Petersburg94: Hello Gurus in the house please I need some advice, If my nysc is elapsing next month (October) but I go for a visa interview a week before my POP with no nysc certificate yet. Is it safe?
Does VO ask for NYSC certificate? Thats not an issue. It's not necessarily a requirement for F1. If asked tell the VO the same you told us |

DrTony1: Hello guys. You guys have been doing a nice job here.
I have an issue I need help with. I was refused a visitors visa early this year and later reapplied and got the visa to UK. Travelled and came back.
However, I now applied for Visa recently, a Tier 2 Visa and mistakenly ticked NO to the question: Have you ever been denied Visa. It was js an oversight, just realized I didnt see the question well when applying online
I have done biometrics and all. Please how has had experience concerning this scenario. I heard about the ban but does it apply for someone who has gone to the UK and back. Please what is the next step to folllow too You make the ECO job easy for him because you signed that all information is correct. But you never can tell. |

fpeter: Please for someone visiting the UK and plans to go to France for a couple of days before returning back to the UK and eventually back home to Nigeria, which flight itinerary will I submit since I'm flying straight to the UK and back from UK? You don't need any flight itinery for your application. |

kokoli: Good Evening amazing team. Glad for all the knpwledge shared on this platform..I have a few questions I need clarifications on. 1Am trying to make hotel reservation for visa application but all am.seeing are requesting for initial deposit but free cancellation but that was throigh travelstay. Can someone suggest any other platform i can check out. 2. Also am seeing the UK hotel rates in naira after initially appearing in pounds..Is that normal?3.Assuming I go ahead with the and make reaervation and do initial deposit, who knows if my deposit will be refunded easily and timely. 4. Can I make the hotel reaervation with Nigerian debit card? Looking forward to a detailed response To make your life easy, use www.booking.com. Most reservations are free but they will hold your card details. Again, read the terms to know when you can cancel for free. You can always change currency to your locality so it's normal to see in Naira as the sites use your ip addr to know where you are from and currency. addendum: I just saw your reply where you said you don't know how to search Type the area you are going: Leicester, London, Birmingham on the search space and you will see many options |

manlikegb: Ladies and Gentlemen, big kudos to everyone who has shared informative details on here at one point or the other. Myself and spouse just returned from Canada about a week ago and I thought to share our birthing journey and experience to keep the info on here flowing. Sorry it may be a bit long.
ABOUT VISA APPLICATION: We submitted our TRV application(Renewing) before we found out that we don port so birthing was not mentioned in our application.
POINT OF ENTRY: Our point of entry experience was smooth. The automated machine didn’t work for either of our passports, so we just proceeded to the counter to inform the CBP officer and he said thats no problem. So he asked us random questions, I guess those were the questions we were supposed to answer on the machine initially. Why are you in Canada today? Vacation and Childbirth Have you contacted a Dr? Yes, we have an appointment scheduled. How long will you be staying? 2months plus Do you have any meat products? No So he gave us this yellow card with a mark on it, and on our way out, we were directly to a room where they have another set of counters and a queue. I guess that's because of the mark on our card. Anyways, we got on the queue and waited till it was our turn. The officer we met with asked about the same questions and also asked how much we have on us. I told her and I asked she'd want to see, but she said no need. Took fingerprints and we were stamped in. Our bag of food was not even checked. I guess there were no concerns from their scans.
IN CANADA: We initially had an appointment with Dr Ayodele but for some reason, that didn’t work out as Brampton Civic stopped carrying out CS. He wanted to refer us to another Nigerian Dr in North York, but somehow we couldn’t reach an understanding and I don’t want to bore you all with that story.
Then it became very challenging to get another Dr, we made calls over calls and most would reject non OHIP or reject a 33wks gone patient or say they’re not taking new patients at the moment. Their system in Canada is somehow and most of these Doctor’s secretary are saucy.
Anyways, thanks to who else but @Hotstepper. God bless her for us. I explained our situation to her and she suggested if we don’t mind coming to Richmond Hill(which is about 45-55min drive to Brampton where we’re staying) that she could refer us to a Dr she had personally used in the past. She secured an appointment for us with the Dr and that was it.
Dr Name: C Ryan Ou Address: 9651 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill, ON L4C 1V7 Phone No: 905-918-0522 Hospital: McKenzie Health(Richmond Hill) Tests Done at LifeLabs: HbAIC, CBC, Prenatal AB, HIV, Prenatal Rubella, + Doc fee = 63cad Scan: 95cad. He demanded to see baby scan. Blood works at Hospital: 154cad (a day to admission) Dr fees for CS: 2500cad Anesthesiology services for Labour & Delivery: 1350cad in cash (Guess epidural is here) Hospital fees Mother/night: 2600(cheapest ward of 4 patients) Hospital fees Baby/night: 1300 CS fee: 875cad Lots of petty tests with petty costs done after birth, not sure if this is general or peculiar to our own situation. Advice is, always budget above the fixed fees.
Baby check up after 3days: 30cad at a walk in clinic. Another check-up after a week for another 30cad. I’d say call a few walk in clinics and ask for their price then go with the one that is ok for you.
Birth Certificate(Long&Short)- 60cad (35+25) Took about a week Passport- 107cad (express) Submitted Thursday, picked it up on Monday.
Infant ticket: Called Airfrance office in Canada and got it sorted at 126cad.
Naija Travel for Baby: 75usd. Did Visa On Arrival. It was stressful making payment on the site so I opted for the option to pay at Nigeria Airport which attracts an extra 20usd service charge. So Total = 95usd. This page has all you need to sort VOA - https://immigration.gov.ng/visa-on-arrival/
My host was very helpful with antenatal and Hospital visits but we had to take uber a few times and it ranges from 150-160cad to and fro Brampton to Richmond Hill. Its true to always choose an hospital close to where you stay.
Lastly I want to say a very BIG thank you to @Hotstepper. She is as kind in person as she is on here. She even visited us and I really don’t know how to thank her enough. God bless you Sis.
I wish y’all a successful visa application and birthing experience as well. |

