As always, you argue like you are so sure then at the end of the day it turns out that you only check these things on transfermarket.

I remember watching one of his games this season, he scored a goal in that match I can't remember the name of the opponent. He played the first five minutes as the AMF or maybe he was just in the middle to help stabilise the team, then for the next 85minutes he played out wide, when I say out wide I mean out wide, not even close to a right-sided pseudo AMF but here you are arguing what you don't know
Stop making statements devoid of concrete evidence. grin

At least, I have transfermarkt to back up my claims. What about you?

Or do you think I believe you're one angel Gabriel who no dey lie? grin

Show me prove and I shut my mouth. Period. grin

Na so you dey claim Etebor who is LW should have come in for Onazi. Bhuuuhahaha! grin

Give me the name of the opponent then I can tell what he played.

The @bolded confirmed he once played as a creative maestro. grin

Have you watched Ajagun this season? Not online posts, actually watched.

You got your data from transfermarket but left out the fact that they stated that he played from the right four times.

In the games, he scored, he also played from the wings. This is from actually seeing the game not online reports.

He has a total of ZERO assists.

In the games, that i have seen, Ajagun did not look like an AM, he played from the wings.
Stop shifting goal posts. grin

Did you watch all the 10 games he played this season?

From zero goals to zero assist. Bhuuuhahaha! grin

The fact remains he scored 2 goals when he played in the AM 4 times. Meaning your claim that he didn't play from the middle is null and void. Period. EOD

Whether, he played 4 times as a RM(take note right midfield) and ones as a DMF are inconsequential. The fact remains that he played as the central maestro has been established. EOD next please. grin

Why did you hide the fact he played as the AM 4 times? grin

Please, answer my other questions and this. Thanks

Alright, these are my thoughts.

Ajagun plays from either wings at his club not in the centre of midfield. He has not distinguished himself as a creative outlet or defensive midfielder to justify inclusion in the center of the field. I think there are options ahead of him.

For Aiyenugba, we have not seen much of him for years. On what basis, should he be number 1? He could be invited to compete though but i expect Enyeama to return.
Why do you like giving false information to buttress your point?

Ajagun has played 4 times in the AMF position and he scored 2 times already. He has also played in RM and DMF positions.

In short, he has scored 3 goals with an assist in 5 matches in the AMF position. How is that not impressed?

Can you please list those options you suppose are ahead of him, and let me see? grin

Abdul Ajagun is he on the up? is he one of the best in his league. Is he better than Fred Onyedinma and or Tega Onomah?

Taiwo Awoniyi hasn't done enough to merit a call up although the season is still young, let's see.

Would like to see Seyi Ojo in the mix. Which left sided player do we have that is better than himhuh
I know. I just wanted to squeeze him into the team. grin

Of course, Ajagun is on the up. I don't know about Fred but I will go for Josh Onomah though Ajagun is more experienced than Onomah.

A few exaggerations in this post.

Azubuike as good as i rate him is not currently one of the best Dms in Turkey. Agu has better stats than him in Turkey.
Tiago Ilori, we have options better than him like Iorfa. He does not fill me with confidence.
Ajagun is not a creative maestro. His passing stats are poor. Last season, he had only 2 assists and a 73% pass accuracy.
What position is Dominic Iorfa playing currently in his club?

If Tiago Ilori who had played at the highest level than Dominic Iorfa (who else), then is it Dominic Iorfa that fills you with confidence? shocked grin

Naijaphobia:
Please don't go the Akpeyi way, 80% of SE fans understand what I meant.Ajiboye was outstanding for Plateau united 2016/2017 NPFL season, he had represented both U17 and U20 national teams with little or no flaws and was outstanding in the single game he was in goal at WAFU.

You need to watch Tiago Ilori to see his ingenuity, he is a class any day. Ajagun right from is playing days and career movement has always been repelled by the bench. He is a play maker, with eye for passes and goals. Watch his performances in Greece, Holland and Belgium and you would have a rethink.

Azubuike with all objectivity can stroll into the Eagles midfield. Currently one of the best DM in turkey and his display at the Olympics merits him being in the fold but lack of quality agent that can plead his course is greatly working against him.In fact, inviting Agu ahead of Azubuike is an insult to football gods.

Everton may likely recall Onyekuru. Watch him closely and you see the 'henry' instinct in him. Skillful, fast and unplayable on his days.As for Kayode, please note that we need firepower in our attack. Among the strikers we have this boy seems unique. Kayode can operate from both wings and also top strike an attribute lacking in Iheanayo and Ighalo but also inherent in Oyekuru. We need players that are not easily pinned and are very mobile. Kayode and Onyekuru both can sub either V.Moses and S.Moses when the chips are down while operating as false 9 because they are both more of dynamic players.

