Ontarget:Apart from the CV thingy, I think more premium services will still spring up. There's one thing the interview said though. The guy said "companies rely on them". Abeg when them start? Which company be that? Bottom Line: They are building a HUGE database of candidates' profile |
Okay. I think they're doing a great job as well. But I've subscribed to Acegoals CV writing series because I think the chap is experienced in CV writing and consistent. HERE'S THE TRUTH! You cannot learn CV writing in just one article. There are so many things involved. Except you want it for the moment. But if truly you want to be good at CV writing and as well write for people, you need to know each part in detail. Acegoals treats each part of the CV weekly. Believe me by the time he's done with the series, more than half of his audience should be good CV writers. You can follow Jarus Hub too if you need practical career advice. He's really good with that Here's the first 3 CV series articles www.acegoals.com/?s=Sample+CV+series |

it is possible |
Good job!!! God bless the Nigerian Soldiers and GEJ BUT Many have died because GEJ did nothing for years. So something like this would have been done but was not done and many have died... many!!! God bless the families of the soldiers who lost their lives just because they were ill equipped for years. |
That's dangerous inside a human being's body |
![]() This is strategy!!! Buhari interacting with the international community; Osibanjo, working at home to interact with the Nigerian grassroot/local community This team is being Presidential already... Abeg where is SAMBO ?? |
KingIU:Lol. You are right though. There was this case where I work, the guy has body odour but we dint just know how to tell him. So we talked to one mature brother in the Lord, not in our dept. to talk to him. He did and it paid off (at least for some time) The thing is, if they don't know, tell them or get a friend of the person concerned to do it. |
One of the worst things concerning hygiene that one can go through is having body odour or living with someone that has such. It is more embarrassing when you know a colleague at work has it and does not know or simply does nothing about it or makes use of the wrong perfume/deodorant/bathing soap etc. I'm sure some peeps here would agree that, apart from the fact that some of these things are natural, some also develop from carelessness, laziness, and lack of good hygiene. Some days ago someone posted on Facebook that fat girls do smell. It was argued and argued until I decided to turn off notifications and unfollow it. I was tired of the constant phone beep. Now for the benefit of all and some who are faced with such problems and some who will search on Google to get here and some who have successfully found a way of fighting off this challenge, I will like us to give best hygiene practices, best deodorant to use (and possibly price) and best way to fight this off! Let me kick off with mine Bath twice a day (before and after work) Use an antibacterial soap not toilet soap (because its for the toilet not your body) Wear clean and IRONED cloths Don't sleep on dirty rug or mattress without a clean bed sheet Always shave (especially your armpit) Wear clean undies and boxes and when you wash, dry them where the sun will really hit the bacteria and kill them USE GOOD DEODORANT that will last all day and not one that will give a pungent odour when you sweat in the hot afternoon Some really affordable ones I used off some months back are Black King, Malizia (or something) Active Man etc... I'm sure others have really good ones and tips to share. I'll also suggest you follow some health blogs like Cliniconomy & Lilian Nwobu Blog (both by nairalanders, let's promote our own!) Good morning. Experiences, tips and opinion please... |
Stuntz. We all know this na stuntz for the elections. Nevertheless, I want APC for Lagos!!! I wish Jimi was the APC candidate!!! He's just in the wrong party. |
WENGERNOMICS:I have thought of the quoted once. I think for now it is a way to reason out. The truth is that the management know that I cannot lie. There are some activities (Dance Parties etc) even in the firm that everyone know me for who I am and know I will not involve. |
barbiegirl4luv:Suicide mission! |
MissIndependent:Hmmm! It is not just if he/she don't allow, it may even result in one's removal or close marking. |
jnrprof:Wow! That is favour! To be granted the grace to choose your own interview time. |
I read with passion the last thread on the various excuses given in order to attend job interviews in another coy and I wondered what kind of excuse a Christian could give to honour interview invites. Please I need opinions and experiences from Christians (or Muslims) who consider and see lying as sin and cannot for any reason (even a Shell interview) compromise their faith. Last year I have had to turn down two invites because I had no means of honouring it. I applied for one and I was poached for the other. Though I did not reschedule the later because I didn't want it. But in scenarios like these, what should a faithful Christian do? |
Please do go to church. It helps in refreshing your spirit and even if u read your bible at more, you get more exposed and a better ministration from the word of knowledge preached. |
