my 470 and ITA will locate me by force. My moniker must be heard in the new thread. ITA must rain on us. Congrats to everyone. It's a huge celebration.

Make i ask my own foolish question oooo:

So far i have an idea of what is required.. atleast i have my ielts score, my document has been sent to WES for evaluation and my CRS is 470.
Now i believe the next step is once my evaluation has been concluded, i will fill my Express Entry (EE) profile and then wait for ITA (invitation to apply). If invited, i will have to tender relevant documents within 90days i guess such as introduction letter by my employer, bank documents and possibly LOE and gift deed if applicable, PCC for Nigeria and UK, medical report etc
Now my question:
1. I intend using 100% gift deed from my dad, hope it will be accepted? For gift deed i believe he will give me a letter which i will notarize with bank statement showing transfer and also mine showing transfer.
Apart from transferring money to my account in form of gift deed, what else can be shown? Can i use his pension account statement?
More inputs please.
Na this POF aspect wey i never understand.
So smslive2, Newmum0615, sunvick and co.mk una add voice

Yes, it’s been known to happen. Personally, 100% of my POF was from a gift deed. Wish you a successful application.
Thanks EngrKen8. Personally i haven't work since January i returned from my study and i am hoping to use a 100% gift deed. The last time i worked was in 2016 before i left for the UK for my masters. In such scenario what do u suggest, guys?

Good evening progresive people. I want to know if PEI accepts Gift deeds as POF. I also want to know if POFcan be 100% gift. Thanks for your anticipated response
i have always thought of this. Please gurus in the house, can POF be 100% gift deed?

You do not need your salary account statement. Your employer may/may not state that you were paid in cash.

Once you get the bank letter in CIC format, you do not need to show bank statement (except there is a big discrepancy between average and current balance that you want to explain).
Hey happytbaby just sent you a pm please

3rd IETLS for Hubby LRWS: 8.5,6.5,6.0,7.0
Disappointed
I can't be the PA cos of Bsc.
I'm thinking PNP PNP PNP...........
Please be strong Ma'am. Mine was so frustrating especially when i had a seemingly good score: LRWS: 7.5, 7.5, 8.0, 8.5. I got so excited until i came across this forum and the bombshell fell when i realised that despite my Masters degree, my CRS waa stilk at 412. I didnt understand what that meant until some guys explained that i needed to have atleast 8.0 in listening. Couldnt believe coughing out 68k again. Well to cut the story short, i put in more effort and aced d test and today i am smiling with a CRS of 470.
In a nutshell, ask your hubby to identify his weakness(es) and give it his best shot. Trust me u guys will get there.
All the best.

Oga relax and pray to get your ECA done in record time. Abi is the HST you need to complete your POFhuh
Sunvick, i guess i did not request for your response. If all you could do was to give a shady response, then there was no need replying. I wonder why people derive pleasure in just shading one another. That i requested for info regarding HST doesn't mean i dont know what i am doing.

If you do not live in Canada, and you request them to do so, WES will refund the HST portion of your payment.
Tojued, i just paid for the evaluation this week, guess i can ask for the refund or do i have to wait until after evaluation?

No its not, I requested for mine about two weeks after i made payment. Just mention that since you do not live in Canada, you are aware that you are not required to pay HST and you are therefore requesting a refund. You will get a response from them.
Newbeecey ans Tojued, you mean WES will refund tax to us from the 233CAD we paid for evaluation? Please someone should explain ooo cos my eye dey red for money at the moment.

In my own opinion, you all should not blame him/her. If you had not taken time to read up, wouldn’t u had believed their junk NEWS? People should know it’s best to read, by doing that, no one can sell you a dummy. I was a silent reader with zero know-how until I read up without bugging people...today, I’m done with WES, submitted my EE all alone, wanted to go for PNP but don’t have 1,500 to dash them and jejely in the pool, I even guide several people.

While it’s good to ask for direction or guidance, reading is the best teacher and it helps a lot. @palconcierge, may God bless your hustle but please desist from misrepresentation or dishing out fake info.

Regards.
You are so right. I had to take time to read but the truth is there is still room for clarification though.

Hey guys, i am here again. My question might sound funny but please bear with me. I am picking up though. Just about to complete WES application but need a few clarifications:

1. I will be evaluating my MSc result as indicated on my
application. As indicated that the required document
is my transcript, is there anywhere on the form that i
need to include that a copy of certificate will be sent
or i should just send both?
2. Please for those that chose standard delivery, how
long did it take to receive the report Nigeria or the
PDF report will be enough.
Your mild response please. Abeg make una no cut my head oo. Na small small until we get there.

Good morning,

Please I have a question about the WES application.

When I was trying to fill the form for IRCC (immigration refugees and citizenship), it asked me address for delivery? Is it my address or which one do I include.

In general how does the verification process work in terms of WES and Canadian Immigration. Thanks
This should be where you will like the report to be delivered to. Thats all

Hi everyone,

So I have been part of the 95% silent readers but I just had to come out and say a very big I APPRECIATE YOU to @glitteringstar cuz your constant updates have been amazing. Also, everyone else that has pitched in one way or the other.... on behalf of the SRAN (silent readers association of Nairaland)... we are grateful.

