Car Talk › Re: I’m In A Dilemma: Bmw 3 Series Or Lexus IS 250, Which Is A Better Ride. Pix by Foolishbuhari: 5:06am On Jan 28, 2019
Jbleenk:
I’ve own and driven a Bmw before (although not within the shores of Nigeria) I loved each and every seconds I spend driving it.

I haven’t experienced Lexus on the other hand but I’m sure it must be a great ride.

My dilemma

Every cells in me is longing for a Bmw, but I’ve been getting bad reviews about it being unreliable on Nigerian roads and how expensive maintenance could get plus no readily available mechanics with adequate experience blah blah blah but I still feel like going for it against all odds.

People have been asking me to go for the Lex for obvious reasons being not expensive to run and maintain and what have you.

For those that have experienced driving any of the wheeps in Nigeria, can you please set the record straight so I can make an informed decision.

Thanks.

Pix are just for illustration
The bolded is a fallacy Bro... Perhaps cheaper parts but with my experience from normal running costs of a Lexus (Rx330 and Es330) and all that, maintaining it isn't as cheap as what people make you believe especially fuel oo Lol. So don't fail to expect surprises from the IS250 as it may not be the angelic Saint you think it to be oo LOL

I find running my Benz cheaper as per fuel economy mostly sha cheaper by far

I'd sit back sha and watch the whole proceedings as it all unveils. See hungry people supporting a government that made the country poverty capital of the world. Instead of trying to resolve that tasteless tag, he Suspended the constitution again and acted and his zombies are falling over themselves to lick his balls.

Thank you lord that Nigeria has played no role in my life so far and matter of fact, their passport has only been a blight to me. Dual citizenship loading perhaps I'd even completely renounce the pariah country and make a run for the hills grin

Did you read the message at all, ngwa go back and read it gradually, it is just a sentence nna.
For the fact Onoghen admitted he should have stepped aside, like i keep on saying ignorance can never be an excuse to the rule of law
No Bro you got it wrong! For the fact onnognen accepted, the law states the CCB should have given him another form to update his assets declaration which is why I am sure he accepted. At least they are not foreign accounts. It is when he denies you charge him to the CCT to prove his innocence But this has even been taken off the narrative.

I am not holding brief for onnognen, if he is tried and found guilty, let the big stick fall on him. I am majorly against setting this constitutional rascality as a precedence. This move has politics written all over it and I am optimistic this week is going to be very Interesting

PMB obeyed a court order that sought protection from an unrepentant crook who was abusing his powers. PMB cannot assume to the position of an appeal court because you love corruption.
What ever makes you sleep at night Because Total clap trap is what you just said no offence.

So he now chooses court orders to obey? Lol these Zombies would bring the death of this country.

Does he even have the powers to suspend the man? These are the questions we are asking! I personally don't hold brief for no one... All I am saying we shouldn't set a precedence that would consume us in this country and due to the need not to set this bad precedence, this new week would be very interesting.

The NJC cum judiciary won't let this assault on them stand because if they do due to blind personal and partisan appeal, they endanger the fabrics of the very laws they defend and stand for. And when they do, Mark my words even if onnognen goes down which I pray he does because the controversy around him is too much, Mr Tanko would take a direct hit because history has always shown the usurper gets kicked in the balls. You don't become chief justice because you have some connection to government house. You don't become chief justice without the input or recommendation of the NJC! So guess who shot himself in the foot for some five minutes glory.

Very interesting week ahead. Grab your pop corn people let's watch these people slug it out. Meanwhile get ready for February 16th people... we must correct the mistake we made 4 years ago
Politics › Re: Appeal Court Cannot Make An Order Stopping CCT From Sitting~femi Falana by Foolishbuhari:
Same way the CCT can't try a man via charges from the CCB without giving him an opportunity to update his assets declaration when he accepts.

Same way the CCT can't pass an exparte order to the president to remove the head of another arm of government. They were meant to pass that on to the NJC or the senate.

Same way buhari has no constitutional right what so ever to SUSPEND and swear in another CJN at his personal discretion! Two wrongs don't make a right neither do you fight illegality with illegality.

We sane Nigerians are saying if we let this assault on the judiciary stand, we have set a precedence and another president could even do worse...probably suspend the NJC and nothing would happen! Personally I am not holding brief for the onnoghen man I am against executive rascality.

Plus if Buhari had always moved with this unusual speed as regards corruption in his own circle of friends, aides and appointees, I don't think the suspicion, resistance and public outcry that met this his latest dumb move would be this much.

Politics › Re: Onnoghen Can Still Reclaim His Position As CJN If Cleared By Tribunal – Sagay by Foolishbuhari: 5:18pm On Jan 27, 2019
OK but are they not ommiting what the law says about this?

If a public official is found to have discrepancies on his asset declaration form, the CCB is meant to invite him and ask then on admittance given another form to update his assets declaration.

