So after spending time in the UK you still write this type of tautological grammar

The proper word is Lend, when you're giving out you're Lending hence the proper grammar should be " Lent them almost 10K..."

Someone asked for advice about something that has given her and her family heartache but instead of rendering advice, you stated marking English lang. Pele oo Mr. Brighter grammar. grin

So after you have spent some time in the UK you haven't seen that most immigrants don't even understand English? The Europeans or Asians speak their language mostly and still, they rate them pass you. Africans love yourself so that the world can love you. If I were you I would apologise. This is not an IELTS class.

So an immigrant shouldn't have an opinion? Why are you all pretending ? Most people paying £10k to get a care COS from Nigeria, if they qualify for Canada PR they won't be paying such outrageous sum to come to the UK to do care.
Over 80% of Nigerians that migrated from Nigeria to the UK on skilled worker visa came through the heathcare worker route.

So when I said many Nigerian that rushed to the UK won't qualify for Canadian student or PR route I stand by it 100%.

I've met many that have been denied either Canada or US student visa b4 trying the UK.

Stop the hypocrisy and check the Nigerians among you, mostly those working in care sector, how many of them have the education (not including any MSc obtained in the UK) , skillset, experience and age to secure the top CRS point for Canada PR route ?

I know we have some very brilliant and talented Nigerians in the UK, so I try not to generalize.

The keywords in my post is Many not majority and rush (you can't rush to Canada; it's simply impossible).

Your point does not still hold water. Whatever means people use to japa is no one's business. Some people migrated via sea and sought asylum when they arrived, and most of them are doing very well afterward.

You need to take heart and take a painkiller because more people are coming into the UK, no be you get uk. If you think they are low-skilled people, then you can relocate to another planet because their employers are not complaining. It is only bad belle people like you who are in severe pain because you don't want to see any other person succeed except yourself.

That your cousin wey you dey oppress for naija, wey you refused to show d way , is coming this December! grin O yah vex again!!

Canada let in the brightest and most talented people through the PR scheme, many of the people that rushed to the UK will not even be eligible to enter Canada either through student route or the PR route you mentioned.

I don't know why this argument always boils down to comparing UK immigration policies with other countries like Canada and Australia. Each country is unique and will do what they think it's best for their country. If you don't like it then move to Canada or Australia (But then again most people can't because they won't meet the criteria)

The truth remains that why the UK had good intentions but people and immigrants alike abused the system which then makes it unsustainable and they have to restrategise.

People selling COS
People having fake marriages to bring in dependents
Student coming to UK without any means of paying tuition
People rushing on Student visa without any intention of studying and abandoning their studies for carework

These are the issues that is causing the problems.

grin grin grin Just imagine that line from an immigrant! Some of you will be worse than Suella if you manage to get to the decision-making table in the UK or whatever country you migrated to. I have said here before that some people are not just happy to see their fellow Nigerians migrating like them because they want to keep on oppressing those they left at home. but God passed them. Immigration issue na season film: when one series ends, another go start so no cause for alarm.

Should be your starting point and not the destination and upskilling for better jobs remains the point

Yes, at the same time, we should not forget that someone may develop a genuine passion for a care job, and that doesn't make them less of a human. Let everyone choose their final destination, and let us respect their wishes.

One of the reasons we have issues back home is that we all just want to oppress ourselves; we want to be better than our neighbors. That's why some people believe that Nigeria's problem is not just a leadership problem but a mentality problem. I have seen people oppress themselves based on the kind of visa they hold.

There's dignity in labour here , lets not look down on anyone . If care job is your starting point , fine and good , if its banking job , fine and good.

One beautiful thing about this place is that we all end up in the same market, we can drive same kind of cars and can live same neigbourhood. On like working in lekki and living in ikorodu.

Lets help each other, God used someone i met at factory job to get IT job using my spouse care work sponsorship, so let embrace the moment we may find ourself then upskill and aim higher.

Peace.!

I can understand how you feel about the delay (it happens at times). I think on a norms, the turn around time for in-country tier 2 visa applications take about 8 weeks since you already complained, you need to give them 20 working days to respond. I am sure they will respond, don't be tempted to complain again as every new complain wipes out the initial one and the 20 working days start counting again.

UPDATE !!!!!!

Glory be to God Almighty. I am excited to share that the email finally dropped not long ago. Thank you to everyone who contributed. Only good news is permitted in our lives. Love always!

Your case is very touching.

Did your wife switch to tier 2 after your course completion date as stated on your CAS?

Please, check your course end date on your CAS and confirm you all attempted to switch to tier 2 after the date.

