UAC would finally bury the "Chi". Can they sustain the operation and profitability of chivita? Coca-Cola deployed their huge economy of scale to run chivita and company. I doubt if UAC has the same logistical capacity and economy of scale power to run the show. Just as someone rightly pointed out above, Coca-Cola may have deliberately bought chivita and company to "kill" it off and claim some tax benefits. FIRS should not agree to that impairment loss. It should be added back to Coca-Cola's profit and taxed appropriately. Coca-Cola deliberately over valued chivita and company to evade capital gains tax at disposal. They have already claimed that proceeds from sale to UAC was far below their purchase and carrying value. They want to avoid CGT. Make FIRS no gree for them o. |
He may not even see anything to do within a year. The Swedish job market has tanked and international students are struggling, big time. Those that have finished school are leaving the place and seeking opportunities elsewhere. If you don't have money for US, Canada, Australia or New Zealand, just stay back in Nigeria and find what to do with the little money you have. However, if you are going to Sweden and other non English-speaking countries on scholarships, no problem. Once you are done, with outstanding results, you can source for scholarships for a PHD level study in the countries I mentioned above. |
Just look at his response. He acquired the French citizenship to make things easier for his children that were studying in France. Everything about African leaders is about themselves and their families. |
That AstroTurf would be pulled off later after the commissioning of the stadium and sold. |
I033:Go to Ado Road, Badore, Ajah. Ask for Mr. Kazeem. He would replicate it for you. ![]() |
When you consider per capita, then, it should be Senegal. Nigeria is 12 times bigger than Senegal in population but they have pretty number of representation in the league |
"Sharing our vision for a better world " as in what naa, Davido? |
I sorry for travellers on that road this Christmas. See one of the busiest federal roads in the county. Lagos-Benin-Asaba-Onitsha highway should be prioritised but Umahi seems to be preoccupied with other matters. |
So sad! This almost happened to me in 2016 when I left my three year old daughter in the car to pick up something inside the house and my phone ranged. I started answering the call. and I completely forgot that I had a three year old daughter in the car |
See a Nigerian in a Nigerian school being one of the top 0.01 percentile in global exam like SAT. This also shows the quality of teaching in some of our highly - rated private secondary schools. He still looks too young and immature. In Canada, a 15 year old should be in grade 10. A friend whose son finished SS1 in Nigeria with hope of getting into grade 11 (SS2) in Canada when they relocated was stepped down to grade 9 (JSS 3) because of his age. He was just 14 when he finished SS1 in Nigeria. |
That Regina's brother seems to be on drugs. He didn't act maturely. I am sure some people would be praising him for violently defending his sister. Sometimes, you have to show wisdom and maturity to broker peace. |
Nothing new here. Very common in Anambra state. Once the patriarch of the family is gone, the sons usually go to war. This happens, especially when some siblings are doing well and some are not, coupled with the fact that the brothers would have gotten married and brought home different shades of characters that are not consistent with the family values of the men in the house. Suspicion, greed, envy and backbiting sets in. This is very common in many towns and villages in Anambra. |
This may not be the best approach - political negotiation is the best. You do not bamboozled the government to take action on something as sensitive as this issue. Releasing Kanu at the back of protest will strengthened him more than been released on compassionate or political grounds. I would prefer that he is released on political grounds than the government being forced to released him because of protest. His lawyers and the political leaders from SE should engage with FG and see what could be done and read the terms and conditions of his release to him for acceptance. Kanu has become an issue in SE and I am sure some politicians from SE may not look favorable to his release. The man still has this cult-like figure and he may end the political career of lots of politicians. He is also key to the insecurity ravaging the region. Terrorists are banking on the back of the man to continue to cause mayhem in the region. I pray that political settlement is found in this issue and this case quickly closed. |
Moroccans always looks more like the Portuguese than Arabs - they are just a stone throw from Portugal |
Turkey always doing strong head. If you call Turkey, Iran and Egypt to help rebuild Gaza now, they would disappear. Palestinians and Gazans should stand with the people with capacity to help them rebuild their territory. They should follow Saudi, UAE, Kuwait and other gulf States. Qatar is becoming a strange bedfellows among the gulf States |
YungJo207:How do you sell? I want to use it for exterior wall. Do you have the bigger sizes? |
The Balami guy, an LP financier and a staunch obidients movement founder is about to port. ![]() This guy pulled his resources for Obi in 2023 presidential elections. Sadly, in Nigeria, businesses follow the food and where the connections are. His empire would be served more by being in the APC. It is no more a question of if, but when is he going to finally port. |
