Manchester City are interested in the signature of Anglo - Nigerian starlet Ademola Lookman ahead of the start of the winter transfer market, according to various reports in the British press. But the Citizens face competition from Londoners Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur to land his signature, while Championship outfit Brighton & Hove Albion are also credited with an interest, the Daily Mirror has reported. The 18 - year - old joined Charlton Athletic in 2014 before breaking into the first team in November, thanks to his form for the Under 18s and Under 21 teams. Man City, Chelsea and Spurs posted scouts to monitor Ademola Lookman at close quarters when The Addicks took on Brighton on Saturday and he did not disappoint, scoring his first professional goal in the second minute of the encounter. The teenager was on the books of Waterloo FC before he was snapped up by Charlton. Photo Credit : cafc.co.uk |
Truckpusher:The proposed degree 4 bill is dead on arrival. They know. Did they really go to the Senate to make policy that will benefit the masses in the first place? the answer is No. Do they even really know how to run a country? They want to flog the child and also expect the child not to cry loud. It's not possible now. The child most cry na. |
If they really want cheap houses, they should build with red mud. It is cheaper and affordable. |
If the senators hear international no-fly list, dem go repent one time. |
Toll is needful. |
Zaikon:Even, if na Biafra, make dem do road first, make I fit see my people regularly and also see Uyo and Calabar with my family before visa will be required. ![]() |
ogoplus:Bros, have you gone through Aba - Uyo axis recently? |
allanphash7:OK, I see. |
People just like to comment without reading. The op made valid points. I quote ' What plans do they have in place to administer the republic especially as they told me.'we will know what to do when we get our own country' was the answer. Meaning no plans. But he left them with a poster " You may have a leader but not a government, failed republics fail because of the absence of real government and countries don't only succeed because they have good leaders". Then, he went further to tell us how USA drafted agreements and concessions before fighting for independent. The writer make sense.... |
They should remember Aba- Uyo road, Aba - Port Harcourt road, and the rest. PL |
The bone of contention is, can ship (not canoe, flying boat or ferry) pass through the water ways into Biafra? The answer is yes. How, Where,.....? 1, Through Calabar and Port Harcourt. 2, Through the rivers (after dredging). But these two ways are not possible until these questions are answered. I, Have the owners of Calabar and Port Harcourt agreed to be part of Biafra? 2, Will Biafra be allowed the right of passage peradventure these two cities refuse to be part of Biafra? This will also depend on the relationship between the country and Biafra. |

There are some things I can't understand: I can't understand 25,000 is greater than 40,000. Then, why was Audu not declared winner in the first place? I can't understand why a constitutional recognized deputy candidate in an already won election not qualified enough to replace the diseased candidate. Was Audu qualified to contest in the election without choosing and submitting the name of his running mate to INEC before the election as stipulated in the electoral laws? I can't understand why a party(APC) will forcefully compel and intimidate a citizen to contest in an election against his own free will even after he has publicly rejected the offer. Does the party believes in human rights, democracy and rule of law, or is contesting for election by force and no longer voluntarily? I can't understand why many Nigerians will want to go against a citizen willing to express his grievances through a legitimate court of law. Does he not have the right to seek legal means to win back his stolen mandate as Ameachi, Oshiomole, Aregbesola, etcetera did? |
You mean shame to Museum service. Most of the fire engines have been in a static position for donkey years to the best of my knowledge. |
Noneroone:Hmm! The man who knows tomorrow has spoken. All Nigerians take heed to his prophetic words for he is a Prophet. ![]() |
cktheluckyman: This one na really by force by fire and after using him to win the election, they will discard him like used tissue paper. |
loopman:I see. Unfortunately, some of the Nigerians OBJ is fighting for are easterners. You see, If you live in a glass house don't throw stones. |
What did OBJ accused Mahanta for? 1, For blackmailing Nigerians(not his own interest) 2, For illegally extorting Nigerians The other two are inconsequential to me. So, is it a crime to defend the interest of his country people? People said Ghanaian president should have slapped him, forgetting OBJ na military General. Some said he is nobody but how can a nobody person become the Chairman of former Presidents which includes America, France, Germany, Italy etcetera? |
old2boy:First of all, If Biafra pulls out of Nigeria there will be nothing called Nigeria. Every nations in Nigeria will automatically or forcefully part ways. If they part ways peacefully, foreign businesses could remain in some parts of the seceded nations which simply mean they will make money, but if they part ways forcefully, foreign businesses will desert the Nations and every ethnic groups will be afraid to sojourn in any of these hostile Nation. Nobody go even think of applying for visa. Even if na free self. |
Where's Festus Onigbinde who led Nigeria to the Nations cup final in 1984 which they lost to Cameroon by 3 goals to 1? And in the same year led 3SC to the first ever CAF Champions league final by any Nigerian club side. Where is John Salako the present first team coach of Crystal Palace? |
joseph1013:I thought I have already answered your question on that. Attacking players can either strive or not depending on the team setup. In this case, I think the coach only came with a more rigid defensive formation than the usual defensive/counter attack formation and apart from that Aluko was just coming back from long injury. I think the coach should have allowed them play their usual 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1 formation. |
TheGoodJoe: ![]() |
TheGoodJoe: Really! |
TheGoodJoe:I blame the defenders, the keeper and above all the coach. |
joseph1013:OK, let's say as an attacking midfielder. |
joseph1013: very funny. OK, let me say it this way, 'the dude was kept quiet because the coach underused him'. ![]() Whose fault was that? ![]() |
TheGoodJoe:No mind them, but some of them knew that the team setup was too defensive and the defenders flopped. However, they expected much from Aluko. |
It stated the word 'underused'. |
This is what Hull City had to say about Aluko match rating. Sone Aluko: On a ground when he once impressed in the Premier League, the underused forward caused problems for the home team. A shot straight at Caballero almost brought the visitors an equaliser on the break. 6 Read more: http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull-City-player-ratings-rose-task-Manchester/story-28278586-detail/story. |
TheGoodJoe:@embolded was exactly what Aluko played on that day, he played behind the main Striker. |
