I think the first question that should be asked is "What's your URL?"

Google may be seeing something that you're not seeing and that others who will take a look at your website may detect (with PC view) upon this complaint

Interesting revelations!

The front page idea is a good idea. It is a forum and its uniqueness is that it has a front page. The front page helps to give you the 'important' stuffs at a glance. For example during hot era in Nigeria like Election, Protest or Political unrest, what I do is just logon to Nairaland and check the front page to get latest. This is better than going to the sections to look for news because spammers (like someone said) would have pushed it down and with spread and most times even to page 2. But the front page is longer and it takes days for topics to enter next page.

Seun here's what I'd advice:
Election is coming and Christmas is here. More people will be more engaged with the internet for news and good stuffs. Let your mods be ready for pushing those good and interesting stuffs to the front page and people will be engaged and will surely return.

As for the Alexa thing, I'm tempted to believe that more sites are rising with their traffic OR some coding has been done and it is responsible for it.
My website from about 1,900 (Nigeria) fell into 2,000 and then 2,500 and then 2,900. I added H1 tag to the header of my website and I fell more to 3,000 and then 3677. It kept falling. Then I removed the tags and worked on traffic (I advertised my articles on Facebook and shared them on LinkedIn) and now I'm 2,500 and I hope to improve daily.

Concerning the webmaster section thingy, the mods are working, but they need to work more. Some threads need to be closed the second it is opened E.G A thread reads "Learn how To Code WordPress bla bla" you open it and what do you see? just two words "contact me" so annoying!

Keep the good work on. One thing I'm sure of, Nairaland rules the land...!

WebHostingPal, this is the message I've been preaching but peeps here seem to think they can do it alone trying to be like Linda, cloning websites here and there and opening threads upon threads asking others to review my website, review my website. Daily I Shake My Head because almost everyone here wants the 'now now' benefit of what they are doing.

Try and take a survey of all the websites people drop here and you'll notice its one of these three types of websites:

FORUM (seun)
ENTERTAINMENT (linda)
TECH (jide)

Any other webmaster here that has something different should be commended because that shows a research into passion before paying for that website

Nigerians are intelligent and intellectual. We are as well creative. But sometimes we are not wise enough to know that forming partnerships and putting heads together is one of the first steps to finding something purposeful that can fetch profit on the long run and whip up commitment into the future that'll make them proud of what they must have achieved after several years.

Seun is not doing it alone and could not do it alone (I learnt at one time he had to pay people to post); Linda has a personal assistant that possibly source for stories for her and as well do a draft post for her to just finish up with pics and in her tone; Jide as well has guest bloggers who supplement what he does and I'm sure some writers help him post as well (I may be wrong).

But where does all these takes us?

Just recycling the wannabe orbit because no one will understand what work those guys have put into what they have today until they're ready to put as much work and coming together to creatively create something.

Pretty long list. Jide I really admire your work as a blogger. You're sure a role model for many others. Keep it up...

Please why do you want to sell. I've always admired your website and used it as a guideline in optimising my websites. Why do you want to sell?

go by example. a lot of gaming sites depend on ads and if you can google 'game cheats' and the first few links give you sites that have adsense, that means it is a go.

A lot of the same gaming site did not get AdSense approved with the gaming site. They simply got approved with a better site and pasted their codes on the new website. That's the same thing lots n lots of people are doing today. That's why you can see websites with extensively copied content running AdSense.

1) Okay bro, don't rush. Believe me after you get approved, your next frustration will be getting people to click ads and that can really be frustrating.

2) I was the one that asked you to wait extra one month and that's the ideal thing to do because Google is smart and would not be too quick to think you've implemented what they asked within two days

3) I do not need your login ID and password. You just have to add me to your blog as an author and I'll do the rest. But first WAIT FOR ONE MONTH

4) Below are two screen shots of how to show Ads to increase chances of getting approved ( I tried it) and how you can add someone to access your back end of website (which I'll advise you do AFTER ONE MONTH and you're still not approved when you re-apply

I advise you gun for non hosted so that you can use it for other websites you may have. You don't plan on staying on ..com all through or for you?

Yes! G.AdSense pays as high as that depending on your page CTR. Even for a start, its higher than $0.12 a click on Konga's advert can give you as high as $0.19 if you're just activating AdSense. Then it grows as you grow.

In simple sentence, you can use hosted accounts only on websites like ..com, YouTube, Hub pages but never on any other .com website. But for non hosted accounts, you can use it on even 100 websites.

Well, what you believe is what you perceive! Yes! I will co-found a startup but not for the reason of being a co-founder but to have something personal that I can derive freedom and fulfilment from. I was approved by adsense 3days ago, after i added it to my script, it totally made my site too slow and does'nt even load on my own phone, but fast on my web version, because of that i was force to suspend the adsense for the main time.

pls help me, what shud i do to make my mobile view fast with adsense.

Pls note that i am not talking of adsense for mobile, i mean adsense.

It's better you make use of a plugin. It will handle the loading of the script. Are you on blogger or WordPress?

Actually OP, is this your website or just a copied image form the internet?
