Maeve7: It comes out. That’s why you need to clean your ears with water using your fingers. The inner ear should be a no go area. I’m not a doctor, just repeating what my doctor has told me.
Hmmm, I see. Thank you for the clarification, Maeve.
Konquest: @Folake, I just logged in and saw your mentions along with others.
@Bolded Okay then, you're such a "cheeky" woman. Lol
Indeed, anything can happen down the road if the "celestial forces" fall on you, and... BOOM!... you'll get listed in a mad cool category of the Guinness Book of World Records leading to world-wide recognition for you.
By the way, I had a good laugh when I saw the videos of the Lagos-based young man who twerked his "masculine backside" [in January 2024 for a whole 3 hours 30 minutes] right into the "Guinness Book of World Records." What I admire though is the "mental power" associated with doing that twerking for 3 hours 30 minutes. I personally do NOT have the patience for even 10 minutes of twerking my own backside.
Whoa! I enjoyed reading your feedbacks here and wish you a fun-filled, great weekend ahead.
Ciao.
It's not bad to be a cheeky woman though.
To be a Guinness Record Holder is not an easy feat (in any category), however, I'm not interested in it for myself.
Maeve7: Ear cotton buds should not be inserted into the ears. They push more dirt inside and can seriously injure the ear. My doctor advised me to clean my ears under the shower with water after I have caused myself an infection with cotton buds.
Oh wow, that's another angle.
But then again, how will the buildup of the ear wax come out?
Onegai: A white South African going around fanning racism and xenophobia globally...South Africans, come and collect your person abeg and keep him busy.
Karleb: I think those Docs that say the ear self cleans are full of sheet.
There are professionals whose job is to clean ears and I have never seen any of them complain of any issue. Some use these services regularly.
Hahahaha 😆 😂, I don't even know for these people mehnnn.
Funny enough, I'm not sure I've ever heard an ENT doctor complain of over-cleaning the ears. Matter of fact, I've taken a child to the hospital in Abuja when his ears were troubling him while preparing for school exams, the ENT doctor "washed" his ears, you need to see the quantity of wax/dirt that came out. He felt better afterwards and could write his exam well.
I admit here and now, I may NOT have visited this discussion forum within the time frame that Babajide Adebanjo's exploits got reported in the news. I've got to read up on the story right away.
Besides, Folake, are we expecting any "record-breaking misadventures"... Erm, I meant "record-breaking adventures" in any field from our "baby lawyer" soon?
No problem.
Lol. Nobody should be expecting any record breaking misadventures from me soon. Well, anything can happen.
Konquest: That's mad cool. "So aromatic and tasty" depending on the ingredients used andcwho makes it... That's "yaji" for you. I had my schooling at an elite high school with boarding facilities decades back in a major Northern State, so, that's how I got more exposure to the Northern cuisines and ways of life. Nearly all Northern and/or Hausa foods are practically OK. That's why I spoke about confirmation bias and prejudices by some on this thread.
You're right about the last paragraph though. Presentation matters to many folks BUT once each regional or ethnic-based cuisine is served creatively and with attention to little details, then we're good to go.
descarado: I don't know the names. Haven't seen them in Nigeria before. They are also soft in texture when cooked. You know our potatoes dey like yam. I think that's why we do not cultivate them.
"Creativity"... Yeah! I'll have to go check him up on YouTube or IG to see some of his twerking video moves. I can just imagine the masculine "Bakassi violence" right now.
Nigerians have indeed been registering themselves relentlessly into the different categories of Guinness World Records within the last 10 years! How come this wasn't in the news and on the NL front page which I visit at least once daily because of news reports. Kafee the Lagos-born dancer and choreographer ALSO won a Guinness World Record in a dance category years ago. You're indeed up-to-date on some of the goings on in the entertainment soace. I appreciate your sharing this with us or I would NEVER have known about it.
When we "work smart" every work week, we also have to get creative and "play hard and smart." I can't stand a rigid lifestyle WITHOUT stimulating adventure, cuisines and leisure travels. There's NO virtue in poverty and the duality of life (hot and cold, male and female, good and bad, day and night, etc) and existence emphasizes "balance," so I disagree with those who think creativity is NOT needed here. That's just boring as life shouldn't be taken too seriously tbh.
LOL.
It was actually on Nairaland and other social media spaces, surprised you're finding out since you frequent here on a daily basis.