You can as well make adjustment to the squad and try to justify. You are everly welcomed.
I can bet that none here who are pulling down Tiago Ilori have ever seen him played. They only depend on their imaginations and mere speculations that he's not good enough or depend on former tradition.... grin

That was how some just looked down on Manuel Akanji when I talked about him here. In short, they don't rate him because their tradition doesn’t suggest that a good defender can come from Galilee ....... grin But here we are now seeing the lad playing in a team highly rated than our dear Super Eagles. grin

The same way they are claiming Ajagun is not good enough because of some tradition.... grin not necessary based on talent. grin

My 14 man list are sure bankers for WC but d remaining are to fight for d 9 slots including potential gatecrasher like Joel Obi,Oyekwuru, Abdul Ajagun,Taiwo Awoniyi who happen to be my boy i can even call him my son,Josh Onomah,Brain Idowu.

Oh Joel Obi very good player but i hope he is injury free so that he can fight for a place in d team and there is no way he w be in 14 man list coz 14 man list was based on performance and strong bench, this made player like Aina to be on d list coz he can complement both full backs

On Nosa Igiebior,if u check my list very well,i try to accommodate all players Rohr and his technical team have used so far, that's why I gave him 10/90 chances of making it which is not possible.

Even Aron Samuel too,i don't expect him to be in d team but only Rohr can explain, his club form presently damn terrible.

Oh Kenneth Omeruo i still rate him highly coz Awaziem still need to prove to me he is ready, though good performance so far in his club but no matter what i w rather take Omeruo instead of Agbo Uche.
Ok, I agree with you but I think Joel Obi is capable of benching some players in the 14 man list. However, I hope he is injury free and prove himself.

Promising Nigerian right-back Nura
Abdullahi may travel with the Roma squad
for their Champions League meeting with
Chelsea at Stamford Bridge next
Wednesday, October 18.

The Football College Abuja product was
sighted training with the Giallorossi first-
teamers on Thursday morning, fueling
speculation that he may travel with the
Italian club to the English capital next
week.

Abdullahi only resumed training with the
capital outfit this week as he had been
undergoing rehabilitation after suffering an
injury to his right leg in August.

Roma coach Eusebio Di Francesco rates
the youngster highly, so much so that he
has included the defender in his
Champions League roster and on the List
A for that matter.

Towards the end of September, Abdullahi
signed a contract extension, tying him to
Roma until June 30, 2021.

He was named on the bench for Roma's
opening game in the Serie A against
Atalanta on August 20.

Sarenren Bazee Pushing

Hannover 96 German-Nigerian forward Joel
Noah Sarenren Bazee is back in training after
missing the last two months due to an injury
picked up during one of their pre season games.

Bazee has had a running battle with injuries the
last 18 months, and same demon reappeared
during Hannover 96 4-1 pre season win over
Germania Egestorf-Langreder.

He limped out of the pre season tie in the 71st
minutes and test conducted by the club later
confirmed he will be out for at least three
months with a ruptured tendon.

The injury has so far kept him out of this
season games for the newly promoted
Bundesliga side, but he is now on the way to
regaining full fitness and possible a debut for
Nigeria.

Owngoalnigeria.com checks on the team
training session can reveal that the 22 year old
took part in light training on Tuesday and
Wednesday as he continue to work his way to
full fitness.

Known for his explosive pace and abilities to
trade good passes, he trained alongside the
team physiotherapist and didn’t show any sign
of discomfort during the session.

Honestly i thought 75% of the present squad w make it but am thinking otherwise now.

In our last match we have Iwobi, Aina,Iheanacho, Musa,Agu,Awaziem, Etebo, Akpeyi, Ajiboye, Agu,Agbo,Nwakaeme on d bench, out of these i w pick Iwobi,Iheanacho, Aina, with first eleven meaning we are having 14 likely players to d WC,9 slots still for available for any players who can prove himself.Pls my opinion o

My 14 players

1.Mikel Obi capt

2Ogenyi Onazj asst capt

3.Victor Moses

4.Elderson Echiejele

5.Leon Balogun

6.Ekong Troost

7Winifred Ndidi

8.Alex Iwobi

9.Odion Ighalo

10.Shehu Abdullahi

11.Kelechi Iheanacho

12.Simeon Moses

13.Ike Ezenwa

14.Ola Aina.

The remaining 9 slots are for grab with these 19 players and any Nigerian born players home or abroad.