A colleague had mentioned this migration stuff and I had started this yr and did ECA for both Bsc and Msc (was not aware of the highest cert stuff) and while looking for WES' timeline on google, I found this page and I am glad I did. Immediately contacted WES to remove the Bsc as the thing was just wasting my time (verification and extra money wahala) seeing as Msc has been accepted since. ECA is due to be completed next week thanks to you guys.

I had also seen the multiple links to IELTS materials on Page 0 and is now a proud owner of a TRF with scores of LRSW 9988..... all thanks to this forum.

I have not filled the EE profile yet but I already have the templates for bank, pension and MMF letter. I already know in detail what to expect at the medicals, PCC and how to get it is all down. With the wealth of info obtained here, its a case of ITA today and AOR within 3 days. I even have the checklist of things to submit when PPR mail comes sef and how to raise complaints. Mehn..... you guys are awesome.

I had come in to do catchup on my famous Pg 0 cuz its been a while and had seen the link to Living in Canada. Followed the link and saw that the same babe @GLITTERINGSTAR had also crossed over to that side and made my life a whole lot easier. She had summarised and put links to every possible concern a person can have and I was like.... "Who be this babe shocked??... Even if I am paid to do the work, God knows I can never be as detailed as she was/is". I just had to say something abeg. You are just awesome and Thank you very much. You may not hear it often from people like me that never say anything but you are helping ALOT.

Patiently waiting for ECA to join the process with CRS 481. However, I have a concern. I have not been able to see any comment relating to it. Can someone fail medical exams from BMI alonehuh Perfect health and all but my BMI is in the Obese range ( late 30s).

Keep up the goodwork guys.... you people are awesomeeee cool cool
I must be honest, i am not just impressed but motivated. Personally i started from the previous thread but got tired along the line cos of busy schedule. I guess i will go back and read through and indeed grab the key areas of this EE stuff.
Atleast, i have an idea of what the process involves. If i am right, get your ielts score which is key...of which i have gotten LRSW of 8.0, 7.0, 7.5, 7.5. Thereafter, calculate CRS to know if you meet up the score that will enable get into the pool. I did that with my highest qualification which is my Masters and have a CRS score of 470 which is a good score. ECA is another part which i now understand, of which i will evaluate my Masters result with WES, and thereafter after evaluation report is out i will then fill up my EE profile and wait for ITA.
At this point, i will do more work by reading more, researching more, learning somuch about the acronyms of some of the words. Thanks guys, i believe i will also come here to testify.

Good morning my good fellas, am new in this forum and I have taken time to read through the trend and its been very helpful and informative.

However Pls my good fellas I have some questions some proper clarification as regarding my case for the Express Entry :

1) I have a both my BSc and masters degree from Nigerian University (uniben), however I concluded my masters degree with 6 months paid internship with SPDC, will that count for a work experience? I because the internship was part of my MSc program.

2) is it compulsory that your work experience must be directly related to what you study in school because in my case I studied Geology and Petroleum Geosciences in my BSc and MSc respectively and I am working currently as a GIS (Geographic information System) specialist in a friend's family company which is in NOC class B

3) Because I work in a friend's family company, I don't have a fixed salary as I am been given honorarium (most times as cash directly given to me) periodically depending on the company's returns and as such my
bank statement do not carry things like monthly salary, nothing like tax or pension. My question is can I use such statements of accounts although I have the need
fund gifted to me already by a family friend.

Pls friends I need proper clarification on this questions as am about to officially starts the process.
Bro, i am in similar shoe oooo

Hello sir, the bolded isn't true.
In addition, you are at liberty to choose which element(s) of parameters you wish to claim points for, where you have multiple valid ones. Be it for employment, education or language proficiency. For this purpose however, if I were you, I'd go with the masters for the reasons you stated - higher CRS score and short response time. Forget what your friend said, it's "misrepresentation" wink
Thanks mcstan18. So invariably i should just go ahead with just the MSc result. Thanks.

Guys, please pardon me if i am taking you backwards. Please bear with me. I am a bit confused with which result to evaluate with WES. I got a Masters from UK last year and i have my certificate. I have not worked since then. I only worked after my undergraduate. With my Masters i will have a CRS of 470 and with my BSc and PGD i will have a CRS of 463. Please kindly advice on which i can evaluate. Evaluating just my Masters will be really smooth as my school will respond swiftly.
Please i need your humble response.
N/B: I am confused because a friend told me if i use Masters then work experience has to be one i have done after i finished Masters. Dont know how true.
Please gurus in the house, please guide me. Just want to clear the doubt so i can evaluate and get into the pool. Thanks

It doesn't matter, even if you finished your Msc yesterday..Evaluate it only and it will be faster since you obtained it in the UK.

For work experience, you need at least one year so its fine
@ sthillz , for the work experience i haven't worked since i finished my masters. Just returned. I only worked after my undergraduate. So in essence, you mean i can just evaluate the masters only and then use the work experience post-undergraduate
