WebmastersRe: Female Bloggers! Let's Meet, Unite And Connect by fleps(m): 9:26am On Jan 09, 2016
Wow! Nice thread.

I'm thrilled when I see female bloggers so their stuff even if they're just starting out. I've helped out some female bloggers in the past and I'm glad that they're doing fine.

Here's my suggestion for y'all female bloggers

Connect with each other not just by bookmarking but on Facebook, Instagram (una like pictures eh) Twitter and most especially on WhatsApp (please no drop your number here o!) The social media platforms will help in a way that you guys share/retweet whatsoever updates you see your fellow female blogger have of her blog and the WhatsApp will help you guys encourage each other, help each other and give advice to each other. Make it a viable group with love and unity. Once in a while, invite really experienced ladies (or even guys) to come teach you girls something you really want to learn and you can later remove the Teacher when S/he is done.

I run www.acegoals.com amongst other blogs and I've worked on designs for my female blogger friends e.g www.eclecticstyle.me and others.

I can help any lady here for free (no strings attached). Just to encourage real female bloggers who are NICHE based. I've been blogging since 2010 and I'm very conversant with WordPress, Blogger and Joomla (Drupal's on the way)

Anyway. Keep it real ladies and inspire others via your blog. Be the 'Radio Rebel' of your niche... wink

During my chat with one of their customer care agent, he/she told me I have to own a Reseller account with them which will be opened when I pay the sum of 100usd. I asked him/her if I will be credited after paying that amount or will I pay another amount to get credited, I got this message as a Reply This cost is for reseller system after that you can recharge your account to send Sms according to your need you can recharge your account Please help.
This system is a pure reseller system. They buy the domain name of your choice for you and host you. They'll just give you username and password to the admin back end to control it.

Now this is not ideal if you truly want to make good profit from the business. Sites like smslive247, do it. But like I said sometime ago, all your clients may become theirs whenever you decide to leave or change provider, else you're stuck with them and have no much choice.

The best thing to do is to design a website yourself (or get someone to do it for you), and get the SPC component. Integrate it and get an API. Tell the website you already have a platform that u just need an API. With that you are only required to buy credits.

LONGFELLOW02:
Okay. . Won't they ban it if i buy?
No sir. You will never be banned. Guys who sell AdSense (Well, let me use myself as example) get these AdSense approved with real blogs where original content posts have been written and the website meets the guidelines of Adsense. For example, you open a new blog, write articles and then apply for AdSense which is a normal process. Me as well, open NEW BLOGS, write ORIGINAL ARTICLES, APPLY with each of them, get approved LEGALLY, then sell to those who may not be able to get approved by transferring ownership of the AdSense Account to the email of whosoever wants to buy

The catch here is the KNOWLEDGE (I have a thread stating all the steps already). I know what it takes to prepare a website for google adsense. Also involved is HARDWORK. I spend time to write original articles since copy and paste articles on a website can never get approved. I spend money to buy domain and host, spend time to write the articles (45 - 50 300 Words articles) and then apply and wait to get approved.

The thing is almost every body wants to go into the entertainment niche and because you cannot write articles there (at least 300 words. Wetin u wan write sef, no be only picture and 10 words?) you may have to buy Adsense to use. Even those that have niche websites may not have the time to write the whole articles and may need Adsense to use immediately.

For me, I would advise you have your blog and apply. Go through the hardwork and time. But if you can not, I can sell to you and you will never get ban because I get them approved the legal way and only have to transfer the account ownership to you once payment is made.

Please be warned! There are scammers everywhere. On Nairaland, one of the measures (NOT SURE PROOF) of knowing scammers is if they just registered (e.g 1, 2, 3 months back or even 3-7 days back) and they immediately want to sell something or want to buy something.

ikihealthplus:
So they have verified and unverified adsense?,,dunno abt dat
No sir. Adsense is adsense. Google verifies your AdSense account if you've had up to $10. They want to make sure you are from the country you claim to be from. That is why US Adsense is harder to verify but easier to get with high CTR and CPC. Also it takes some time before Google's PIN gets to you in Nigeria.

