V8, That exactly what I am suggesting!!!!

However, I stated that this brand of thinner has Toluene and Xylene only as ingredients and these are the main constituenets for Octane booster. I refer you to all the excerpts I pasted for you (with references) in my earlier postes on this thread. I did not say use paint thinner as there are so many other thinnners (even water is a thinner for emulsion paints) but use Toluene. And if you find a thinner wit Touene then all the best to you!!

I just bought a can of paint thinner!!!!

70% Toluene, 30% xylene!!! These just happen to be the active ingredients in octane booster!!!

For a cost of 1.2K I have enough "OCTANE BOOSTER " to last me a year!!!!!

my friend, if you (or your brother) are not a licensed agent I strictly doubt that you will have access to the vehicle during off-loading.

Second; if you car was routed through another African port before Lagos, then there is very high chance that it will be vandalized before it ever get to Lagos. So you need to confirm this.

Having done these, you need to get to your agent. The agents have their people and understand the games in the port. They can arrange for the car to be secured (that is if it hasn't passed through another port first)

You can check my thread (in the market for a 2005 look pathfinder) and know that I cleared the car by myself (that is my agent) It cost 400K I gave him 300 in advance and 100 as he delivered the car. The was as spotless as it was sent. So if you dont have a trust worthy agent, I can gladly recommend mine.

Tell me about 2004/2005 Audi A4 1.8T. How is the fuel consumption and availability of parts . I am falling in love already with the car.

I had a 1.8T passat. and it was not easy!!!

I love the car o!! Did almost 60K in 2 years with it but it showed me'

I lost all the valves(20 of them!!!) 8000km to the recommended timing belt change mileage when my belt cut!!! each new valve was 1.5K. every part I needed was easily got here in Lagos.

But on a sad note, I lost the turbo. Twice!!!

Still love the car though but it was not easy. I had to fly in the turbo cos I no wan hear story!!! First turbo cost my about 130K DHLed to my house, Second turbo cost me 85K cos I found a supplier in Italy. (Now as a rule, I alwasy have a spare turbo, my current diesel is on a new one and the spare is chilling. Why, I even have spares for the turbo and have rebuilt 2 for friends here in Lagos)

Fuel consumption was good for the power it delivered. I had the oomph of a V6 with the fuel consumption of a 1.8. (mor or less) What could be better. You shuld know that in general turbo charged cars require synthetic oil, so add 6.5k for mobil 1 every time you service the car.

I sold to car to a happy guy who failed to insure it and 2 weeks after he had finished payments, the car was stolen!!! never to be seen again. Thank God, I had already handed over everything to him.

Summary, get your cheque book ready. But in between writing cheques, you'll be smiling all the way.
