kunbeeee: I have paid about 40% of my tuition for a year. So presently, my POF is more than enough to cover the remaining tuition and the living expenses. On the Application form, where I need to fill in my available tuition, Room and board and also funds available, how do I show the tuition I have already paid? Do I reduce it from the tuition? Or do I add it to funds available? I am asking because the funds I have available now is not enough to cover the full tuition with my living expenses, so if the VO doesn't check my Application letter ( where I stated that I have already paid part of my tuition), he might think I do not have enough funds. I have answered this question on several occasions. When filling your study permit application form, the column that ask about your tution should be filled for the first year tution fees, Room and board = 10,000CAD, Others = 2,000CAD. Funds available for my stay = the tuition deposit plus the funds in your account and the amount your sponsor is committed to give to you for your studies. It will end in praise |

owee: Hi Everyone,
Is it advisable to seek to renew ones passport if it’s going to expire by June next year? I applied for my study visa recently for the Fall session and I think IRCC does not issue a visa beyond the validity of your passport. Would that mean applying for another Visa while in Canada? This is the major reason I want to renew the passport now. Renew the passport in Nigeria if you've a good contact that will facilitate the process on your behalf and save yourself the stress of travelling to the Nigerian Consulate in Ottawa for passport renewal and applying for study permit extension. Tinakem: Please help me with what to do, l currently have Msc in Chemical Engineering and l got another offer for msc in process System Engineering, both degree are related pls should l include it in my application that l have msc before. Pls help me Truthfully declare your previous Master's in your study permit application. It will help you considerably to cover up for your study gaps and affirm your unique thirst for practical knowledge. More so, you can explain to the visa officer why you're opting for a second master's instead of a PhD. You're right that both degrees are closely related, however, they have different specialization which is also a justifiable ground to convince the immigration officer. You should also state the career benefits associated with your proposed course of study and how it will increase your employment prospects after studies. It will end in praise |

kasmilla: Can someone get 2yrs canadian working visa from Nigeria , Is there anything like 2yrs working visa for Canada please advise me You can get a work permit/visa from Nigeria on the account that you've secured a valid job offer (LMIA/LMIA exempt) from a designated Canadian employer. Apparently, due to Covid-19 pandemic, it will be extremely difficult to secure a job from outside of Canada. Any job offer you may receive from anyone now, may likely be a fraudulent offer. I would suggest you tread cautiously. It will end in praise |

haywhy0007: Good day all, please I have a question Does being pregnant affect getting a study visa?
Pls I need your advice/ response.
Thank you. How many months pregnancy is this please? Given that you're pregnant as at the time of your application, you will be exempted from having an X-ray test during your medical examination. This information will also be forwarded to the immigration officer responsible for the processing of your application. It might give the officer a negative impression that you're using study permit as a means to give birth in Canada rather than educational advancement. I believe the onus is on the visa officer who exercises his discretion on your admissibility to Canada. It will end in praise |