But in this case, they hurriedly jumped invitation by the CCB and charged the said person to the CCT even after he admitted to the error. Is that what the law says? Then they go on a media trial to paint the man bad in the eyes of the public then unleash their half wits to sing their praise and say they are fighting corruption. Sounds familiar?

Welcome to Nigeria where laws are set aside for when necessary Lol
Politics › Re: PREMIUM TIMES EDITORIAL: Onnoghen: Time To Halt Nigeria’s Slide To Anarchy by Foolishbuhari: 5:03pm On Jan 27, 2019
Dootty:
Has anyone bothered to find out what the law guiding the code of conduct bureau says. The code of conduct is not to try corruption but non declaration of assets. The law says when the public official admits his error in declaration of assets, u withdraw the assets form and give a new one to fill not charge him to court.
Only when he denies the allegations that he is to charged to CCT which was not the case with the CJN so why charge to CCT.

That's the position of the law and until it is changed the CCB should do the needful, give the a new asset declaration form to fill and withdraw the case from the CCT unless they can prove that he has foreign accounts.

Unfortunately for them, domiciliary account is not equivalent to foreign bank account so no infraction there.

This is just tyranny rearing up having bullied the legislature into submission, gagged the press with hate speech, harassed the opposition in oblivion, strangled the populance with hunger and poverty, filled the echelon of the security architecture with your loyalists and now for the final operation to achieving to absolute control, total control of the Judiciary.

Welcome PMB the president for Life, BAT and Co should just forget 2023 because as long as PMB is alive, no one will smell the presidency again.
I never knew we still had sane and learned Nigerians like you Bro... Very aptly said.

This whole thing smirks of politics and mischief from a senile old man and a dying party having their last futile kicks. The CJN did not deny the allegation so what the CCB was meant to do was to give him another form but instead they charged him to a kangaroo CCT court to begin media trials which they are very good at. Paint the person bad then go for his jugular and have your demented supporters around the country write epistles on how you are the best thing since the discovery and how you are fighting corruption. Same old script!

But this time, men of good conscience would stand up and fight them to the finish. This week is going to be very Interesting. Osinbajo just canceled his appointment with rubbing minds because he knows there would be a public backlash but let's keep fingers crossed.

Sharing a country with such raving fools is unfortunate I must say the least

Oga many of us condemning the act are not saying the man is innocent. Personally I don't care if he gets disgraced out of office if found culpable. What I detest is the utmost disregard for the constitution, the rule of law and everything that guides us as a natio of

You don't fight illegality with illegality same way you don't fight corruption with corruption. Buhari has no right to act the way he did and that action is Null and void. Of it were a wise move, why hasn't the attorney general come out to defend it, why hasn't osinbajo their VP come out to defend it?

They are even driving sympathy the way of the embattled CJN because it's now very glaring they are doing this as back up for the defeat they would receive in the hands of Nigerians in 19 days from now.

We are speaking against the illegality of the action because the judiciary is a separate arm of government not under the jurisdiction of the executive.

Something interesting about this audio recording saga is that it will not stop Buhari supporters from supporting Buhari and neither will it add a single extra vote to PDP. Just amusing how Nigerians spend so much energy on irrelevance.

Meanwhile, I'm still yet to have anyone explain how Amaechi's statement is an INSULT to buhari?... Sounded more to me like Amaechi mocking Nigerians... Except something must really be wrong with my comprehension today.
At the bolded, I'm afraid that's the situation! They promised change and Amaechi is saying the country can't be changed... Rings a bell? Buhari doesn't care he doesn't read about anything anyone says meaning he belongs to no one, but himself. Meaning even Amaechi doesn't believe In the government sef.

BTW if according to what you spin doctors are saying that amaechi is referring to Nigerians attitude, why has neither him nor his team come clean on it to clear the air?

You'd be surprised what that tape would do my friend... Especially coming from the DG of the dullard's campaign

They leaked and published military plans! I am sure the punishment is death penalty. Not everything is politics please. If you have relatives that are in the military serving in the North East, you will know how serious the crimes is. This explains how our soldiers are always ambushed! Nonsense
And you my friend are either uninformed or simply blinded by partisan affiliation and hate.

First the military denied Baga was never captured so what exactly are they scared of?
Now having covertly accepted, what do you expect short of a reprisal to reclaim Baga and the rest?

It's an open secret that they'd attack and attempt to reclaim the town and even boko haram fighters are not foolish to know they won't attack so exactly what sabotage and treason are you talking about?

Were intricate battle formation leaked? Were commanders names leaked? Were troop and platoon leaders names published? Was the time of operations published? Was a date for the operation given? All these are what could have been termed as sabotage and the answer to all is NO!

For Pete's sake anyone could come up with such speculations for an impending military operation to clear the area.

I feel the army attacked the media outlet because they've been very brutal and apt in rubbishing the lies of the NA. They've sustained the tempo on unbiased reportage about true events from the NE theater despite lies and threats from the NA.