1.Ahmed Musa must show he is still d same player of 2014 WC and only way out he must change club by Jan or else is out of d team 70/30

2.Awaziem must show he is ready for national team, South Africa match still a reference point, though he is having a good run in his club, likely to make it 70/30

3.Mikel Agu not yet convincing but Rohr believe in him,had a very difficult match against Zambia 70/30

4.Oge Etebo a good midfielder but since South Africa match he is finding it difficult to have a look at by Rohr 70/30

5.John Ogu a very experience midfielder who always in d team but finding it difficult to break into XI. 50/50

6.Uche Agbo a versatile player who can play CB or DMF but not yet not yet tested but surprisedly always making d team 50/50

7.Daniel Akpeyi trusted in d absence of Ikeme but lost his position to Ezenwa due to injury still receiving d knock for his below performance against South Africa 80/20

8.Nwakaeme a surprised call prior to Cameroon and he has been with d team since,a good striker but still await his debut 40/60

9.Dele Ajiboye one of d best keeper in d NPFL league.A deputy to Ezenwa during WAFU Cup,kept against Guinea with calmness and played d ball on d ground with his defender, with lack of availability of world class keeper in d team,he can pull a surprise 30/70

10.Dele Alampasu a young and promising keeper, he has always be with d team but was put on standby against Zambia, normally with sentiment he suppose to be on d train to WC coz he is for d future depends on Rohr choice. 40/60

11.Brown Ideye a forgotten player he was part of d starter and had a good match against Zambia but still looking for another call up since Algeria match. 30/70

12.Kenneth Omeruo one of d most experience defender in d team,he started d campaign with d team but not yet forgiven for his holla against Zambia, hope he rediscover his form, still very much rated by Rohr 60/40

13.Anderson Esiti a powerful midfielder who came in as 2nd half substitute against Zambia in Lusaka but not getting call again since Algeria match. 30/70

14.Ebuhei a young and promising player who need to pledged his allegiance to Nigeria instead of Holland, still waiting for his debut game but still in Rohr plan. 50/50

15.Kayode Olarewaju a very good striker who won d best Austria player of d year before signing for man city and loaned to Girona. He had a comeo appearance against South Africa, hope he get another call 30/70

16.Vincent Enyeama a reputable keeper who has seen it all, highly rated by Nigerians, also highly rated by Rohr.No doubt we lack highly rated keeper and everybody see Enyeama as d solution. The major concern is Enyeama form, just coming back from injury and presently no club..Hope he fix this by January so that he can be available for selection. 50/50

17.Aron Samuel got a surprised call against Cameroon and replaced injured Iwobi in d squad but later dropped from d squad but base on form he shouldn't be near national team, likely Rohr see something good in him 30/70

18.Tammy Abraham a young and prolific striker, highly rated by England and also wanted by Nigeria.Hope things sort itself out in coming months 50/50

19.Nosa Igiebor I know a lot have forgotten him but he was part of early campaigner under Rohr but fizzled out and made a statement that he cannot be a training material. I don't think anybody even Rohr himself remember him. 10/90

Special tribute to CARL IKEME.He made it possible for our qualification,he keep us in d race, anytime i looked back, his performance against Zambia always make me happy, he dived, punched, saved us from defeat, hope everyone remember that goal line saved. This great guy made us to forget Enyeama coz he came into d team as a world class keeper, settling down without issue

When we taught we have seen a capable replacement and real time to see d best of him, sickness came, still on d sick bed looking strong and with strong belief that he w survive it IJN

Carl Ikeme still remain part of d team,d wish of every Nigerian is for u to be part of d team and so shall it be coz u are a warrior and all Nigerians hold u highly for this great qualifications.

Thanks CARL IKEME, guys here wish u quick recovery.
Wow! You just took the bull by the horn by listing the 14 players that should be considered in the team list and listing players that must fight the remaining slots.

However, there are some players you didn't include on your list.

Players like Joel Obi, Onyekuru, Abdul Ajagun, Dennis Bonaventure, Cyriel Dessers, Peter Olayinka, Taiwo Awoniyi, Josh Onomah and Brain Idowu.

And I think Joel Obi should be added to your 14 man list.

Please, forget Nosa Igbiebor, Aaron Samuel and Kenneth Omeruo.

Tactically, except we are fooling ourselves, Rohr is an average Coach. He's a kinda Coach that so much believe in Players discipline and commitment on the Pitch.

A kinda Coach that would psyche up his Players to get the job done anyhow they deem fit. If we really wanna excel in Russia, I think a tactically sound Assistant Manager needs to be hired to replace Salisu Yusuf.

On the Players selection for the World Cup; I think the List made by Forgiveness is almost perfect, except Ezenwa should replace Akpeyi, and Ogu makes way for Ajagun. Onazi, Ndidi, Agu, Joel Obi, even Mikel Obi and Etebo can play either DMF or CM, hence at least a natural AM is needed in the Team.
