As a man, if you don't want to take care of yourself, na you sabi. The pressure and demands of the society are already stacked against us. Don't over do yourself all in the name of providing for your children and unborn kids. Be selfish and indulge yourself on things you like, that may likely prolong your life. Spend that money and get yourself quality fruits all the time, eat healthy, exercise, go out solely and enjoy yourself. Slow down and take it easy. If your body is not strong for any hustle, shelve it and regain your mojo and health before anything. Finally, if you don't have the means to cater for a family, don't marry yet, or better, postpone it till you are better prepared, financially. Financial stress and pressures have ruined many young men in their quest to meet up with the demands of the family. |
Thank God that I finally left the Lagos morning "madness" behind. I remember my days as a graduate trainee in one of the investment banks in VI in early 2000s, waking up around 4 am to rush and meet up with staff bus or else, you would enter Danfo with your suit. By the time you got to the office, you would be smelling of exhaust smoke/fumes and your well-polished black shoe would have accumulated different kind of dirt and the sole of the shoe, if care was not taken, might pick up shit/poo on the road. ![]() I envy my SE brothers - Monday is now the day to host town or street meetings, catch up with friends, do exercises and attend to that matter that you have been postponing. |
Nigerians and envy! Once we hear about uncomfortable news about Nigerians abroad, we rejoice because we want them to come and join us in the misery. We underestimate the impact the Nigerian diasoporans are having on Nigeria's economy. We ignore the many families, relatives and friends they are supporting back home, through their remittances that have continued to spur spending and money circulation. If not because of diaspora remittances, naira would have crumbled to N4k to a dollar. Imagine the resultant impact of that to the economy, which everyone would feel the impact. Let's all have broader perspective to issues affecting someone as it indirectly affect us as well |
Amaechi of all people! Yet, you stayed with Buhari for 8 years, creating one of the longest stretch of economic stagnation, not seen in decades. You and Buhari contributed to the current mess we are witnessing and the leader of your party then, who is now the current president, has taken off where your principal stopped, as he promised. You all are the same. My message to anyone is to try and make something out of the chaos we have and focus on your personal self development and career advancement. Priotise yourself and create something for yourself and your family and leave Nigerian politicians to keep fooling around. Taking Nigerian politicians and politics seriously will affect your mental health. Take care of yourself and keep making progress, not minding what the political class are dishing out to us. Above all, refrain from abusing people because of one politician that doesn't know about your existence or you feel has the magic wand to turnaround the fortunes of this country. They are the same.....the earlier you know this, the better for you. |
" It is a blunt indictment of government that failed to grow what it inherited, let alone transform it." I no know say this Bolaji Abdullahi sabi write. That line was epic!!! |
Poverty and greed are driving lots of young girls into prostitution, hook ups and relationship with idiots, just for material gains. I feel sorry for lots of young girls from poor backgrounds and broken homes. |
Tinubu may be reserving UNILAG or UI to be named after him He should have named the Transport University at Daura after Buhari instead of University of Maiduguri. Some iconic schools name should not be changed for posterity and historic purposes |
The last picture was probably when he was in the final state of his health. The end seemed near and he could feel it. I am sure he was seeing death at that time. |
Needed him most to be the rallying point for the CPC wing of ADC or what? ![]() I dont know why we like saying that people died at a time they were needed most. What happened when the person had the opportunity to effect changes within his society? Politicians are always praised once they died in Nigeria, with the usual phrase: "He died when the nation needed him most". |
The Indian State would still release the man. The BJP Party of the Indian Prime minister, Mordi, is not different from Pakistan. They all believed in "honor killing" and subjugation of women. A good Indian lawyer would free the father, through the Indian courts that have been anti women. Honor killing is an acceptable culture in both India and Pakistan |
Love800:It is still better than what we have at home if you are ready to start afresh |
Love800:Very common in UK. I experienced it again when I walked passed a night club. Two guys were outside, holding their drinks. Gradually, they started talking to me in a heavy Scottish accent that I couldn't hear but their pace of movement towards me started increasing, I bailed out, fast. |
This was how two white guys pursued me in UK when I came down from bus, on my way home from a night shift. Everywhere was lonely and late at night. We were few that came down from the bus. Some entered taxi to their homes and I decided to walk home since my house was close to the bus station. As I walked passed two guys holding cigarettes, I turned back and saw that they were looking at me and talking, gradually they started walking fast towards me. As I looked back again, their pace of movement towards my direction was increasing. My brother, i picked race and they pursued me. It was when they saw a bike coming towards us that they bolted away while the bike pursued them. Lots of deranged people are in UK |
