Hello mamas, went for ANC today o, doctor checked me and said baby weight is 3.8kg and am just 37 weeks. Now he is saying based on my height he wants to TRY and see if I can have normal delivery but will be on standby for CS, now hubby does not think there is a point going thru painful labor and still ending up in CS and wants to opt for elective CS, me am just confused... HELP

Rukemi, ur gist is very interesting, thank God for evrything, i don dey use style collect d baton o, may God make all d rest of us have sweet stories, o how I wish i get a female doctor, the thought of a man putting hand therr dey make me shiver per second but i go just close eye and try not to think about it.... beauty January is closer than u know o, its in 2 weeks time so get resdy....
God will take care of the new born ....

My dear husband is so anxious to see LO that he has put d bag in d car already. My EDDI is Jan 5 but scan keeps giving us Xmas day as delivery date. The menstrual like cramps come and go and are more in d night. What am praying against is this impending strike by doctors. God will help us

That's the best thing dear, I used to always imagine labor that I started telling hubby I wanted elective CS but now I have told God to let His will be done... as long as me and LO are fine no wahala. I don't think of labor anymore . The people that have gone thru it no get 7 heads....

Rukemi u predicament really is not funny @ all, if u were to travel abroad to deliver na so dem go rush u to come back? These rules should b bent once in a while, d annoying part sorry to say is that u guys are still to fund d ceremony even though the same tradition says d 'uncle' is to do d funding he should look for d money by all means na... Anyway just keep a watchful eye on ur LO d Lord is ur strength...

@all, I started feeling nauseous and threw up a couple of times since last week, is this normal cos I'm 31 weeks gone. I also get tired quickly these days, I pray to God for strength o.

Dear I can undastand d tiredness, my LO kicks all night so I find it difficult to sleep and when I do my full bladder wakes me up, so in d end am so tired in d day... As for the throwing up its normal but let ur doc know about tho...
@ kaf cakes my actual EDD is first week in Jan but am hoping for a december baby so I feel u, but let's keep praying for God's time...

Udoka Ingot d ellectric one for 11k its also tomme tippie, expressing milk will also let your hubby have d plwasure of feeding his baby, plus u can get ur rest while someone else feeds d baby.
Pretty trust i have 4 diff EDDs the scan guy says its based on my baby size and weight, but am trusting God for His perfect time whilst hoping d baby comes at 38 weeks
or max 40 weeks i dont want 42 weeks....

@ Kheti don't worry I feel u, I wake up in d morning and it look like am just 4 or 5 months opregnant by dinner time my tummy is looking like I am already 40 weeks,
Gen Buhari please just keep praying, ur wife will b fine thank God she is already seeking medical attention, as long as the Cervical Os is closed ur LO is doing ok, but ur wife has to really calm down so dat her BP can go down, we are with u in prayers

Nice 14 u really need to calm down as anxiety is not gonna help, talk to anoda doctor if u don't feel convinced, but most of all take ur feet off the ground and try eat well lots of fruits and veggies, don't worry ur LO is here to stay, we all get paranoid in dis pregnancy, for me I worry my tummy is too big other days I worry d tummy is small, amongst others, but God dey and He will see us thru

@all, abeg i dont have as much vaginak discharge as all d preg books i dey read say i shouldnhave at 28wks, hope there is no problem cos pple say one should b having sooo much discharge but i just have little

Dear request for it o, iwent for ANC at 25 weeks and complained to d doctor dat i had not been given, he shouted and was mad at d nurses, they kept apologising, am due for anoda antimalari next week, u need to take it at east 2ce during pregnancy, doctors normally give fansidar...

baybiemee: Thank u so much dear, mine was at FMC, now am heavy with my second, due in January, still contemplating going there still. But I won't let that nurse come near me again if I decide to go there.

Yeah Humming bird relax, u have a loving hubby who has promised to stand by u and wonderful sistas here on dis thread to support just as u've been there for us... So what more can u ask for?
Just get enuf rest and don't b scared to ask for help from trusted family and friends whenever u need it...

Byvan ur story is really touching thank God u and LO are ok.... As for these nurses one needs to say a special prayer in advance for d kind of nurses that will b with u on ur day of delivery, the ones dat would encourage and not discourage and d ones that would b helpful and understanding... They act as if they r not women or have not gone thru d travails of childbirth... God dey sha
Humming bird how r u today, abeg just relax and take one day @ a time... No b angry @ ur hubby so he won't feel bad... The Lord is ur strength...

I am also a January mama and d wait is really killing me... Can't wait for december so I can start counting down
As for d kicks my dear sometimes I dey worry but my mom says as long as there is movement, turning, hiccup et al u are fine its when u don't feel ANYTHING at all that's when wahala dey, above all there is a limit to what we can do so we leave d rest in God's hand and pray that He finish d good work He started, its not easy o there r lots and lots of things we worrt about but God dey and it is well...

Tbaby4real: Hello beautiful mamas....... I am so happy today cos I have so many reasons to praise God. Today is our wedding anniversary and we have best gift ever.... We did our ultra sound today and was told we are expecting twins . Seriously I don't know what to say cos dh always pray for twins and here we have them in my womb. God you are worthy to be praise all time..... You are indeed my God.

Well I cant say, the braxton hicks is just a way ofnur cervix prepping for labor, like its doing its own exercise i dont think it determines if ur LO will come early o, but lets hope for d best... my own EDD is January 5 but am hoping for late december... but Gods time is d best...Cheers

Dear its Braxton Hicks o so fear not, some preggies xperience it as early as 28 weeks sef, just relax, butnlet ur doc kno w if it bcomes painful, the Lord is our strength...

@kaynee God is really wonderful... Congrats gal, u will carry to term IJN and deliver safely, wait till ur 8th week before u go for scan so dat they get ur LOs heartbeat... Just eat well and get a lot of rest... Congrats once again gal

@ beauty... Thank God I am not d only anxious one, I also had catarrh thru out yday with headache, just rested thruout and slept a lot, I feel a lot better abd stronger dis morning, so try and get some rest..

Thank God I am not d only January mother, my 40 weeks will elapse by 1st week in ;anuary but am sooooooo anxious to hold my baby, dat sometimes I wish LO will come by 38 weeks, but am trusting God to make all things beautiful in His time, d anxiety is there but am holding on and counting down,
