NwanyiOkpa:
It has finally ended in praise for me. God bless Frankrobbn, Justmellow, and the many others that have been giving me hope and answering all my plenty of questions. Note that I used an agent or my application because i was too busy with work to continually study the tips on this thread and apply them. I am a second-time applicant.

Timeline:
January 20th: Medical done
January 27th: Application submitted with all NSE requirements- Sponsor's 1-year Mybankstatement of about 11million, IELTS result with 7.5 band, and Medical result.
February 20th
February 26th: Second ghost update
March 4th: Third ghost update
March 9th: Fourth ghost update
May 4th: PPR and correspondence letter

Reason for the first refusal: They said that my finance wasn't sufficient even after i submitted an account statement of 12million and paid my first-semester tuition.

How i tackled the refusal: I paid the full tuition for the first year, provided the sponsor's account statement of 11million and i also made a notarised affidavit of sponsorship signed by my sponsor. I did not use a notarised affidavit of sponsorship in my first application but i used an affidavit from the high court. A friend advised me to use a notary lawyer for my affidavit and so far, everyone that i know that used a notary lawyer was approved. Notarised documents are recognized worldwide.

Documents submitted:
All IMM forms
Tuition payment receipt CAD$21,000
notarised affidavit of sponsorship
notarised affidavit of good behavior
police report
IELTS result
medical slip
letter of explanation
passport photograph
data page of passport
sponsor's birth certificate (sponsor is my brother)
CAC document for my business
Employment letter
Recommendation letter

NOTE: I used an agent for my application. There are a few agents that knows what they are doing. My agent did not hold back my login details like other complained about.

I got admitted into about 7 schools in the USA also but I decided to go to Canada for reasons best known to me.

God wey do am for me go do am for una.

I am so excited. As i dey type sef, my fingers dey shake. Immediately i logged in and saw that my application has been updated i was like; "these people with their ghost updates again" before i clicked on the application and saw my correspondence letter and PPR. I immediately ran and woke my dad from sleep to break the good news to him. He has always been supportive.
Congratulations @NwanyiOkpa, I'm happy reading from you today that your visa has been approved. Your resilience and passion to attain your desired goals are admirable. I wish you nothing but success.

POF: My Father is my main sponsor and supported me with his bank accounts in Nigeria. I also used myself as co-sponsor to add the small small change I have managed to raise for the past year. I totalled the sum and broke it down bit by bit in my study plan. I created a TOC too.
* Letter of sponsorship.
* Affidavit of sponsorship.

What is your current CRS after updating your IELTS results on your EE profile?

Hi fam,

Can an applicant go through the NSE route with a fully funded MSc/PhD program? Application has been submitted but a letter came asking for IELTS result and mybankstatement certificate? The thing school is covering tuition and living expenses? Should I just ignore the letter or reply to them that I’d be going through the regular route?

Thanks
You should respond to the letter by stating clearly that the applicant is fully funded and as such doesn't require to provide mybank statement certificate for his study permit application. Attach relevant documents which pertains to the funding from the University and the supervisor. As for the IELTS, you should evidently indicate that English proficiency is not a requirement as stated on IRCC for study permit application. Provide strong justifications about your academic background and your intended research area in Canada. Your application will be processed through the regular route. If you've not done your upfront medicals, endeavour to do so as soon as possible.

I'm really sorry I keep stressing you people here. I'm just trying to get everything together ASAP.

For the proof of funds, my parents are paying my fees and I'm obviously unemployed. How many of these do I need to submit then?
your bank statements for the past four months
a bank draft in convertible currency
pay stubs
an employment letter
proof of assets or business
proof of payment of tuition and accommodation fees
tax reports, declarations or statements
proof of a student/education loan from a financial institution
a letter from the person or institution providing you with money
proof of funding paid from within Canada, if you have a scholarship or are in a Canadian-funded educational program
proof of a Canadian bank account in your name if money has been transferred to Canada

There is a family member representative form. I'm the one doing practically everything and the visas are being submitted via my account. Do I get my mum to sign under this form appointing me as the representative?

Then for all these forms they gave me to fill, Adobe is saying I can't save changes to some. Does that mean I have to print, fill and then scan them? For the signatures as well, do I need to print and sign then scan?

Thank you all so much for your patience you're so kind.
See my responses below;

1. A bank statement showing inflow and outflow of funds for the past six (6) months should suffice. Also, include a MyBank Statement Certificate containing the ticket ID and password duly addressed to the Canadian embassy for verification. Please note that you're to include relevant documents which demonstrates your sponsor's source of income, the list of documents can be found here;

LIST OF DOCUMENTS FOR A SUCCESSFUL STUDY VISA APPLICATION

2. You don't require a family representative form if you don't have an accompanying minor in your application.

3. You're not required to print, scan or sign any of the Canada immigration forms. Upon successful uploading of documents into their respective columns, you will be prompted to use your full name as written on your international passport to electronically sign and transmit the documents to IRCC for due visa processing.

