And all of a sudden

It doesn't matter that someone condemned the attack of the military on Bokoharam

It doesn't matter that someone described an attack on Bokoharam as an attack on the north

It doesn't matter that someone urged muslims to vote only muslims in a secullar country like Nigeria

It doesn't matter that someone committed to the spread of sharia across the country (the feasibility is a diff topic)

It doesn't matter that someone instigated the death of over 1000 Nigerians just because he lost an election in 2011

It doesn't matter that someone enacted retroactive laws to deal with a select set of people

It doesn't matter anymore that someone ended democracy with the barrel of a gun to assume office

Does it really not matter anymore..... Time shall tell.

We might have just killed morality and damned our sensibilities to the HOPE of a better Nigeria.

And please don't tell me he is my president for the next 4 or 8 Years cos I know that already and that is not the thrust of my thought process.

In sane societies, these would matter. Even if he wins such elections, he would be approached with so much consciousness and carefulness but not with all open arms because the words of a man defines a man and people hardly change.

Just before you scream Sai Baba..... Something must be wrong with the black race.

Politics › Re: Comparing The Achievements Of President Gej & Former President Obj by Flets:
Very childish analysis

You judge based on how many hours of light you have in your house I guess... Which is an illiterate way to do that.

How many more appliances have you purchased since 2007? Calculate the increase in power utilization in your street from 2007 first.

OBJ spent $16BN and when he left office we had capacity to generate 1200MW; GEJ spent much less while privatizing PHCN and we have capacity for generating over 4000MW. None of the both are outstanding but GEJ towers OBJ

Under OBJ, elections were mere formalities as results are available before the election day. GEJ handed over democracy to the people through the ballots even when he was vulnerable. That is why Nigerians actually think they now have a voice

Under OBJ, everything was under intense secrecy with massive corruption prevalent across board but he never signed the FOI bill. GEJ signed the bill in his first days in office and now everycorrupt act is blown with a magnifying glass because we all know

OBJ increased pump price of fuel every year and scarcity prevailed through out his tenure especially festive seasons. GEJ only attempted removal of subsidy which led to the only increase and of which we are all begging to remove today...... But for a good part of his five years, we had constant supply of fuel including festive periods. The only scarcity prevalent under GEJ are just in his last months and driven by the games being played by the marketers.

If not that Nigerians have short memories, the diff between GEJ and OBJ are worlds apart.

All of a sudden APC has become the champions of subsidy removal after conniving with the petroleum marketers to stage the occupy protest.

Now they have used poor ignorant Nigerians to wangle their way into govt and now they cannot wait to fix the refineries as they suggested back then..... They want to outrightly take it out.

Guess who was fooled afterwards?

Buhari once said there was no subsidy, so what do they intend to remove if there was no subsidy?

David west said there was no subsidy and that PMS will see for 40 naira per litre under APC...... Which subsidy is Saraki then referring to?

Nigeria's problem is not the corrupt leadership but rather the ignorant and illiterate followership aided by the crude mob mentality. Otherwise, we would have been asking the right questions

Politics › Re: IBB Worries Over Nigeria's Situation by Flets:
Lets face it, without the support of a greater percentage of Nigerian people ..... no government can succeed.

A critical analysis of the Nigerian situation should get every concerned patriot disturbed. Unfortunately, Nigerians hardly think beyond their noses.

Oil marketers held a nation to ransom, Nigerians never besieged the marketers depot but rather turned against the govt trying to salvage the situation.

Terrorists attacked our nation, and we turned against the govt and the army while tacitly hailing the escapades of a terror group.

When the west refused to sell us arms to fight terrorism, we hailed the US and blamed our government

When the state governors pocketed allocations and couldn't pay salaries, we let the governors off the hook and turn around to blame the FG

At the peak of scarcity, NUPENG, PENGASSAN went on strike . Labour unions threatened to join as well against the government still letting the real culprits (oil marketers) off the hook.

I think we don't know who the true enemies are.
We seem to be patriotic to our regions alone and not to the common Nigerian front.

Now the real issue is this. ..... just because we lost gas supply and the nation is already in darkness. The drop in crude proces gave rise to salaries being owned across the country.

APC didn't know when to stop campaign after the elections. The outgoing government have been called all sorts of names forgetting that the outgoing govt had 12milliion voters who supported them. 10% or less of that population could hold the country back for the next four years. Bokoharam members are less than 1% of that population yet they held a nation to ransom.