This Reno seems to be working seriously to secure Dangote's account as a PR for the company. |
This one na upper cut. I am just imagining Obi's face right now after this punch from the Wiked one. ![]() |
We don't need them. We are happy with our neighbourhoods super markets. |
I wonder how Atiku and Obi would be feeling right now These duo had the best of chances in 2023 but ego did not allow any one of them to step down for the other, buoyed by the mob supporters they had, thinking that the coast was clear. Sadly, PBAT calculated and took his chances. The rest is history. In this life, always weigh your chances and see if you could settle for less for something bigger in the future. Obi did not do that in 2023 Obi allowed emotions to betrayed him and he has lost out - As it is, the momentum is with PBAT. Obi and Atiku had the best of chances to pair each other and coast home to victory but each of them was moved by his own vaulting ambition. It was even worse on the Obi case as he ran with Atiku in 2019. What Atiku wanted was for them to pair again for 2023 and possibly make a way for him in 2031 but no! the movement that came onboard thought that Obi would sail through. Any body campaigning for any other candidate is just wasting his time - the ticket and presidency is sure for PBAT. I am surprised that neither Atiku nor Obi have said any since the wave of defection started. Congratulations to PBAT!! |
The train is moving up North - from Taraba, the thing fit reach Adamawa By this time next year, there wont be any candidate from any party for the presidential election. The moral to contest against BAT would be extremely low and unmotivating. Wike, na you do this one. You told PDP say na you go kill them las, las. I foresee Sowere as the only potential candidate to slug it with BAT. Atiku and Obi may likely fizzle out. BAT/Wike combo no be for here o! - destruction and decimation from within |
I agreed. One could still raise kids abroad but Nigeria's environment has a way of making one to raise and all round kids. My people in US do send their children to be enrolled in some prestigious catholic schools in Nigeria. One is currently in my house, attending one of the Jesuit colleges in Nigeria - He would move to boarding when he gets to JSS 3 His parents in Houston are happy about their decision, one of which they want him to have Nigerian friends, class mates and build a good social networks with some Nigerians. The religious aspect of it is also a factor and the ability of the kids to connect to our village and his root. So far, he is bonding very well and adapting fast. The below quote from MI is the goal "He revealed that he envisions a balanced upbringing for his future kids — one that merges Nigerian cultural roots with global exposure." |
Me wey don join APC, tey tey, as part of national youth campaign team. ![]() Find where the money and food are and follow. No be me love Nigeria pass. If another party takes power, I will find way to join and the trend would continue. No allow politicians and politics stress you out. Find a way to get close to the cookie jar. I follow them come this Nigeria. I can't be by the side why some people will keep enjoying the spoils of the country. By 2031, all Southern states governors would have decamped to APC. This has been planned tey tey. Atiku would just get tired and fizzle out. BAT would definitely groom a northern successor in 2027 and definitely not Atiku. Nuhu Ribadu will definitely be in the front of the queue to succed BAT |
Paul Biya is holding Cameron for blokos. See Biya that peacefully succeeded Ahmadou Ahijou in 1982 is not letting go of the presidency. |
I remembered when this Raja of a guy took office. There was wide jubilation across Madagascar. He is now an outcast. Madagascar is a conglomerate of Asians, Indians, Arabs and black Africans, mixed races, with sprinkle of whites, originally from Portugal, Spain and France. The ethnic composition is diversified |
Prayer for new Nigeria ![]() Tell your colleagues politicians to sit up. I always have this inner doubt about the efficacy of prayers to solve national problems. Countries should work towards developing their States and leave God alone. |
Sadly, all the little open spaces within the vicinity of the cathedral have been turned into another "Oyinbo" market, with traders selling all categories of wares. This should be a tourist attraction but Nigeria's environment and our decorum of puts tourists away. |
Defections of the opposition politicians didn't happen like this under Buhari. |
This looks like an insider job, even by the own account of the Nigerian military. Ambush, sometimes, means that the enemy has gotten information about your movement. Imagine using drones to destroy the Nigerian military hardware. These guys are going more sophisticated. Honestly, the way this war is going, I don't expect any Nigerian army to be anywhere outside Borno state. 95% of the rank and files of the armed forces should be deployed to the war zone. Many soldiers are in other parts of the country doing nothing. |
Good one from Oyo State. I don't know why civil servants don't want to retire to give room for upcoming graduates. This issue of experience is not tenable again. Most of them at 60 don't do any meaningful work at the office. Same applies to university lecturers. If there are well-established succession plan, you don't need the old ones in their 60s to mentor in coming workers. |
This Nwabali keeps feeling that he is untouchable - The coach should start testing other keepers so that he would sit up He keeps making useless mistakes. |