I hope this information satisfies your inquiry.

Hi everyone,
I'm just rounding up my first bsc (Law), and I'm about to submit my study permit application for a second bsc in Cruminology. Will it be an issue for me? Will I be granted visa for a bsc studies when people usually go for a masters?
Also, I don't have an official graduate transcript because we are not done, what do I submit?
To make things easier for you and to demonstrate academic progression, I would advise you to go for a Master's of Law (L.L.M) program if you graduated with a 2.1 CGPA. A second degree will be a very herculean choice to opt for at this point in your career.

Pinkey2021:
Let me officially introduce myself.

I’m not very new although I’m new!

I’ve been lurking in the backgrounds of Nairaland since early 2020 after I submitted my first application. And my! Have I grown since then.

I first heard about this place from a Nigerian-Canadian YouTuber sometime mid 2019.

After my first application, I became an active reader and soon realized the mistakes with my application. Even before the refusal came I knew I would be refused because my application was just rubbish

But since after the delay, I’ve read and learned a lot from the gurus and expert here starting from as far back as thread 13! I became an active reader from thread 15 till date.

I’ve just reapplied after all the life changing nuggets that I gleaned from gurus like @frankrobbn1 @justmellow and some other very old names I can’t mention now.

I was in the background live when @Luckymama @fratermathy and the rest were here doling out advices and tips. I even remember when @Lekiboboe joined and asked his first question And today he’s a guru of repute even though he would want us to believe he’s not. My brother only God almighty will reward you for all your efforts and time given to this thread.

Here’s my timeline as it stands now:
First Application: April 25, 2020
Biometrics: Sept 24, 2020
BVL: Sept 25 2020
Refusal: Sept 26

Second Application
Deferred program to Fall (Sept), 2021
Upfront Medical: Feb 25, 2021
Submitted: Mar 4, 2021 with MBS
Background Check: Mar 5, 2021

On 11th Mar (7days after I applied, I realized I mistakenly opted ‘NO’ to that infamous question about if one has been denied Canadian visa or any other country visas before. I quickly filled out a new e1294 form with the correct info and sent via webform. At the same time I sent a very compelling email to all the IRCC email addresses individually, pleading with them that it was an honest mistake.

Only Beijing and Edmonton I think responded that they’ve received my new form and updated my application with it. The email also assured me that my application is still being processed.

So, that’s where I am currently in my journey. I decided to become active by rendering solutions to the best of my knowledge and capacity to anyone who requires it. I’m not a guru though. I’m just someone whom Nairaland Canada visa thread has helped a great deal.

{It’ll Surely End in Praise for Us All}
Frankly speaking, we need more capable individuals to assist in helping others actualize their Canadian immigration objectives. No one started off as an expert, your consistency in researching for more information and commitment to the process makes you become one. Given the bold step taken by you to update the IMM1294E, I am optimistic that your file will be favourably considered by the immigration authorities.

Keep the house posted on the outcome.

It will be extremely difficult to convince the immigration officer that you're in fact a bonafide applicant who intends to reunite with his spouse in Canada. A lot of documents are required for Spousal Sponsorship application, which I have enumerated in my previous post. More importantly, IRCC are very thorough and meticulous with applications of this kind. There is a high possibility that failure to demonstrate the genuineness of your relationship with the Canadian, your application will be flagged for misrepresentation and a Procedural Fairness Letter will be served which might lead to a 5-year ban. In view of this, it is advisable that you seek a legal advice on how you can prepare your application and stand a chance of getting a positive outcome.

I have been a silent reader.

I got my PPR on 22/4/21.

My timeline is as follow
Submitted application: October 2
NSE request: Nov 17 but I ignored it.
Medical request: Did upfront medical on January 7th,
Had slight delay in uploading the medical slip then medical request came in January 14.
So I used the upfront medical.
Got AIP: January 21.
The wait began: the longest wait of my life because I was told to go for extra test which is after 90 days.
Did the second test (x-ray and sputum test) in April 8.
Medical passed in April 14.
Correspondence letter in April 21.
PPR : April 22nd.

Present situation: Yet to submit my passport because I have less than 6months and Nigeria immigration are not kind enough because i applied for new passport since March 12 and I'm yet I'm recieve the passport. The love story from them is no booklet. What a blessed country.
Hoping to get the new passport soon.

Appreciation: All this could not have been possible without Jephephe who started the process and till date is still giving the necessary assistance to get the new passport soon.

The big masquared must be appreciated Frank Rueben.
Your touch and advice to my application cannot be explain here. God used you to help me achieve this feat.
Like you always said it truly ended in praise for me.
You made it possible.
I'll be coming back for the SOWP soon.

Please be advised that its normal for your son's approval letter to be sent via email correspondence and not through the regular CIC account. This is as a result of the initial request from IRCC to cancel the visitor's application and reapply for study visa for him. In view of this, you've absolutely nothing to worry about.