Bro the article you read wasn't copied nor stolen.
And what tells you that the informations are wrong?
Okay. Sorry sir for the wrong accusations. Probably you read from somewhere and rewrote without having firsthand experience or you have only approved only one or two AdSense accounts.

I have approved accounts upon accounts and I have helped many in getting their approval... AGE OF DOMAIN does not matter. PAGEVIEWS must not be 5k monthly. These are not true and are seen on foreign blogs. IT IS INDIA AND SOME ASIAN COUNTRIES that must have domain age up to six months. THIS IS NEVER SO FOR NIGERIA as your post claims

Bro same here o! Most of the things here are wrong info. The OP probably copied it from somewhere and edited some of it to suit the Nigerian context. This should not be on front page because over 50% info is wrong.

I think the mod for Webmasters is not well informed enough to know this or even experienced enough with Adsense.

I have more than 40 original contents on my blog, But I can't apply for adsense yet.. I have to for 3 months before I can apply.. Or is there a way instead of waiting for 6months
That is not true. You do not have to wait. Apply immediately. Except if you have a ..com
WebmastersRe: 10 Things You Must Have And Do Before Applying For Adsense by fleps(m):
I disagree with up to 50% of what the OP has highlighted.

But lemme analyze it.

1) Original Content

That is very true. In fact it is the number one thing to be considered here. I approved my first AdSense with 50 original posts

2) Page views

I totally disagree with this!!! 5,000 page views monthly? Common. This story of 5k views is what you will normally see on popular blogs writing about this topic. Within two months, I got my first AdSense approved with a meagre traffic. I recently got another approved yesterday and I finished designing the blog last year December still with 100 to 400 views weekly.

3) Load Time

I agree with this as well but not in full. You just need a good site that loads well and not so perfect.

4) Domain Age

Error! For sites it will take some time. For .com sites, you can apply immediately so long you have your content. The total AdSense accounts I have now were not gotten after waiting 6 months each. Original content is key.

5) I agree with basic pages like about us, terms and conditions but what's 'our rules'? Na betting website? Insated have Contact Page, Privacy Policy...

6) From 6 to the end are not important but necessary especially 3rd party ads and images.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: My Interview Experience by fleps(m):
Nihilist:
HR really isn't about managing people regardless of what you read in books, or at uni.

The real purpose of the HR department is to reduce or eliminate Employer Liabiity.

Quite frankly, HR only exists to try and prevent the Organisation from getting sued by it's Employees.

Truthfully, it has very little to do with managing people
I was actually looking out for answers like this (but not the suing part as the only reason of existence). I had to read (for once) to the end of the comments in search of it.

Since the Director has smashed the Idea of HR being about just managing people, then it is better to take another angle to it. And this is the angle I always love to take:

HR is not just about managing people. HR is MORE!!! Here's a good look at it... The REVENUE angle (which all managers so much love). HR is growing the company's Human Capital and making it more productive. It is discovering the RIGHT TALENT that can take a company to the next level. It is leveraging on skills (hard skills dominantly), talent, behaviour, potential to produce the best results and increase revenue for the company.

Now the way you can achieve the above is now by managing people; going through the hiring, sourcing, selecting bla bla bla process and having an excellent knowledge of what the law says, devising policies, interfacing between firm and employees.

Most times we answer questions using the bridge technique. I'm not saying the OP is wrong. No. The OP is right. Very right. But it takes experience to have in-depth knowledge and understanding of the concept. The Director must have probably heard from so many people before you the same thing about the conventional HR definition.

I personally call it the bridge technique because it is what will take you to the main thing. It's like asking 'What is the capital of Lagos' and you say 'The capital of Lagos is taking Oshodi, after which you 'drop' at toll gate then take a bus from 7up to the capital city, Ikeja.'

Here's a simple and more comprehensive way. The capital of Lagos is Ikeja but to get there from your location involves taking Oshodi to Berger then to 7up...

