You have to uninstall the old one and install a new one. When installing the new one just put the number you want your contacts to be seeing, in this case since you want to use your MTN, you have to put the MTN when they demand for a number. Note even if you want to use another network other than MTN in the phone you will be using for chatting, you have to put the MTN line you want people to see when when signing up. For example, if you are using Etisalat data plan, you don't have to put the Etisalat line when they ask for your number when signing up in whatsapp, just put MTN line you want your friends to see. I hope you Understand this!

Hello, I have done what you suggested but i realise i cannot use the whatsapp on my MTN as long as the GLO whatsapp is on.
I have been asked to hold on for 19hrs and then check back to add the 6digits number they sent me.

So I opened an account on whatsapp with my 3 lines but people only see the Etisalat I.D please why is that and how do I change it? Being that MTN is my major line and preferred whatsapp account. How can I make my contacts see that?