Anambra men and doing things . The hustling spirit of the people is legendary. My village has become a mini city with state-of-the-art mansions springing up and down from upwardly mobile young men across the State, country and the world at large. |
chopnaira: , Which kind Zebrudaya English is this? "Decongestant" the port? |
Obi shouldn't have made that statement. It portrayed someone that is desperate. Scaling through the primaries that Atiku would likely be a contestant, would be his greatest huddle. The primaries may make or mar the coalition. |
Will they hear ? Some Obidients thinks that election and voting starts and ends within their cycle. Obi needs to understand how Nigeria's national politics works. He has to bend to be lifted. |
His lawyers' popularity and prestige would sky rocket. As a lawyer, once you win a high profile case for your client, you would feel invincible. ![]() |
I will say it again, If Atiku is not the presidential candidate of ADC, the opposition is just helping BAT to retain the presidency Obi cannot challenge BAT in a free for all contest. The real challenger to BAT is Atiku and APC knows that. Obi has lost lots of steam and momentum he had in 2023 except from his SE core base - His bases in SW, SS and North have all moved on. Atiku is still popular in the North and East - he may not be popular in SW because of BAT. How do you expect Obi to defeat Tinubu in NW and NE? I dont know how people do their permutation. Sentiments and emotions should not becloud people's way of judgment |
I doubt if it would end. The killings have been normalized and even the citizens do not show any empathy again. It is one of those things - that is how far we have descended as a country and citizens. Stories of killings in any part of the country do not move people any more. People are more likely to be moved to sorrow when they hear about death and shooting in US, Canada or Europe than in Nigeria. The death of Diego Costa touched lots of Nigerians but let the news of death of 300 Nigerians filters in, nobody moves - everyone is used to that kind of death |
PDP won't present any candidate for the presidential election. They would collapse their structure for Tinubu, under the guidance of Wike and Anyanwu |
It seems Keyamo wants ADC to give Obi the ticket so that APC would have an easy ride. The only pair from ADC to challenge BAT is Atiku - Obi ticket. Anything outside this would hand over power easily back to BAT. Obi should not over estimate his popularity over Atiku. Infact, Obi's popularity in SW and SS has dwindled compared to the level it was in 2023 |
I don't know why people are so excited about the coalition as if they had won the election. Its still a long battle ahead. The government is not sleeping. If Tinubu could muscle his way to power, despite all the challenges and obstacles on his way, how much more now that he is the President. Don't underestimate the power of the president of the federal Republic to manipulate national institutions to his advantage. Tinubu is not goodluck and he knows how to waggle his way. |
People that don't understand politics are here saying that the ticket should be given to Obi. Do you think that Obi has more electoral value than Atiku? Atiku stands the best of chances to be the party flag bearer. Obi should take a bow and deputise for Atiku. The Nigeria's Political system rewards those that have served and paid their dues. Obidients should not allow sentiments to becloud their sense of reasoning. |
Antoeni:Is he of any electoral value? Can he win any election or galvanised people within his locality towards a political cause? The only thing he may bring to the table is "Sahara reporters". If he joins, Sahara reporters may be sympathetic to ADC and would stop attacking ADC leaders, that's all |
I don't know why people are so excited about the coalition. PBAT is not sleeping. He has INEC with him. 2027 would be the worst presidential election in history. The silent rigging, violence and manipulation that would happen are still doing press up. |
Time to cash out. This Kachiukwu and the former chairman of ADC will cash out, big time. But wait o, who are going to fund ADC? No governor has agreed to join or sent a representative. Even Otti has disowned his membership of the party. Otti doesn't seem to rate Obi at all. |
Exercise in futility!!! You may not like my comments but dislodging Tinubu is not going to a child's play. Tinubu is a master in the game. He is not Good luck and would do everything to retain power. Sadly for the coalition, there is no governor present in the unveiling |
Carework is never an easy job. Lots of sadist are doing the job because they could not see any other job. Some would allow their attitude to affect their daily job. If you are not a patient, caring, understanding and resilient person, don't take care jobs abroad. |
Nigeria's politics is not for the faint hearted. The coalition should have tightened all loosed ends with legacy executives of ADC. I Know it is not easy to satisfy all members of the ADC. Those that did not get anything would still cause trouble for the new members of the coalition. Believe me, opposition may continue to be in disarray till 2027 and may not have a strong rallying party. |
Atiku and Obi for become President and Vice if they had worked together - sadly, they all their own ambition, which worked against them, allowing the "great" BAT to capitalized on that to clinch the presidency. The 2023 election thought me many things. To imagine that the combined votes of Obi and Atiku was up to 14m and still lost the election should be a puzzle. |
Obi seems not to understand how Nigeria's politics works. It would be extremely difficult for him to win the presidency by going solo. Obi had the best of chance to deputize for Atiku in 2023 but he felt that he would win. I am not disputing his capacity to govern but in Nigeria, you have to use your senses to achieve what you want. It is either Obi is a front for APC or he is under a big illusion |
