Handsomejok: Before marrying my wife, my business was moving well. I had an appliances big shop with full of things. I made a lots of money monthly and was able to pay all my bills and take care of my single mother and siblings without fail.
Bbut since we got married, just two months and 5 days after our marriage, my shop caught fire. I have lost almost everything only managed to save some few things, had to pay for all the damages to my landlord (the shop owner ) I’m still owning him money and I’m now renting a small shop but things are not working.
I have so much debts to pay to so many people including my previous shop landlord, can’t afford a 3 square meals, can’t afford to pay house rent, can’t afford to pay my shop rent and we have moved to my parents house.
My wife is pregnant and due in April, we haven’t bought anything for the baby. I wish never met her in my life cos she has completely destroyed my life and I have nothing left. She is evil. Haven’t confronted her cos of her condition, don’t want to add more stress to her and am waiting for her to put to bed then I will confront her and chase her away. I will keep the baby with me so she can go with her child she had before we met. I just hate her so much and I want nothing to do with her anymore.
Please what do you suggest I do? What makes you feel your wife is responsible for your predicament |

Saltybear: I don't think it's just religion, I think it's a very serious toxic, chronic mental laziness found in Nigerians .
The white man gave us religion but doesn't think the way that person thinks .
Alot of Nigerians are just so indolent and mentally lazy that they can't just bestir themselves to think just for 2 minutes.
This is why imams and pastors use them as they please. They offer the average Nigerian what they seek, paradise without working for it in the form of readily available tickets on a first class jet to paradise if they do their bidding
Hence why despite all the mosques and churches evil thrives in Nigeria
It's not the fault of religion
But the inability of Nigerians to think watch it on YouTube, the white also see their dead loved ones in their dreams. Its very frequent with them |

Those who actually needs help are those living under the bridge, those that live in the ghetto, those labourers who do dirty jobs. Those who beg on the road side needs this gesture not this one's in the shopping mall. the Bible said those that have will be givrm more, those that don't have, the little they have will be taken from them |

solite3: smh, do you know what it means to be bornagain? I didn't come here to argue with you but to open your eyes. I've not just read the bible, I digested it from Genesis to Revelation several. The bible is something I can never get bored it. I listen to real men of God's preaching. I've read a lot of books, not just anyhow books, the likes of Kathryn Kulman, Smith Wigglesword, Kenneth Hargin, Gordon Lindsay, Robert Liadon etc even our local pastors like David Oyedepo, Pastor Chris Oyakhilomen and more. Everything I hear I weigh it from the scripture. Pastor Chris and other ministers even advise that, in other for one not to be mislead. I've read stories and also witness some of how people backslides and where warned to retrace their step. If you choose to hold unto your believe, I won't argue with you only that I pray for God to open your eyes is it won't be to late for you. You don't hold unto this believe, but you are misleading God flocks. As many as you have mislead, God will hold you accountable. Shalom |
Christianity Etc › Re: Can A Born Again Christian Lose His Salvation? by francesawesome(f): 8:43am On Dec 18, 2019 |
Ken4Christ: Why are you lying to your teeth? Are you telling me you no longer sin because you are born again? What about the news of even Holy Ghost filled Pastors caught in the very act. As long as you are in this physical body, you will still sin. The only difference is that you will not be comfortable in it and that forgiveness is available for you. But if you choose not to repent because of the pleasures of sin, you will go to hell and lose your salvation. So many Christians are in this category. They are living with the opposite sex they are not married to and even have children. 2 Corinthians 4:3 for a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. The Bible talked about it, so bro don't be surprise to hear men preach this way. All we need to do is either correct them in love, or pray for them to embrace the truth. |