I work with a firm that's into recruitment and very revenue driven. Maybe that's why I have such idea of HR. I do not work with HR or have I ever worked with HR (but I'm seriously and enthusiastically searching for such opportunity). I only did a Training in HR and have keenly watched the HR Manager and Analyst where I work going about their work and from every of their action, I learnt a lot (I learn a lot from people from afar and that's typical of me)

HR is bla bla bla (as I understand it and have explained above) and the way to achieve that is going through the managing and normal conventional HR definition process. That's an approach I would have taken if my normal idea of HR has been smashed and more is required of me)

Anyway, I run www.acegoals.com and I try to help job applicants/recruiters with my over 2 years Recruitment experience.

(Pls ignore typo, if any, I typed with a phone)

Career3 Sharp Ways To Achieve Your Career Goals In 2016 by fleps(op): 7:03pm On Dec 30, 2015
Wait! Let me guess… You’re planning for 2016, right? Or you are just being merry without giving it a thought? Well, I get it. It’s the holidays and it is needed. I’m celebrating too.

2016 is almost here and the resolutions and goals will start rolling in. But permit me to tell you this:

You don’t need new year resolutions!

They’re simply traditions that do not amount to something great after 2 to 3 months. And they’re for those you need to get over a struggle. A research at the University of Scranton suggests that only 8% of people achieve their New Year resolutions and goals. What you need is to plan your goals beforehand; relevant goals that can be achieved.
You do not have to wait till January 1st before you set your goals. Most people fail at goal-setting and consequently fail at achieving their goals because the foundation of such goals isn’t even right. After the Christmas celebrations, spend the remaining days of the year planning your goals. Here are the 3 Sharp ways you can set and achieve your goals in 2016.

Make it SMART
Your goals should be S=Specific M=Measurable A=Action-Oriented R=Relevant T=Time-Bound.

Be specific; do not have a generic goal like ‘I plan to be better next year’ but at what? It’s better to say ‘I plan to be better at cooking/being a father/mathematics/public speaking/playing the keyboard etc
Make it Measurable. How do you know you have achieved success or you are failing at it. Having a goal like ‘I plan to be good and make people love me’ may not really cut it. How can you measure the love (or hatred) of ‘people’ for you?
Also, make sure your goals are Relevant and Time-Bound and packaged with some action. Give yourself a timeline e.g ‘Before the middle of January, I plan to shoot my first movie’. Let it be relevant to something e.g your career and make it actionable (what you will do to achieve it)

Make it Simple
The simpler, the better. Experts are of the opinion that people use the New Year opportunity to list a huge number of goals forgetting that other priorities will rise along the way. Keep it simple. It is more sensible to start small and set attainable goals but visualize the larger picture, the bigger dream.

Always Visualize and Believe it
Never loose your dreams or yourself in the euphoria of successes that will come your way in the new year. Have your goals written down and always believe it even when you fail at first attempt. A mental picture of what you want, where you’re going, what you want to achieve and even what you do not want to come your way keeps you on track especially when people who do not believe in you talk you down!
Failing to plan is the first step at planning to fail. You succeed: people will be happy and celebrate with you. You fail: it is all your fault and nobody will care to know what you went through that made you fail. It’s your decision.

Make those goals of yours SMART, Simple and give it a Mental Face.

Happy New Year in Advance!

ifywise:
I hosted my site on godaddy and right now the site is not accepting any Nigerian bank ATM MasterCard to renew or purchase new domains.

I thought the restrictions will start first of January next year. Why now?

Gurus in the house advice me wat will I do now?
Dear, first of all DO NOT LISTEN to any of the domain transfer opportunists.

Second you can still pay for hosting with PayPal. If you have one, you are in luck, if not, maybe open one before this year runs out. Connect a bank account to it by verifying with your card details. That way, you can pay to any host.

Third, you can get a Neteller account should in case your PayPal account cannot connect to your card and use Neteller to connect and pay.

OR... that is if you do not mind. I can do the payment for you. You give me a pass into your host provider account and I make the payment using my payment (PayPal) details (after you must have deposited the equvailent plus the extra gateway charges). Then you change your account password of your host provider account and we are done