It is said that you should always ‘look before you leap’. Overlooking important parts of job descriptions before applying for jobs is one of the reasons job applicants are not shortlisted for interviews. Their CVs are literally screened out and most times they do not even qualify for the job. Below are 5 important parts of job descriptions that you should not overlook. Minimum Qualification The minimum qualification in job descriptions may be academic or professional and most times both. If its academic it means that if you don’t have at least the qualification stated, do not apply. If its professional, it could be that you must have a certification or you be registered with a professional association. If you do not meet it, you will not get it, simple. Minimum Experience This is one of the most important things to look for as well before you apply for a job. Its necessary that you understand the experience needed for a job. For example, ‘work experience’ is different from ‘relevant work experience’ or ‘cognate work experience’. Just ‘work experience’ means you should have worked in any firm or industry or at least have an experience working while ‘relevant or cognate work experience’ means you must have been in that position in another organization before you can apply. Some recruiters/employers and applicants alike do not get this right and just ‘work experience’ means ‘relevant work experience’ to them. Keywords This is one of the reasons the CVs of potential candidates get delisted and shelved aside from the pool of CVs that comes in for a job position. Job adverts have keywords which most recruiters use in sorting out the right CVs. These keywords are identifiable in job adverts and descriptions. For example a job may require that the candidate be able to speak the French language, or should have a MBBS qualification or a NYSC certification. Now ‘MBBS’, ‘French’, ‘NYSC’ will be the major keywords employers will use to filter out CVs if they are en masse. So make sure you edit your CV to suit that purpose and the JD Limitations Always watch for limitations in job descriptions. It is very important because it serves as a road block to many applicants and saves them the worry of expectations. Always look out for limitations like minimum years of age and gender. This is quite important because your CV is going nowhere if these limitations are not in your favour. If they are, make sure you include it in your CV. Deadlines It is of no use sending your CV to an email address specified in an expired job advert. In fact the employer or HR person may consider such person unserious and may never take a look at the CV at all. So look out for the deadlines of job advertisements before you apply for that job. So there you have it; the 5 Things to Look Out for in Job Descriptions before you apply. Do you have more contributions or any question? Let's discuss! Shollay20, have you reapplied yet? |
picknstake:Well according to the last message you sent to me purportedly to be from them, it says "Insufficient Content". So I want to ask? Have you been through the first stage before (the one that requires you paste blank ads) I notice that one of your pages is empty. Please fill it up. Yes Google don't accept gaming site, but the message of 'insufficient content' is hope and let's keep it alive since the message was not about AdSense Policies. One of the reasons for non-approval is that your content is actually insufficient. The posts are just words/letters, no articles or paragraphs or sentences... Fill up the blank page and post more. Let's say 20 to 30 more articles then reapply. |
Austin234:Hello, that's the same thing I told you when you called. Google will not verify a bulk SMS website because of content. Google loves blogs because of fresh content almost everyday and that is what google is for... information! Even if you placed Adsense on that website, you will have little or zero returns or clicks in a year because nothing will want to make me go back to the website for new information or story or tutorial or news etc because it is just a bulk sms website. Please search the web, how many bulk sms websites do you see running adsense? |
Seun:Yes Seun. The changes are good but may not account to up to 60% of what's wrong. You see on the other thread I said my site was going up and now to 3500 from 2000. But today after implementing an advice you gave to Jarus in one other thread (Content is King. Advertise your content instead of your website because when you have good content, people will have to go through your website to get and read the content) Today I'm 1,927. I share my articles on LinkedIn where I know more of the users will be interested to read and probably have Alexa toolbar installed. If by any case I rank more than Nairaland tomorrow, I will never say it is traffic thingy. Where I work, something was done. The Alexa toolbar was installed on the computer of every old, new, and even incoming employees. Let all mods install the tool bar and if there's a way to ask or plead with nairalanders to enable or install the toolbar you can do it or you can develop a Nairaland toolbar and integrate Alexa into it. Good luck. |