Yes, we applied to switch to a Tier 2 visa after the course completion date on my CAS. I contacted my university visa advice office and was told my studentship has no connection with my spouse-dependent visa application and that the home office has already been informed that I have completed my program. I know someone with a similar issue; I believe it is a backlog issue. I want to wait until Friday; if nothing happens, I will contact my MP as someone suggested here.

Last year I had similar situation, I sent a mail to the MP for my district. I expressed how the delay has affected me and my family. I told her the delay had made living difficult for us.

Just google the MP for your district and contact him/her via mail. It worked for lot of people last year. I got my visa response in less than 1week after I contacted her. This is after waiting for I believe over 4months or 5.

Thank you so much. I think this is the only option left on the table for me. I will pursue this.

Dear people of God ,

Please,I need your input on how to contact the Home Office for an application within the UK on my situation.

My family and I applied to switch to a Tier 2 visa since August. My wife, who is the main applicant, got her visa early in October, while i and the children's visas are still not yet out. This is the 11th week of these applications. i am really worried because our Tier 4 had already expired in late October.

I have successfully completed my MSc, and i am supposed to start working full time now, but this delay is not helping as most of the work i demanding my share code.

I have called the HO, they only told me to send mail to the complaint, which I did two weeks ago. Still no feedback yet. This is really frustrating; what else can i do to address this? Has anyone experienced this before? I need the best advice, please. I am tired of checking my email.

critically examine the job prospect . If the job has a good prospect then its okay. Though this can be made in just two weeks in the UK but with hard labor. Also your children has a better future in the UK than naija. honestly its depends, ask God for direction.

If you don't work in Care then you should not generalize it that is not needed. so that people will not be misled.

Regex:

Then one should avoid it. Primary care do request for it, guess what I didn't work for them. I never did that police report thing and I'm never going to.
Travel / Re: Nigerian Students Studying Abroad, Travelers To Pay ₦40,000 For Police Clearance by florixi: 8:23am On Jul 19, 2022
some jobs ike care and support actually request for this even though they will still do DBS. So if you can do it just do it.

Regex:
Truth is, this is not needed at all. Na Nigerians deh give this government opportunity to feel important. Tell me why I should do police check when I will also be checked in the country I am going to? Tell me why I should do Nigerian police check when it is not even valued here UK. You need a job, do DBS.

The way your wrote this even shows arrogant in you. You admitted the work was delay, don't you think company's customer has been disappointed by the job you delayed? You don't want insult bro?? please be your own boss , good luck.

SalisuJasper:
Its feels bad when you have try your best for a particular company and all you get are insult and talking down on you.

i have been working with this company for 9month and i have always try to make things right but both the ceo and manager talk to me like i have been doing nothing.

Just because a job was delayed due to the pressure i am facing and i was insulted and the ceo asked them to delay my payment for another month.

I have to take my leave immediately because honestly i am fed up with the insults.

I pray God do it again, amen

Tell your paymaster, to start paying people promptly if you want them to start attending PPA. 4 MONTHS STIPEND not yet paid and you want them to continue work. you people wicked o.

ezenwaez:
If you are an Npower Batch C volunteer and you always skip your PPA especially Npower volunteers posted to primary school, please you need to have a rethink, always endeavour to seek for permission from your supervisor or your principal should you not be available.
Absenteeism might cause your Npower stipend to be placed on hold, an the N-Power volunteer subsequently exited from the Npower program, most times the district office normally request for absentees from the principal, and once the principal submits the list of absentees to the district office, the Npower volunteer's name will be submitted from the district to the Ministry and the focal person will remove the Npower volunteers name from the payment list.
This situation is not a very good experience, you see Npower volunteers going to the ministry to seek for the focal person to reverse the changes and this might cost you a lot of your resources and time, so in order to avoid stories that are not for the faint hearted, just adhere to the instructions set by the Npower program concerning work ethics and work discipline.

Contact CBN for what nau??
Was it CBN account you paid to??
Let them track that payment from that bank if it hit the right account. You can go to that branch and request to see their branch Head. Insist on not leaving till they call their TRADE DEPARTMENT.
This isn't fair.

Please urgently advise me on to go about this; I use e-FORM A to pay my 50% school fees in December. I sent mail to school on Jan 6th when I did not see the money reflecting on my university portal and attached the telex, school confirmed they've not received the money that I should contact my bank. I went to UBA branch I used, they said I should contact CBN, though i already sent mail to CBN yesterday and put a call through they did not pick their calls.

How fast can I get this resolved, I suppose to travel next week and the money must reflect on the school account latest by Friday this week so that I can complete my enrolment.

I need urgent advice pls.
