Akalia: What a way to die. Thought the alpha jet is supersonic, how is it possible that an anti-aircraft gun can shoot a supersonic jet out the sky? I asked myself the same question! How can an ordinary AA gun not guided missile oh, take out a fighter jet? A whole smart ass fighter jet, not chopper or gunship! It means one of these is the culprit: 1. The pilots were incompetent amateurs or 2. The jet was flying too low which still leads us to number 1 point about the competence of the pilots or 3. The aircraft was faulty or developed a fault mid operation. But if that happened, the aircraft would have radioed their base not just disappear off radar! Or 4. Boko haram have somehow managed to acquire a surface to air guided missile weaponry and if this is the case then it's game over! But I highly doubt they have the clout to pull this off. The competence of the pilots is what this seems to point at. Goes to show the "quality" of operatives we have handling the war against terror in the NE. Modified: unfortunately, number 4 seems to be the culprit! RIP to those pilots. Southern Nigeria, it's time we left the north alone in their battle of the bastards! |

EzeAro: ESN clashed with and killed several herdsmen who have been fomenting trouble along that Eha Amufu axis, and now the army are attacking ESN, right now there's been a fierce and terrifying exchange of heavy gunfire all over Nsukka... I just visited to see my mum now I'm scared for my life and family. Very good! God bless ESN boys doing his work! Since the army have chosen to pick sides against the people, let them fall by the hundreds and thousands. Those bastard fulanis shot a friend of mine along this particular Eha Amufu area. They wore army camouflage, and mounted a road block that night pretending to be soldiers. They successfully robbed my friend, then attempted to kidnap him and that was when my friend resisted. They shot at him; but for the odeshi he had, he'd be dead now. When the bullets didn’t hurt him, he attacked both of them to try to snatch a rifle. They fought back and managed to escape into the bush. So immediately I heard Eha Amufu, I knew it's true because those fulanis be doing the most there for sometime now! |

Shey na ESN be this oo abi? People have to know tensions are very high this period. Many People are nursing various degree of anger and vengeance against law enforcement agencies especially police and the army partly due to their reign of impunity over the years which reached a crescendo when they killed youths at Lekki.
Buhari has failed and the lives of law enforcement now mean nothing! A whole CSP killed but do I care? No! Those CSPs are at the very top of the crimes happening in the police force! |

Politics › Re: Lai Mohammed: Brands Running Adverts On CNN, Others To Pay ₦100,000 Fine by Foolishbuhari: 7:54am On Mar 30, 2021 |
SmartPolician: Nope, I beg to differ.
Huncle, there's a local content law that compels Nigerian radio and TV stations to play Nigerian music more than foreign music. So, the local industry didn't just grow; it grew because there was legislative support.
BTW, your moniker shows that you can never support anything that comes from this government, even if it's for the benefit of the country. I guess I wasting my time responding to you.
I couldn't even make out the point you were making because you are more interested in attacking the man for what he said or did in the past as opposed to tackling the topic at hand.
Take it or leave it, anyone who wishes this country good will see the positive side of this policy, regardless of what necessitated it or who formulated it.
PS: I won't reply you again. What local content law nonsense? Nigeria music and movies worked extra hard to where they are now. Giving their win to the government is simply nonsensical and stupid because they earned it. Then, you lost this the very moment you went partisan. That I hate the vegetable at Aso Rock doesn't mean I have lost my sense of decency to hope for the best for my country! But useless cretins like you see politics in everything. Even when people die due to the failure of the vegetable in chief at Aso Rock,y'all cheer because you're propping some brown toothed corrupt old fool to be president. Talk about slave mentality! |
Politics › Re: Lai Mohammed: Brands Running Adverts On CNN, Others To Pay ₦100,000 Fine by Foolishbuhari: 7:30am On Mar 30, 2021 |
SmartPolician: I don't like Lai Mohammed for anything, but I think he has a point. If we must grow in this country, we must protect our own. This is a nice way of compelling these companies to produce their ads in Nigeria and help the local media and creative industry grow. Do you know how much Dangote, Zenith, glo and Access Bank spend to run ads and sponsor programmes on CNN?
Again, Lai Mohammed didn't ask them to stop advertising, however, he wants to encourage the local content development industry to grow. That's why he made it clear that the fines will go to local content development. "The half a million will go to the Content Development Fund.”
You see, Nigerian films are some of the most seen in Africa and elsewhere in the world because we like it. Nigerian music displaced American hip hop and R&B in Nigeria's clubs, parties and radio stations because the former administration enacted and implemented local content laws. Today, Nigerian music has grown to the level of winning Grammy awards.
My point is, we need to encourage local content development as a way of strengthening our country and creating jobs. However, other sectors have to follow suit, including the health and education sectors to end medical tourism and overseas education respectfully. While at it, they must improve our system significantly. If you take your head out APC's ass perhaps you can breath and think better.. You gave an example with Nigerian movies and music but I'd like to ask if foreign music playing stations and musicians were sanctioned or killed to promote ours. The local industries, grew up, competed against the norm and won thus breaking foreign music's influence in of the Nigerian. Now can you say same about our broadcasting industry? Do you watch NTA? Lai took a whooping $500M to "restructure and revive" the NTA. He told us it was going to be CNN standard after he was done but see NTA's graphics in 2021! Simply appalling! Government fiat can never drive profitability in any business and the earlier we know that, the better |

I pity the lack of moral compass of so many Nigerians... Even Jim Bakker, whose church business contributed much more to the local and US economies, went to prison for MUCH LESS! SMH > Writing everything in bolded fonts makes your presentation very clumsy. Please learn. Then to the topic, could you please point to where I said he could get away with perceived atrocities?
