GPA5: WHY IS IT THAT EVERYTHING IS GETTING WORSE DAY BY DAY UNDER GOATLUCK'S REGIME?

Only one example please.NOTHING in this life is free.The handwriting has been on the wall a long time.Nigerians have an attitude of ENTITLEMENT and that explains partly why you see 27 year olds living at home with their parents collecting pocket money. We need less university education and more vocational TRAINING.
Are those people in universities better than those who learn trades? Does government contribute anything to the training of tailors,mechanics,Bricklayers,Vulcanizers etc How are those cultists in universities claiming to be studying economics and politics etc more deserving of government funding than those training as hairdressers and butchers or poultry farmers??
I believe that education should be free up to the age of 18 i.e secondary school or Vocational training.
University education of good quality cannot be free.We should not compromise quality because we want everyone to have it
This is how universities should work:
The universities should operate like a petrol station. No pay no admission
They should be stand-alone entities independent of government.
They should determine the actual cost of educating each student .Without this information we are deceiving ourselves.
Sometime people just refuse to look into the mirror because they are afraid of what they might see.
Having determined the cost we can now have a discussion about how to pay for it. That way the issue of underfunding universities will not come about .
Government will then declare how many students they can afford to pay for and how they are going to allocate those resources. Otherwise government forces universities to over-admit and we end up with students sitting on the floor and aisles.

Like as I have said and I will keep telling you, Anambra has the best road network traversing all parts of the state and not just the urban centers. Awka is among the few fastest developing cities in Nigeria today. Deal with it bro! Take your frustration elsewhere or go back to that your farmland and rural area called abakaliki!

The present Anambra Government House even beats some around but we are building a world-class one now in an expansive Greenwood City- Awka.

Did you just compare the Ark to the Pyramids?!

The Pyramids for starters was built by so many people.. The fact that their survey tools wey archaic, the principles they used are just also as acurate as the tools we have today. Infact, students of Geomatics Engineering study these ancient survey methods today in class in order for them to fully appreciate how we got here.


The problem here with Noah's story is not the fact that he was able to build a ship of that Magnitude in a time even before Moses (which means before the Pyramids as well as Egypt is a direct descendant of one of the sons of Noah according to the Bible), but the whole story itself..

The issues surrounding the number of people it allegedly took to build the Ark according to the Bible (because everyone in the town _{Which I imagine couldnt be that plenty} all called Noah a Drunkard), the fact that Noah was said to be 600years old and his sons over 100 years (And Methuselah who was alive at the time was about 1000 years old) at the time..

The gathering of all Animals from the entire world which first of all is a feat on its own, howhe managed to cater to that many number of animals for 1 year, how a ship of that size even stayed afloat with that number of cargo is another matter, How he catered to Fresh water fishes (which couldnt have possibly survived in the sea as it were, How he managed to keep animals like the Penguins, Grizzly bears and other animals that only survive in cold regions cool, how he was able to contain the insects like Mosquitoes and co (some of which have a life cycle that is very short), e.t.c..

The whole story sounds like a myth.. The ages of the Characters involved alone gives it away..

the earths landscape wasn't different 6000 years ago. . .Mount Everist alone is over 60 million years old according to scientific dating. . .The mythical flood did not create any ajor mountain any where. . .Most of the major mountains are millions of years old according to scientist. . .I told you in another thread that people were living and writing their own histories in places like china, india, egypt and south america uninterupted 6000 years ago. . .There is no evidence what so ever to show that the earth was once flooded, its just a jewish myth and fairy tale, many christians know this and are now saying that the flood was a local flood and not a global one. . .There is NO evidence for a global flood any where. ..

The Nigeria Police Force is not been left out in the wind of FRESH AIR blowing across the country. Here are some of the developments in the Nigeria Police in the last 2 years:

1. Complete rehabilitation of the Police College, Ikeja, Lagos.

2. Dismantling of police road blocks nationwide. Over the years, police road blocks became an avenue for corruption, and harassment of citizens. Some innocent citizens have even lost their lives from trigger happy police officers at police road blocks. This govt has now dismantled police road blocks and replaced them with motorized patrols and in some cases temporary observation posts.

3. Procurement of about 2,000 patrol vehicles. These patrol vehicles replaced the police road blocks.

4. The marine police have been empowered with patrol boats

5. Introduction of police camouflage uniforms. Unlike their counterparts in other parts of the world, the Nigeria Police didn't have camouflage uniforms.

6. Procurement and deployment of 13 helicopters to boost the flying wing of the police. Helipads are being built in geopolitical zones to facilitate the use of these helicopters.

7. Establishment of police intelligence schools. It is shocking that this never existed.

8. Upgrade of the police intelligence departments. The Nigeria Police Force now has the capacity to listen to phone conversation of criminals.

9. Increased partnership of the police with sister security agencies.

10. Creation of Police Museum.

11. Increased training and re-training of police officers.

12. The police now has its own in-house pension fund. The is to ensure more efficient settlement of entitlement of retired police officers.

13. Construction of modern police housing estates. The first modern police housing estate, the 200-Units Goodluck Jonathan Housing Estate, was commissioned in July 2013. Another 80-Units, the Sunday Badang Housing Estate in Abuja, was commissioned in November 2013. Late sergeant Badang died in an explosion in February 2012 whilst trying to defuse an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Kaduna. These Housing Estates are meant to improve the standard of living of the Nigeria Police officers.

14. Establishment of the police mortgage bank. This is also geared towards better welfare for officers of the Nigeria Police Force.

These and many other internal measures have led to improved performance of the Nigeria Police Force and better security in most parts of the country.
