I think everyone is entitled to their opinions and have their life to live, it's up to the individual to choose what
Kind of environment meet their aspirations.

Since many are becoming western, it's up to us to find a balance with our culture and to improve our society.

Rather than complaining, why not come together to see how everyone can add value to society, why not listen to people and give them the chance to grow.

Pretending its just a phase is harmful.

It's good to travel and to learn different cultures, and to see how developed nations work, just isolating oneself in Nigeria, means one remains as they are even mentally. And you know how sick people become when they are in one place with a lot of stupid thinking.

Let more people travel out abeg, so they can be ashamed of themselves and their abnomalities grin grin grin

Go and see how sane people are living, at least you will hide the shame on the inside grin grin grin
Apt.

@ the bolded. You're right. Travelling is a form of education and it is really much needed for people to emancipate themselves from mental slavery.

You don't see Americans, British or Dutch people separating from their families just to work in Africa.
Lol. You're wrong in this aspect.

There are lots of expats leaving their families and coming to work here and even establish businesses in Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania etc because it favours them very well.

I worked in a law firm that deals with lots of expatriates and I was opportuned to see how their Residence permit, Business permit etc are processed and these are Americans, Brits and Dutch people.

For foreign investors in Nigeria, they enjoy lots of benefits including
1.Tax reliefs.
2. Pioneer status (eg. A company involved in manufacturing pioneer products is exempted from payment of taxes for 3years and may be extended for additional 2years if needed).
3. Tax reliefs on foreign loans.
4. Repatriation of all 100% capital imported without seizure is guaranteed to foreign investors.

Why do you think the Lebanese, Chinese, Pakistans, Americans and a host of others like investing in Nigeria?
You should think twice again. wink

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Advice: Should She Risk It Or Leave It by folake4u: 6:41pm On Aug 23, 2022
Na GNLD job be this. grin

Back in 100level when I was searching for job for extra cash,I saw a vacancy somewhere for Personal Assistant to CEO. See me thinking it's better job,I left home very early, didn't even have breakfast all in the name of "job interview". Lmao.
These people set exam for me,I was the highest scorer, then they asked Current Affairs which I aced, next thing was them explaining their products to me and saying in the next 3months, I will buy a car bla bla. The said "CEO" said he goes in and out of America everytime for vacation and all of that.
And the only thing I needed to do was to pay N5-10k for job registration and training.
Hian. I called plenty people that day and explained to them but it seemed like scam to them and God didn't even want me to be scammed that day sef.

That's how I went home dejected that I had "lost a job". Only for me to see the supposed "CEO" one day coming out from Mama put with toothpick in his mouth and entering bus. Immediately our eyes met, he became embarrassed and shifted his gaze.

I will never forget that day.

Woah... e come pack requirements like this? Welp. Maybe some other time sha or as time goes on, because like this I don't even have a resume or CV... and speaking of which, I think I should begin to like draft it now? Pending my graduation.

These are still very recently. cheesy Nothing, nothing beats the smell and the experience.

@bolded, that's such a nice idea, and habit to pick up. Well done.

cry This almost happened to me sha. Thank God for what God said, lol. I feel it usually take a great deal if effort for one to drag oneself back and over to that place. I guess my zeal for actually becoming a successful, bestselling author overweighs my comfort and the feeling of not doing what I want to do. I still have very high hopes for a writing career- as a novelist. smiley
Lmao. E pack requirements, my dear.

I also saw some Handwriting jobs on Upwork yesterday too that are way simpler.

Yes, you can start drafting out your CV, doesn't matter if you haven't graduated yet.
I started developing mine since 300level.

Lol, yes it's recent. Nothing beats the smell and experience, my dear. You sabi! cheesy

I wish you success in your career as a high flying novelist. The J.K. Rowling and Chimamanda Adichie of our time. kiss

PS: The Handwriting job on Upwork.