Travel › Re: My Experience Living And Working In The UAE by francesawesome(f): 5:57pm On Dec 09, 2019 |
Champagnemami: I graduated some 7 years ago. I studied English education. Got done with the clarion call, and with as much fierceness and vigor I could muster, faced the labor market.
I started with Abuja. People had told me knocking on company gates could be more favorable than submitting applications on line. The rational was that sometimes there was just a single opening and the company would not bother to announce online. And so with my credentials and CV, I began my door to door job search.
It was that time of the year when the sun in Abuja was as extreme as the ice in Alaska, but I didn't relent When I remember those times, I keep asking myself if some few nuts were unscrewed in my head. I was living with my sis and her family at the time. She kept asking me to slow down but I no gree o . Maybe i thought if I suffered more, the blessing would come faster. And just like that it continued for the next 3 years - every year I would relocate to a different city in search of greener pastures. None of such moves yielded any tangible result. at some point of course I stopped the door to door.
My family could see the misery I was in and reached out. There were two options- go to the UK for a masters, or train to become a nurse. Care job is my 'hatest' job. So deep down I knew it was going to be a masters degree but after the degree then what? Return to Nigeria to face the same labor market?? Though this prospect seemed like a step up, it still wasn't a solution.
The powers that be, the ones footing the bills insisted I went for a nursing course since it was more lucrative. At a point i wanted to say I no do again but my Sis in d UK suggested I come see first and then I'll understand why nursing was it. And so I packed my kaya, headed for the UK.
One day, I had just finished from a campus tour at middle sex university and was just chilling in a cafe. I overhead some people talking about working in the middle east. There was this agency who was locally interviewing for the position of teachers in Dubai and how a CACHE certificate provided an edge. I was able to grab the name of the agency and looked them up online. By the next day, I had registered for a cache course sister I am also a graduate of English Education but I'm in Nigeria. Sis which way? |

sarqwest: Kindly approve to front page, please
Pls forgive my typographical errors.
Have been following nairaland since 2012 but fully registered 2015, I know some of you would have gone through what am going through now and each of your advises would be duly observed.
We are 3 in our family me my dad, and my elder brother who is also a graduate.
it all started wen I lost my mom to cancer 2016. she was a school teacher in one of the government school in abuja.
After her death we started following up her gratuity from Gov, God willing and thank God we were paid.
We decided to invest the money in schooling, which we decided to build a primary school in PH
I'm from Owerri but I have uncles from rivers state so we had the feelings that river state is a better option for the investement.
At least we have relatives there to show a good place to set up the school.
We went to our uncle's house who happens to be a Lawyer and narrated everything to him concerning a good land to Start up a school.
He told us he had a land for sell, we were happy because we felt he can't scam us.
We went through normal procedures concerning the land he wanted selling to Us.
Sorry not to have mentioned, my uncle came from a very respected and rich family so we handled everything with full assurance.
He then told us that 2 barristers (based in PH) are also involved in the land deal. That they own the land.
Since they were barristers, we consented.
So we paid 5million for two plots.
Though, the area wasn't that developed but they where few houses there, so starting up school there might be profitable
We started building fence and other important things that is ought to be done, in fact, all what we spent would sum up to 1.2million.
In the course of building, someone we don't know came and chase us out of the land, Saying the land belongs to him.
During this period, my dad tried to reach out to my uncle and the other 2 barristers to come and explain things to him but they were no where to be found.
He spent 2 weeks in PH without any sign from them nor results.
This is a year and three months we paid for that land and we haven't step into that land and no straight answers had been given to us.
We trusted him.
What annoys me the most is that he now pick our calls only when he feels like and no straight answer would still be given..
We have been avoiding taking the case to court because we fear it would last longer in court.
He told us to take him anywhere we like, that he will defend himself.
We don't need the land again, we want our money back cause what we have experienced so far is not what we bargained for.
I'm thinking of going to Brekete family (Human Right Radio) in Abuja to seek for solution
Note: My uncle is now based in Abuja but those two lawyers are based in PH.
Please my fellow nairalanders your advise are needed and any comment given would be very much appreciated, cause this totally look like we have been scammed.
Pls front page Oh God! So family member can be this wicked... |
