The solution is not a ban on okada but educating people. I have said this before, the taste of the pudding is in the eating. For you to know the real position of things stop an okada man and get his view. Go to the hospitals and see things for yourself. More people are in the emergency wards from car accidents than from okada crashes. Yes I agree that they ride without regard to other road users but so do the typical molue and trailer drivers. These people need education. no banning!! If we had a system in place where people are penalized for breaking traffic laws, then you will see the okada's behaving. And not only them but even the car drivers. What has a car driver running a red light, hitting an okada and breaking the man's legs got to do with the bad riding of the okada. I ride an okada and I will tell you, everybody wants to go to heaven but no body wants to die, Okadists included. But when we are in a place where anything goes, what do you expect. You would also beat the traffic light and in brak so many other rules if you knew that the risk of getting caught is very slim or negligible. So lets face the real issues. Not the symptoms of them. |
Why not try a forum search on yahoo or some other search engine. |
@dukeolumde unless joecooper na oyinbo then sley4life is spot on!! @joecooper The meet is usually every sunday at Micheal's, the restaurant/bar opposite ocean view which is beside Eko Hotel |
@ kuntash Office gave me a new one!! ![]() @Viperman The bid is open by my choice. Nairaland is not the place to be private or dont you agree. The highest bidder will know that he is the highest bidder. And so will everyone else who is interested. No wuruwuru or mago mago. But guys be sure, the car MUST go and it will go to the highest bidder!! |
BID UPDATE: inspired_m has bid 1.3M Kayode from PH has bid 1.4M Dont slack. This car MUST go by Friday at the latest to the highest bidder. ![]() |
Anyone who is serious about learning how to ride can contact me. oekanu@yahoo.com. After a few theretical lessons, you will be in a better possition to decide on if this is for you or not. Then what kind of bike and then what kind of gear and then riding. If you no get money for gear and you dey look for cheap bike then think again. If you crash on a 30K bike e better make your head dey inside 50K helmet than make your brains dey for ground. And this is for real!! ![]() |

My friend's Odyssey did exactly the same thing. Eventually it stopped changing gears and he had to replace the gear box. The "new" gearbox started the same behaviour anout 5000 km later. Now he is stuck again waiting for the gearbox to go again. Brace up for expenses!!! ![]() |

@Ivvie Too many words with too many meanings. Ivvie:If this comment is completely true, then how do you explain a diesel engine (vey high compression engine) which will always outlast a similarly sized (engine capacity) petrol engine ![]() I assume that you must be well schooled and grounded in book but you need to uderstand that you do not possess all knowledge. And the simple fact is that your statements are ambigious an misleading. The above quote is a typical example. I will not go further to prove to you what I have just said. Its up to you to come down to earth and, as we say in naija, "try to know person!!" @Middas02 You get time o!!! ![]() The answer to the question was stated very early in the thread. But some people don tif the thread wan show say na dem sabi book pass. And after all is said and done, dem contributions sef, person no fit use. A beg let matter rest jooo!! who no know go know! |
