IslamCan A Muslim Work In A Brewery Or Tobacco Factory by fotodaddy(op): 9:03pm On Aug 19, 2008
I saw a similarly titled thread asking the question of Christians. So I wonder, can the Muslim folk educate and throw some light on this?? Can a good practicing Muslim work in a Brewery or a Tobacco factory??

Is there any place in the bible that categorically said that Jesus gave them alcohol? For all I know, it could be fruit wine.
ol boy you dey funny oo!!! Abiyou no know the meaning of wine?? If you like make you go read am for the Hebrew text if you no know. Jesus turn water to ALCOHOLIC wine. Therein in is the miracle.

Haba!!! over spiri!!! shocked shocked

debosky:
alcohol is now blamed for horniness  huh

I wonder what utter stupidity will be blamed on alcohol next. . . . . lack of manners?

once you pasteurize grape juice, then it is grape juice, simple and not wine. Only wannabe wine drinkers like yourself who still want to hold on to some sanctimonious claim of not consuming alcohol came up with this 'non-alcoholic wine' nonsense.
Infact make you show them dictionary, wey no sabi english!!!
Why we just dey take this kin matter dey play.

TravelRe: Places To Visit And Stay While On Visit To Nigeria by fotodaddy: 9:42am On Aug 19, 2008
Lagos might not be the best place for that. With the 3rd mainland bridge partially closed, all the go slow etc you might end up being in traffic with your kids instead of on holidays. If you were considering other cities then I could point you to a few nice places.

Nevertheless, there are still quite a lot of ok places to go out with your kids. Whats your budget like and where in Lagos will you be staying??

texazzpete:
What if the thieves strip down your vehicle after they've stolen it? Will the tracker help you out then?
I didnt even see that angle cos thats not something that happens here but you are right.

But My thinking is that in the Nigerian setting, will you place so much reliance on technology that itself relies on the GSM networks?? What happens when the network is down ?? No tracking thats what.

We just arent ready for this technology. It requires a lot more infrastructure.

All the same, @poster, I hope your car was insured. Thank God for mercies. Sorry OO

And just before any of your supercillous people start on me, i am not a 'loafer, unemployed looser, dropout or a yahoo yahoo fraudster'
PS: I have dropped by on the 'Jobs' sections on Nairaland to give advice and to see the pains unemployed graduates in Nigeria are going through. For someone to derisively sum these people up as 'unemployed loosers', it says a lot about a lack of refinement that 'too much money' cannot purchase.
AND NOW

texazzpete:
Funny enough, you make some pretty valid points.
I took time out to read all four pages, and i see now that there have been instances where people have been abusive.
the guy deserves commendation for his efforts, no doubt. It's about time we had this stuff in Nigeria.
Finally the day is dawning!!!

Try to know persin before you summarize am say "na too much money dey cause am". Remember say na grass you dey chop oo!! grin
Car TalkRe: Quack Tracking Companies In Nigeria by fotodaddy: 12:00pm On Aug 18, 2008
A realy sorry about your experience. I hope the car was comprehensively insured??

I, for one, am really not interested in this tracking rubbish. My own way of looking at it is that I do not want a recovered car!! So the only solution is to have comprehensive cover. With that its not my business if the car is recovered or not. And I even get the opportunity to get a new car!! grin

BUt all the same, sorry oo!! embarassed

Go to your mechanics. So many things could be responsible; wheel balance might be off, wheel alignment might be off, even uneven air pressure!! what ever the case, it could lead to trouble for you if it gets worse unexpectedly.

Landis, be sure that this is not the last time we will be doing this. In fact we do this as often as possible. Not sure yet about next week but watch this space and we'll see.

Na wah for black man shocked shocked

I just read through this whole thread and I am so sad at the way our people think.

First it was the the monogee person. He promptly disappeared when he was show how much of a liar he is. But then the skeptics and 'fool' no dey finish.

yemmy, my suggestion is forget this site and this thread (just like siena said). Most of the people on this site a university dropout, loafers, unemployed loosers and yahoo yahoo fraudsters.

You have done enough to show what you have and people will see it and get to you if they need it.

I and a couple of other guys went though quite some interesting ordeal, being called all sorts of names cos we wanted tomake things transparent. I for one even started getting hate mail. It just isnt worth the time.

Keep on doing what you are doing. Pretty sure that pretty soon I will be visiting our office for some maps. I am even reommending your services to a couple of my friends who need maps.

Stay on top and all the best.

Teejay, we all meet up at Micheal's on the island (its the joint opposite ocean view restaurant) for 11-1130 am and should set out at 12. A tow rope is not a bad idea although we have some in the group. Water, Plastic slippers, some dough for food (or you can come with your own food) a camera is also a nice idea. Come with a friend (but not your pregnant wife as she will not really like it as you fly over the bumps !!! sad) sadBut most of all come with a good sense of humour and an adventurous spirit.

See you all tomorrow. grin grin