Buhari cannot afford not to get the support of the SS. He has totally disregarded his in-road to that region which is the outgoing president and has allowed his party members grow an apathy with that region with the help of Amaechi.

If any form of violence erupts in the SS under Buhari, even if we mobilize the entire military to the creeks..... say bye to electric power, revenue generation, allocation, salaries and economic growth. Anarchy, inflation and suffering shall follow swiftly. This is because the IOCs cannot continue to produce oil and gas in a volatile region... they will shut in and leave tge fields.

The events of the past few days have shown how vulnerable we are as a country....... and no amount of online noise can douse reality.

Buhari have been given invincible attributes and called omnipotent names....... but reality is coming in few days. He has his work cut out for him but one thing that must not happen is crises in the Niger Delta because that would be the last straw.

However, the final solution to our collective troubles is regional governance and fiscal federalism.

Shallow quotes wont get a response.

They've called GEJ clueless today, they will call Buhari senile tomorrow.... Yet they cannot simply analyze what the problems are much more proffering solutions.

Ask them why there is fuel scarcity... They tell you current FG has failed
Ask them why they have no job ..... They tell you FG has failed
Ask why their states can't pay salaries..... They tell you FG has failed
Ask them why we import refined products... They tell you FG has failed
Ask them what the solution is.... They tell you Sai Baba
Ask them what Sai Baba should do.... They tell you he has all the solutions

Nigerians stood by GEJ on terrorism, GEJ on his part admitted to have underestimated BH.

On oil marketers, GEJ wasn't in charge at any point, so the marketers took him for a ride and had a filled day.

Niger Delta is free to decide what is good for her, but if she takes the law into her hands, she should be prepare for the music.

When the gas pipelines start exploding, the government of the day should be able to rise to the occasion.

On investors, the last time I checked the naira gained value against the dollar as GMB was declared winner in the polls.

APC you claimed heated the polity but PDP was silent and did nothing to inform the people.

Let the creek warm up, I expect GMB to listen to the yearnings and aspirations of the Niger Delta people with a view to proffering a lasting solution.

Let truth be told, a war to outgoing government is inevitable, they have squandered this nation, the majority of Nigerians are living in abject poverty and squalor.

Yes, Nigerians were warned and they came out en masse to save the nation from an imminent collapse using their ballots.

We are learning the hard way.

We supported the oil marketers against GEJ...... Today we are paying dearly and now begging for subsidy removal

We joined the enemies of Nigeria to castigate the GEJ led FG in the fight against terrorism just to give him a bad name...... now GEJ's people are already withdrawing gas supply to the gas turbines and as such no power

If the crude lines ever start exploding. ..... then shall the true anarchy set in as the economy is already heading down south driven by low crude price alone.

Interesting days ahead. Without the support of the SS/ SE, Buhari cannot do anything. Infact the nation will be crumbled before he attempts.

Unfortunately the lifeline he had in GEJ to reach out to his people have been damned by the negative publicity trailing the transition and driven by the APC noise house.

Nigerians have started reaping the fruit of their decision. When Nigerians were being fed propaganda from the stables of APC and without supporting the then govt........ they forgot that Nigeria is a wrongly structured country.

If only Nigerians stood behind GEJ on terrorism and against these oil marketers. ... it would have been a different story today.

Unfortunately the Nigerdelta is keen on reciprocating the same unsupportive gesture to Buhari like the north did to GEJ.

Gas pipelines have been exploding in the ND and power generation has dropped from 4000+MW to 1300MW..... who suffers the scarcity?

Just for fall in crude prices, salaries cannot be paid. If the crude pipelines start exploding. .. then shall the reality hit Nigerians.

Because of the APC noise on the incoming government, oil marketers have refused import of products for fear of uncertainty by incoming govt....... who suffers the scarcity?

Investors have withdrawn their capital for fear of uncertainty in the incoming govt and driven by the APC noise post election further driving up exchange rates..... guess who suffers increase in price of goods?

Heating up the polity like APC does not help either Nigerians nor the incoming govt. The creek is warming up...... thanks to the noise from the incoming government.

As a matter of urgency, APC must stop the noise and Buhari desperately needs to stop acting like he's bringing a war to the outgoing govt.

Unfortunately the future looks bleak but Nigerians were warned anyway. Only regional system of government can save Nigeria otherwise watch Nigeria crumble before our very eyes.
