LordReed: It is obvious you are just regurgitating information you heard in passing. Soft tissues in dinosaur remains has nothing to do with the accuracy of carbon dating. I guess the awe of the find is messing with your intuition, not to worry even the scientists were careful not to take it for granted too. Your radio-isotope dating as well as your geological scale are meaningless and pathetic academic exercise. I won't accept such ruuuuubisssssh. There's no such thing as precambrian, paleozoic (Cambrian, carbonaceous, sirulian), mesozoic (triassic, jurassic, Cretaceous) and Cenozoic eras. I can't accept assumptions based on no concrete frame of reference. You see, I typed all those from my head. I didn't need to consult Google. Maybe you need me to state the major events of each era.. |

Commentor: Unlike religion that tries to assume it knows, science acknowledges it doesn't.
It depends on pragmatism and tests whilst religion is dogmatic and often unflinching.
Would religion accept for instance that a certain Noah couldn't have taken all creatures great and small in an ark ? Religion is smarter. Noah took in land animals. Annelids, certain of insecta, Pisces, protists, monerans and so on can survive under crevices, or inside the soil, or in water. |

LordReed: Look at who is talking about reading. You who thinks carbon dating is the only dating method because that's all you've ever heard about.
And what has finding soft tissue in dinosaur bones got to do with carbon dating? Lemme guess, you think they used carbon dating to estimate the age of the remains.
Talk about not reading. SMH Haha. I thought you would tell me why a soft tissue should be found in remains you claim existed in the mesozoic era (about 225 mya) would still contain a soft tissue. Well, maybe all you know are the different types of isotope dating there are. Don't Google it. Type from your head. Haha. |

LordReed: Says who? Carbon dating is for specific time periods there are other dating methods for longer time periods. You people don't read. BTW, I'm still amazed that soft tissue could be found in so called jurassic remains. |
Science/Technology › Re: Canadian Farmer Discovers New Tyrannosaur Species, One Of The Oldest Kind Ever by flamingREED(m): 6:19pm On Feb 11, 2020 |
sissyevy: You don’t use carbon dating in things that existed millions of years ago.. wat we use here in geology is radio active dating. And yes those animals are hundreds of million years old All such datings are as good as hypotheses. That's how a soft tissue was found in a so called dinosaur remains. |
Science/Technology › Re: Canadian Farmer Discovers New Tyrannosaur Species, One Of The Oldest Kind Ever by flamingREED(m): 6:05pm On Feb 11, 2020 |
Carbon dating is unreliable. That's the biggest problem.
Those animals may not be more than 3000 years old. |

Rather than weakening the nation's employment capacity, the government should see how to put the unqualified teachers in line by hasting and subsidising 'on the job' grooming, training or schooling for them, especially, for those who're passionate among them. |

Education › Re: What Makes A Door Shake When Another Is Opened Or Closed? by flamingREED(m): 11:06am On Nov 13, 2019 |
KosiGee: Sound waves have nothing to do with that phenomenon. It’s actually pressure change in the room that causes it. Use the syringe as an example, when it’s drawn, (plunger pulled) the pressure in the syringe drops or reduces and fluid rushes in but when it’s pushed in, ( plunger pushed in) the pressure increases and there’s an impact on the opposite end...content of the syringe is compressed and fluid rushes out or if you place your finger tip on the nozzle (opening), you’ll fill air pushing on your finger...
Back to the room using the syringe analogy. Direction of the door opening affects pressure change and whether the opposite door will swing open or shut so imagine the room or space to be some sort of vacuum. When the door is opened outwards(away from the room) the pressure drops...sucking on the air particles and opposite door closes( like drawing a syringe)
Likewise, opening the door inwards, increases pressure in the room and forces (the compressed particles) outwards. This either forces the opposite door to open or rattle on the hinges and door frame if it’s closed already.
Apologies for any typo. Both air pressure and the vibration of building particles are involved. |

CeterisXVII: I don't know how many women's trousers you have seen, but women's trousers are NOT badly stained on the underside, except if that woman is not a clean person.
The same way trousers can get stained if the person is not careful about the cleanliness of their garments, is the same way skirts and dresses can also get stained, in the same manner.
Women can wear trousers and most of them wear it very well. You can always use a long top, to cover the backside if you feel uncomfortable.
"To the pure, all things are pure," like the scriptures say. So free your mind from such archaic ideologies. You're not important in God's scheme of things. You don't have the Holy Spirit either. Worry more about an asteroid that's hitting the earth's orbit this December. It can wipe out that entire modern city where you live. |

I actually kept my distance from her, the first day, she slept in the bedroom, while I in the living room. I fell to some cheap plays, and she cornered me. I'm seriously regretting my actions.
This is a girl that have been praying with me(and for me) before I sleep or go to work the next day. I shouldn't have do this to her. It seems that I can't live with the guilt, neither do I wanna loose her.
Her friend is already ignored, both off and on-line. Write a letter of the deepest regret. Tell her you're walking away in shame, that you're not worthy of her. Tell her the steps you're taking to release her to a more deserving hypothetical man. This is the only way to lose her with the minimum guilt. Make no excuses. She may think it hard and later grant you a second chance. She never may. But to keep it a secret is not a thing you can live with unless you become a reprobate. |

CeterisXVII: At the time that instruction was given in the old testament, men were wearing robes and not trousers. Show me where it is written in the Bible that 'trousers are men's wear. Just spell out the chapter and verse.
The same Bible talks about offering burnt sacrifices. Do you as a Christian still offer burnt sacrifices today?
Thank you for enlightening the clueless ones, my sister.
Abi, o! So you sef don see am... I just told her and you too should know that Deaut. 22:5 isn't about oblations and sacrifices; It's about lifestyle. BTW, have you noticed that a woman's trousers are badly stained on the underside? For that and some other reasons, it is clear that women are not cut out for trousers. I pity laundry men. safarigirl: And what do you think pertains to a man? What did the Bible say pertains to a man? Did thw Bible state that trousers pertains to a man? Did you see trousers anywhere in the Bible? Or are you adding your own beliefs to the Bible?
Please, quote a specific Bible verse, that mentions that trousers pertain to a man and skirts to a woman. Were the men of old not wearing robes? Is a robe not a dress? Will you say the Scottish man should not wear the traditional outfit of skirts because it pertains to a woman?
Where in the Bible, did you see anything about skirts and trousers?
This is 2019, you better come up with a better argument than this stale thing from 1905 I'm really ashamed because you have plainly faulted the prudence/discernment God delegated to man. The idea that God must state everything a man should know or associate with can only exist among those who have lost the sheen of God's image in man. But in order to drag you from impending 2019 hell in case you died this year, that scripture is not about sacrifices; it is about LIFESTYLE or morality. |

They can take it up in court if they so wish, they aren't the first extremists to be removed from camp and they surely won't be the last.