ajikaz2003: ###### LONG POST ALERT ######
It’s Testimony Time
Guys, I wish to share my success story in order to encourage others who have been delayed. First of all, I thank Mr. Frankrobbn1, Mr. JustMellow, Mr. Lekiboboe, and other contributors for their selfless services here. I also appreciate some people who have been trying to answer questions in the absence of the gurus, but most times your answers are wrong and misleading.
Secondly, I like to thank Mr. Frankrobbn1 again because he made efforts to ensure I get approved this time, after 2 previous attempts. He is truly a guru. From the choice of course, to choosing the University, including review of LOE & IMM forms, with covering all possible refusal technicalities in my LOE. I appreciate your help, Mr. Frankrobbn1, Almighty Allah will bless you.
1st Application - Online (Did it myself)
- Course: Post-Bachelor Certificate in Accounting. - School: University of Lethbridge, Alberta - Sponsorship: Self - Application submitted – October 9, 2019 - Application refused – November 6, 2019 - Refusal reasons: Family ties and Employment situation
2nd Application - Online (Done by a Canadian Immigration Lawyer)
- Course: Post-Bachelor Certificate in Accounting. - School: University of Lethbridge, Alberta - Sponsorship: Self - Application submitted – November 29, 2019 - Application refused – January 28, 2020 - Refusal reasons: Family ties and Purpose of visit - GCMS Notes: No evidence on file of PA’s acceptance to Master of Accounting as stated (VO made a mistake here and we pointed it out in the new LOE), and the Applicant’s plans of study appear vague and poorly documented.
3rd (Approved) Application - Online (With all NSE documents)
- Course changed to: Master of Management – International Accounting & Finance - School changed to: University of Windsor, Ontario - Sponsorship: Self - Intake: September 2021, but was changed to May 2021 while my application was in progress - Application submitted – February 10, 2021 - Submission confirmation – February 10, 2021 - Upfront medical approved – February 16, 2021 - Eligibility review started – February 17, 2021 - Ghost update 1 – February 24, 2021 - Ghost update 2 – February 26, 2021 - Ghost update 3 – March 3, 2021 (GCMS shows that LOA was confirmed this date) - New LOA for May 2021 – March 19, 2021, sent via IRCC & Kenya Webforms March 20 - Follow-up emails – Started March 22, 2021, twice a week to Kenya, later to London, and Beijing. - Email acknowledgement – Received once only from Kenya on March 22 with application still in process. I realized there are 2 types of acknowledgements: (1) Active review: if you receive this, then your application is not almost finalized yet, (2) In process: this means your application is in advanced stage. - Ordered GCMS notes (through a colleague in Canada, I think it’s faster this way) – March 31, 2021 - PPR & BVL Received – April 12, 2021 - Passport received by VFS Abuja – April 15, 2021 - Passport stamped and Counterfoil received – April 15, 2021 - UPS picked up passport – April 15, 2021 - LOI received – April 16, 2021 - UPS delivered passport – April 19, 2021 - GCMS received – April 19, 2021 - Application Visa Office: Nairobi Primary & Windsor Secondary, but application was finalized by Lagos. PPR & LOI came from Lagos.
BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE AWAITING GOOD NEWS Congratulations to you my honourable @ajikaz2003, I truly appreciate your kind words and prayers. I am glad that my expertise in handling complex immigration cases brought success to your student visa application after two refusals. Austin163: yawa don gas o. Please Frankrobbn1 I need more light on this. On that online questionnaire that ask if work is a component of your program, I ticked no and I have submitted since march 9th. What should I do? You ticked No because work is not a component of your studies. Kindly refer to your acceptance letter to know if work practicum is required for your the completion of your program. On the account that you mistakenly filled the wrong information on your application, you can forward the evidence of work placement to the immigration officer and request that they should update it with your application. I don't believe that this should have any bad effects on your current application. It will end in praise |

Ichabodcrane: since we are on it, Frankrobbn1 I got this money from bet9ja, how I wan take do my own sponsor? Do you've a registered business, you could claim that your business fetched you the large sum in your account. You should also include adequate proofs to further ascertain your claims. Alternatively, you may say the funds comes from the sale of a property, include the sale agreement documents and irrecoverable power of attorney. There are several ways to demonstrate the provenance of funds to the immigration officer. Do not make the mistake by stating in your application that you got the money from playing bets. Tag the money from a reasonable source as indicated above and your application will be approved. Let me know if you've further inquiry. It will end in praise |

Jideks: He sent it to my account because there are unexplainable lump sums in his account. We decided to use only my own statement, but just put his employment letter and pay stubs. Is it okay? You should include his bank statement even though its only for 1 month duration. The purpose of doing this is to show evidence that the money actually came from his account. Possibly, you can highlight the transaction date in red on his statement and that of yours. He should also provide a seperate cover letter duly notarized by a notary public officer stating his reasons for transferring such large amounts into your account. Do not leave any stone unturned!