Adedoyin2108: Good afternoon ladies
Baby girl arrived on the 3rd of January 2018 at Houston Northwest Medical Center through vaginal delivery. Breakdown of cost: Dr Xydas: 2000 Hospital: 2000 Induction: 200* Stress test: 200* Epidural: 650* Hospital peadiatrician: 675 (the normal fee is much higher, this is the The Healthy Baby Package rate) Pathology: 97 (after discount) Peadiatrician(after discharge): 75 Birth certificate: 75 (plus delivery charge) Passport: 160 (expedited) Visa on arrival 190 *these are optional
I got baby's birth certificate 18 days after birth, 22/1; it was delayed cos of the adverse weather. It's 23 per copy but I paid 75 because I ordered it online (http://houstontx.gov/health/BirthCert/) and it was delivered to me next business day. To save time, I booked my appointment at the passport agency while waiting for the birth certificate. I booked two appointments actually, with different email addresses just in case [(https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/apply-renew-passport/hurry.html) (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/apply-renew-passport/apply-in-person.html)] When booking the appointment, it's important to indicate that you need the passport same day in order to obtain a visa. After I got the birth certificate, I went for the passport interview the next day, 23/1. My husband wasn't present for the interview, but he was around for the baby's birth so we notarised in the US. If your husband isn't coming to the US, it's best to notarise the document at the US embassy before travelling to the US, notarising at a Nigerian notary public is no longer accepted. I got the US passport same day and sent the email for visa on arrival that night, got approval on Thursday 25/1 (https://immigration.gov.ng/visa-on-arrival/) and travelled on Monday 29/1 via Lufthansa. I had called Lufthansa customer care a day earlier to book a bassinet seat. I got to Lagos on the 30th, straight to visa on arrival office, presented the approval and other docs, filled a form, paid the fee and baby was stamped in for a month.
NB: Got the Social security number in less than 2 weeks
Thanks to everyone for sharing info on this thread, God bless you all mightily!. To God be the glory! |

K4daniel: Sir. It must be included because he will need to answer one by one..paragragh by paragraph only When you have your genuine answers and reason or your circumstances changed you will need to address some reasons you were denied in a cover letter and attach the letter. It will be scanned akong yoir documents but ensure you give it more time, invest in your circumstances and develop your life.Good job and businesses with no intention to stay in uk or show them you are desperate.
They will give you your visa. It mustn't be included. While filling out the form online, you will be asked whether you have been refused before in the past or not. Others have applied on this thread without doing including it. |

solaiphones: Funny enough most of this ECO don’t go through peoples applications very well they will just come out with nonsense excuse to refuse the visa. I seen a lot of issues like that, one of my brothers was refused five times before he finally got the visa with thesame set of documents. So they are wicked. And they are ripping we African off our money As i said earlier they don’t want black youth in their country. Don’t allow anybody to scare you with ban. So far all your documents are genuine why will they ban you So where will he see payslips that show he is earning 300k a month, bank statement that shows 13M, documents of his landed properties? Tell him those documents that your brothers used. |

Is it good n easy to get You've been denied, right? That one is even better because you will see your VO face to face. However, with the UK processing, you only submit your application. If you qualify, you get. If you don't, you won't. Meanwhie, you will still need to say the truth that you were denied US visa before. Good luck! |

Gent009: Hi guys I really need ur help with this question of mine. Pardon me if it sounds amateurish (we are all learning).
Am about getting a 2years US Visa to a college in Texas. And Have gotten admission for a master's degree in Canada.
Can I move to Canada from Texas to do my masters? Do I need to apply for Canada visa from USA? Or my USA visa will suffice. None of these says you've got any visa. Have you done your interview? Why moving to Canada? If Canada is your preferred choice, apply for your visa. Going to study in Canada from the US requires VISa. |
