terzurum5: Everton Rising Star Lookman Not Thinking About Nigeria – I’m Happy Representing England
https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/image-68.jpg
Everton rave of the moment Ademola Lookman says he is happy representing the English national team, in his first interview since his goal scoring debut in Everton’s 4-1 thrashing of Manchester City.
According to online reports there has been interest from Nigeria on holding talks with the talented 19 year old, who has represented England at various youth level to switch to Nigeria at senior level, but it appears those speculations are way off the mark.
Lookman on his part, while speaking on what prepared him for the goal scoring debut he had, pointed out the experience he had with the English youth team as one which prepared him for life in the Premier League.
” I have progressed a lot the last few years, I have a very sweet experience at Charlton, learning and working my way up, which I believe is why am at Everton”, Lookman said.
” Playing for England U19s has also helped my career a lot. It got me exposed and there’s a whole joy that comes from playing international football, something I experienced with England”.

With all the support, Nigerians are humiliated by even those she helped. Travel out and tender your passport at these same fellows we helped and see how they disdain and humiliate you. |

Debra911: Good to know that, I support in some sectors you've mentioned here, especially the educational sector not only in Ibadan, most western states has standard educational background compared to some States in Nigeria but wen u talk about business both nationally and internationally stadium, its d Igbo's no doubt. Wen u talk about stadium, I really don't know if you've visited the Akwa Ibom stadium by Gov.Akpabio, wat about the Obudu ranch in Calabar with the coolest weather and some large commercial centres in Onitsha, port harcourt ,Aba(they produce shoes and bags); they produce weapons too, I want u to make research about the weapons and armored tanks used in fighting the civil war, they were not imported , they were produced by the Igbo's, Imagine 1960's. Also in technology Igbo's are good, have u heard of 'Innoson motors' Igbo's have entrepreneurs, any lucrative environment is exposed to development .I won't start mentioning all cos I dont have all day. One fact I want you to know is that, Ibadan has the largest landmass in West African, so yes u should av those varieties u've listed. But I'll also want u to visit some SE &SS states and see for yourself because We can keep arguing this all day but won't conclude on anything. it just like someone telling me kano & Kaduna has d largest commercial centres more than some South western states I can't argue because I avnt bin to Northern states and see for myself, forget about the false statistical calculations. First of all, is Cross River and Akwa Ibom part of South East? Secondly, There are more and better stadiums in the South West than the South East. Thirdly, when it comes to business, it depends on the type of business. I don't think SE is better than SW in terms of business else SE should have had more billionaires and reputable companies than SW but that is not the case. Though SE is better in petty trading and business. Fourthly, I don't think SE is better than SW in technology but if you think otherwise show me innovations from there. Every tribe in Nigeria can produce weapons. Lastly, I know SE has good cities like Enugu, Owerri, Abakaliki, Onitsha and Umuhia but SW has more cities than SE cities. Lagos, Ibadan, Abeokuta, Akure, Agbara, Ota, |

doctokwus: So Adeboye is now the church of God?Funny lots. Some of u pple av not read d intentions behind the FRC law and u jump to conclusions and pass judgement. Enelamah took a stand based on what i bliv is an affiliation to one of d churches or pastors that wud be affected.Obazee took a stand based on realities of d day, that many churches are now run more like family bizs than strictly charity based organisations.PMB,not surprisingly, without seeking better clarity, and without deep thought and analysis of all issues involved, sacked a man for just being professional. How many of those who went against his directive on not padding d budget has he sacked?None. How many of those in his inner cycle that av gone against his much hyped anticorruption fight has he sacked?None! Government should stop meddling in sensitive issues like religion. It is very dangerous. Well, 2019 is not too far to correct the wrong. |

buchibrand: Now let me address this ignorance and some misleading comment here.
Its unfortunate that even Christians are ignorant of the word of God and heaven's standard(not surprised though). 1. Pastor E.A. Adeboye has not resigned as the spiritual leader (GO) of RCCG 2. He only obeyed the law of the land which the bible encourages him to do. 3. A SPIRITUAL LEADER MUST NOT and SHOULD NOT RESIGN, there was no precedents to back that up in the bible. Moses, Eli, Samuel, Elijah, Elisha, Peter, John, Paul they all preached the gospel till they died. The only difference with true spiritual leaders is that God tells them when their journey is up, so they hand over before they go (Eg. Elijah to Elisha). Joshua was the only spiritual leader who went to rest (resign) and at the end, God showed him so many land (Souls) left to be conquered (won to God).
4. Daddy Adeboye is yet to hand over, just wait for him to die without putting his house and church in order before you conclude that he's not a true Son of God. So that should he end his journey gloriously, handing over to that "man in the beer parlour" he spoke of, and who will do greater things for God and mankind than he has done, you will not be like those jews who regretted their deeds (comments, actions, utterances) when Jesus was glorified on the cross.
Let God Judge his called, but if you think ministry work is easy and enriching, please go start yours. And if you think paying of tithes and offering is bad, stop giving or stop going to church. Chose today to either be a heavenly minded, bible reading, understanding and practising Christian or join other faith.
Jesus is TRUTH and only the TRUTH can make you FREE. So, if the laws of the land says Imam must be the head of the Church, it is the will of God? |

We wait and see as the drama unfolds If Buhari wants to make a law for Nigerians then no body or bagger should be exempted including SULTAN of the North. I think this Buhari thinks he is smart ba or he thinks the army is on his side. |

neighbourhud: What are you saying... This is just in the papers but in reality, it is meant for churches alone. Now tell me, the Sultan is the 'head' of all Muslims in Nigeria and with such right, he declares when any Islamic festival should hold etc. Does it mean he has that right only for 20yrs even if he is still alive and occupies that throne? It means Sultan must give up the position of the 'head' of Muslims in the North. |

ianSweet: Education is everything indeed, the place where Nigerian law misses it is by not enacting a law to penalize parents whose children are not in school. Kudos to Kenya for enacting such laws. U see, let me tell u one problem with Nigeria is that people try to tribalise or religionise everything. The cultural difference and mentality between the christian south and the muslim north is just too wide that i sometimes wonder if we could ever make it to the top in one piece. If a southern legislator for instance request for such a law to be established, u will just need tk see the way many bigoted northern muslim legislators, traditional leaders and masses will vehemently oppose such, claiming that such law does not apply to their religion and that western education is not compulsory in their religion. Our legislators have tried to place a law of 18 years and above for any girl to be married, but northern muslim legislators opposed it. Infact it's just terrible.
In some tribes and towns, the Kingship laws somehow has more power than the secular laws, not necessarily constitutionally but due to fear and intimidation. This is more common in the south.
Take for instance, i visited a city WARRI in the south and it was a working day not a public holiday, but to my surprise all the business places were closed that day and i inquired, only for me to be told that a chief and not even the king was to be buried on that day, sometimes it may be due to a tribal festival, kingship coronation or what have you, and everyone in the confines of the chiefdom or cultural territory just has to obey it, if you don't, you may not be able to withstand the harrasment or even survive to tell the tale and if u think the court will fight for you, u are wasting your time.. Where in the South? I hope you know about customary Laws. http://martinslibrary..com/2014/08/customary-law-characteristics.html |
