benjackugo: IgbereTV reports that Chelsea footballer, Victor Moses, has made a significant donation to support his former club, Wigan Athletic amid their financial struggles during the pandemic.
At the end of the 2019/2020 season, Wigan were relegated alongside Hull City and Charlton Athletic.
Moses played for the Latics before joining Chelsea in 2012.
The club's supporters body has confimed that the former Super Eagles player has made a significant financial contribution to the club that'll stop them from going into extinction.
The supporters are aiming to raise £750,000 to support the club this season, and they are now within £100,000 of the target after Moses sent money.
“Wow – what can we say? When Victor got in touch to say he wanted to help by donating such a substantial amount, I just couldn’t believe what I was hearing – it’s such an incredible gesture,” , the chairperson of Wigan Athletic Supporters' Club, Caroline Molyneux, said.
“Victor wanted to make the donation and remain anonymous but we simply had to make sure he gets the recognition he deserves.
"Victor’s contribution has taken us past £650,000 and to within £100,000 of our next target of £750,000.
“We are so thankful to Victor for his support. He is an excellent footballer, a true role model and someone we always enjoyed watching at the DW Stadium – he will always be welcome back here, even more so now!”

DebbieBianca: Daddy Freeze has shared lovely photos of his family, where his father, mother, wife and a child were seen, in respect to what the founder of Salvation Ministries in Port Harcourt, Pastor David Ibiyeomie said about him.
Recall that Pastor Ibiyeome on Sunday had threatened to kill Daddy Freeze for insulting Bishop David Oyedepo.
According to Pastor Ibiyeome, Daddy Freeze was insulting Oyedepo because he had no father and that if he had one, he should show his picture for the world to see.
Ibiyeome said Daddy Freeze had no wife as the one he has had left him.
Pastor Ibiyeome said that the day Daddy Freeze insults Oyedepo, "I will deal with him and arrest him. Who gave birth to you? Do you have a father? Show us his picture."
“Oyedepo will not talk but I can’t be alive and you insult my father. I curse the day you were born. I will tear you into pieces you bastard. He is insulting him because he has no father. “You can never insult a father if you have one, be warned. A man whose wife left him, has no good job, will be insulting my father and people will be laughing online. I will never be alive to see such and do nothing again.”
Daddy Freeze to prove Pastor Ibiyeomie wrong decided to post pictures of his family and loved up video of his parents.

Edo 2020: PDP installs digital billboard to broadcast Oshiomhole’s attestation on Obaseki’s credibility
As part of its campaign strategy, the Edo State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has installed electronic billboard to broadcast the former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole’s attestation to the credibility and integrity of Governor Godwin Obaseki during the 2016 governorship election campaign in the state.
The South-South acting chairman of the party, Dan Orbih, commissioned the electronic billboard located at the defunct African Continental Bank (ACB) building in Ring Road, Benin City.
Orbih, who is also the PDP state campaign council chairman for the September 19 governorship election, said the electronic billboard will help to broadcast all accolades, votes of confidence poured and passed on to the governor as the APC candidate in 2016 by the former governor, Oshiomhole.
He also disclosed that the electronic billboard will help to showcase to the people of the state all the governor’s campaign tour in the 192 wards across the 18 local government areas.
“We are here this evening to commission the electronic board as part of the party and the governor’s campaign innovation. This electronic board will televise most of the governor campaigns’ jingles, all that the former national chairman of APC said about the governor, and also where sometime people will be to watch some of the party’s campaign visit across the 192 wards and 18 local government areas, so that even if you are not able to go with him, you can have a very good view of some of his activities in the course of our campaigns activities,” Orbih said.
“Some persons don’t actually have access to watch and listen to the campaign in their homes but wherever they pass through the Ring Road, they will be able to watch the campaigns. This is quite commendable and I believe that it is a new chapter in the campaign arrangement to reach out to more people,” he said.
While commenting on the former governor’s allegations that Governor Obaseki masterminded the suspension of the Onojie of Uromi, he advised those in the position of leadership especially the politicians not to take any action or decision they will not be able to stand by after leaving office.
He alleged that Oshiomhole during his tenure as governor of the state unilaterally suspended the traditional ruler, but the suspension was, however, lifted by the incumbent governor.
Orbih urged the people of the state not to trust on politicians that cannot stand by their decision, noting that the forthcoming governorship election is all about Edo people and their future as the state cannot afford to go back to Egypt.
