I have paid about 40% of my tuition for a year. So presently, my POF is more than enough to cover the remaining tuition and the living expenses.
On the Application form, where I need to fill in my available tuition, Room and board and also funds available, how do I show the tuition I have already paid? Do I reduce it from the tuition? Or do I add it to funds available?
I am asking because the funds I have available now is not enough to cover the full tuition with my living expenses, so if the VO doesn't check my Application letter ( where I stated that I have already paid part of my tuition), he might think I do not have enough funds.

I have answered this question on several occasions. When filling your study permit application form, the column that ask about your tution should be filled for the first year tution fees, Room and board = 10,000CAD, Others = 2,000CAD. Funds available for my stay = the tuition deposit plus the funds in your account and the amount your sponsor is committed to give to you for your studies.

Is it advisable to seek to renew ones passport if it’s going to expire by June next year? I applied for my study visa recently for the Fall session and I think IRCC does not issue a visa beyond the validity of your passport. Would that mean applying for another Visa while in Canada? This is the major reason I want to renew the passport now.

Renew the passport in Nigeria if you've a good contact that will facilitate the process on your behalf and save yourself the stress of travelling to the Nigerian Consulate in Ottawa for passport renewal and applying for study permit extension.

Truthfully declare your previous Master's in your study permit application. It will help you considerably to cover up for your study gaps and affirm your unique thirst for practical knowledge. More so, you can explain to the visa officer why you're opting for a second master's instead of a PhD. You're right that both degrees are closely related, however, they have different specialization which is also a justifiable ground to convince the immigration officer. You should also state the career benefits associated with your proposed course of study and how it will increase your employment prospects after studies.

You can get a work permit/visa from Nigeria on the account that you've secured a valid job offer (LMIA/LMIA exempt) from a designated Canadian employer. Apparently, due to Covid-19 pandemic, it will be extremely difficult to secure a job from outside of Canada. Any job offer you may receive from anyone now, may likely be a fraudulent offer. I would suggest you tread cautiously.

How many months pregnancy is this please? Given that you're pregnant as at the time of your application, you will be exempted from having an X-ray test during your medical examination. This information will also be forwarded to the immigration officer responsible for the processing of your application. It might give the officer a negative impression that you're using study permit as a means to give birth in Canada rather than educational advancement. I believe the onus is on the visa officer who exercises his discretion on your admissibility to Canada.

please Polaris bank is claiming they do Mybank Statement, but canada is not included. I've been to several branches yet same story.

I use to know that Polaris Bank Plc is among the list of commercial banks that provides mybank statement certificate to her customers. You can generate this certificate via mobile banking app without visiting your the bank branch office.

Apologies for the late response. At the point of entry, you should provide a confirmation letter from your school which indicates that Work is a component of your program. The immigration officer will issue you a work permit at that point.

Age has no significant factor on his study permit application provided that he can rationally demonstrate to the immigration authorities that he is a bona-fide student and can adequately account for his study gaps through several of his educational achievements and professional certifications he has attained over the years.

You ticked No because work is not a component of your studies. Kindly refer to your acceptance letter to know if work practicum is required for your the completion of your program. On the account that you mistakenly filled the wrong information on your application, you can forward the evidence of work placement to the immigration officer and request that they should update it with your application. I don't believe that this should have any bad effects on your current application.

Do you've a registered business, you could claim that your business fetched you the large sum in your account. You should also include adequate proofs to further ascertain your claims. Alternatively, you may say the funds comes from the sale of a property, include the sale agreement documents and irrecoverable power of attorney. There are several ways to demonstrate the provenance of funds to the immigration officer. Do not make the mistake by stating in your application that you got the money from playing bets. Tag the money from a reasonable source as indicated above and your application will be approved.

Accept my congratulations for your application is as good as approved. As earlier advised in my previous post, the senior immigration officer is the one responsible for the final review. I am certain that the senior immigration officer has reviewed your file in its entirety and initiated a medical request. Should you order for your GCMS notes the second time, you will notice that the eligibility assessment must have changed from "Recommend Passed", which was the initial review to " Eligibility Passed"

We decided to use only my own statement, but just put his employment letter and pay stubs.
Is it okay?

You should include his bank statement even though its only for 1 month duration. The purpose of doing this is to show evidence that the money actually came from his account. Possibly, you can highlight the transaction date in red on his statement and that of yours. He should also provide a seperate cover letter duly notarized by a notary public officer stating his reasons for transferring such large amounts into your account.

Let's somebody shout hallelujah. Indeed what the Almighty God cannot do, does not exist. Out for the blues, BVL and PPR dropped today. I will share the full timeline soon. But now I have a small issue nairaland. In the PPR, they noted my passport must be valid for the duration of your expected length of stay in Canada.
• Please note that we cannot issue a visa beyond the expiry date on the passport.

My passport is to expire on the 2nd of March 2022. And my expected stay in August ending 2022. Please what should I do?

I would suggest you renew your passport and submit the renewed passport for visa issuance.

Never to worry about the current eligibility status of your application which indicates "Recommend Passed". The senior immigration officer who does the final review on every case file submitted to IRCC will make a decision on your file and initiate a Passport Request.

Can I use bank statement of someone outside the country for the NSE route?

Bank statement outside of Nigeria doesn't qualify for the NSE program. Should the immigration authorities of Canada requests for it during the processing of your application, you can advise them in writing that your sponsor is resident abroad and as such his/her bank statement is not eligible for the NSE program.

Any reason for him sending the full amount to your account? Given that he is your legitimate spouse, there is no need sending money to you when he is financially buoyant to finance your studies in Canada. It is highly recommended that you should provide his bank statement to demonstrate the provenance of the funds.

You apply for the both at same time when preparing your study permit application. There is an online questionnaire that ask if work is a component of your program, you're to tick YES and a column where you can upload evidence of work placement letter will pop up on your CIC account.
