Onweke: Good day, I got a message to check my profile that my action is required. I saw request letter and when opened this is what I saw (Payment receipt required). You have an outstanding debt to the crown for previous immigration service rendered, processing should stop . kindly see attached. I paid and submitted for my student visa successfully. The application number on the body of the request letter is not mine. I am confused. What do I do ? @Justmellow @Frankrobbn @awys @lekiboboe @all
Thank you. Provide a detailed letter of explanation addressing the alleged concerns of the immigration officer. Your response to the letter should be well-worded and should highlight the fact that the application number stated on the request letter is wrong and doesn't have any correlation with the information present on your CIC account. Include the following documents with your response:1. Evidence of your application submission letter, 2. PDF screenshot of your CIC account while sighting your application number. 3. Detailed and concise letter of explanation. 4. PDF screenshot of Do not reply mail from IRCC after the submission of your file. I believe with this evidence on file, the immigration authorities will correct the mistake from their part. Ps: Please submit your response via IRCC official webform as well as the column provided on your CIC account.CC: OBANLABAMIDELE2It will end in praise |

sleekcheek: I took a piece of advice from here and sent a mail to a constituency member of the town where my school is located. I received a response from his office asking for details of my application and they assisted in making enquires to IRCC on my behalf. I got my PPR in less than 2 weeks after that. I don't know if it's a coincidence but I thought I should mention it. Congratulations on your approval. However, the successful outcome of your application is merely a coincidence as Members of Parliament of Canada do not have any impact to expedite the processing of one's application. The role of an MP within your jurisdiction is to seek for information/update on their constituent application. In some cases, they help with reconsideration process for applications submitted to IRCC. In all, please be advised that they don't have influence in one's application. It will end in praise |

Thanks. Your agent may be correct in a way depending on whether you've had an existing profile with IRCC. Application fee is 150CAD and Biometrics is 85CAD. How does MBS work? Do Visa Officers have access to "actual" bank balance anytime they log in? Or they only see what you submitted....thank you The visa officers have no access to the actual available balance after the mybank statement certificate was issued. The purpose of the my bank statement is to verify the authenticity of the transactions carried out in the account and the sitting balance as at when you submitted it. It will end in praise |

Breaking News : Canada Study Permit
Now, students will not be able to change the DLI/Institute after study visa approval.
Student has to lodge a fresh application for new DLI.
To know more about this information click on below link :
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/change-schools.html
@Frankrobbn1 @JustMellow
Kindly interprete this information to avoid any form of misleading & misinterpretation
Thanks You're certainly free to change your DLI from within Canada provided you've documents like Acceptance Letter, tuition receipts, confirmation of enrollment letter from the DLI you're transferring to. If you're outside of Canada and wants to switch to another DLI, you must provide a new letter of acceptance and may apply for a fresh study permit. To cut a long story short, its better to effect the change of DLI from within Canada. It will end in praise |

awys: In the pre-assesmeht notes all the points you raised were all marked to make sense read the VO's pre-assesmeht notes the last page of the GCMS notes my thinking is maybe a junior VO pre- assessed the Application to be good based on the notes the VO gave then a more senior VO reassessed it again and deli it's not okay by him or her cuz the pre-assesmeht is positive and cleared all the gray areas they finally denied her for so I don't understand IRCC ooo This is absolutely correct. Every application received at the Canadian embassy passes through the pre-assessment stage and later transferred to the Senior Immigration Officer for a decison to be made on the file. Its not possible for an immigration officer to start a file and complete it instantly. There are laid down regulations and procedures which governs the operations of the visa officers. MzMisty: Hello Guys,
If your pre-assessment report came looking good from your gcsm note but your application got denied, please what does it imply/mean?
Reasons:
* Purpose of visit
* personal assets and financial status
* Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more: your qualifications, previous studies, level of establishment, language abilities, or your future prospects and plans. Most of the time, it's the Program Case Analyst who does the R-10 check that often evaluates the pre-assessment report. This initial assessment does not in anyway guarantee the success of your application. Please be guided that it's the sole responsibility of the Senior Immigration Officer at the High Commission of Canada to give the final review and pass your eligibility assessment for study permit. In your case, after the review of your supporting documents by the responsible Senior immigration officer, he is not satisfied that you're a bonafide student who will pursue a post graudate certificate program in International Business Management from Canada and depart after studies. It will end in praise |

Now i want to apply for a SOWP for my spouse and VV for my two kids since they are under 5years to come along with me. Can i apply for her now? or i must get to canada before i do that? my spouse will use her job as home ties as we already applied for one year leave of absence is this feassible? as per the Proof of Funds shud it be in her account or in mine? presently i have 6m naira in mine and 1m in hers and i also have a graduate research assistant offer of 18k cad per year (10k from supervisor and 8k from dept) please advise accordingly. am asking becos i heard that i will need to attach my study permit to the SOWP application and the study permit would be issued at the point of entry. how far is this true please i need help From the wisdom of my vast experiences with several SOWP applications. I would prefer you land in Canada and file for your wife and kids to accompanying you. This will ensure that you've provided the necessary documents as per the IRCC checklist for every SOWP. You will be required to submit a copy of your study permit, SIN and proof of accommodation for this type of application. The regular study visa you've with you, is not sufficient for this purpose. If you had your way, it's better the proof of funds be shown in your wife's bank statement since she is the accompanying dependant in this application. You can also include the funding you've from Canada and the 6M to strengthen the application. I hope this information satisfies your inquiry. It will end in praise |

ooa1st: Thanks again boss.
I already applied for my own MBS and I got the code 2 weeks ago. Why I really don't feel upbeat about submitting it is because I only started building the account around August which is 8 months now & I have transactions in 7 digits all through these 8 months. As we all know MBS carries 12 months banking history, I am skeptical about the prior 4 months with very few transaction. Hope the VO won't consider the irregularities or sudden change in turnover?
But for my sponsor... No issues whatsoever.
So you suggest I do both or just his alone
Thanks I don't believe you should have any problem with your MyBank Statement Certificate. The eight months steady inflow and outflow of money is more than sufficient to prove to the visa officer that you're the bonafide owner of the funds in the account. In light of the fact that your bank account carries 7 digits all through these 8 months, its important you also include yours while responding to the NSE request. It will end in praise |

Teeteejii: Hi Everyone,
I wanted to find out if anyone has successfully dealt with a 5 year ban. How they addressed it and the process they took?
The 5 year ban was as a result of misrepresentation.
Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you. Getting a 5-year ban is not a capital punishment as the decision can be overturned by an experienced immigration attorney in Canada through the Judicial Review Process at the Federal Court of Canada. Although, an applicant has sixty (60) days window to fight through the JR process on the basis that the application was processed and a decision made outside of Canada. As a consequence, should it exceeds this stipulated period of time, you have no other option but to serve the 5-year ban. I hope this information satisfies your inquiry. It will end in praise |

Pee2Jay9: Patience isn't one of my virtues so I struggled with this process but I thank God it worked out eventually.
1st Application: Visit visa refused in 2018 Study permit application - 10th July 2020 GCMS notes - 21st September, stating absolute rubbish that didn't tally with my submissions, I'm self sponsored but they said I'll deplete family savings plus other crap they wrote. I started sending plenty webforms and emails, requesting that my application be reviewed as the assessment on the notes were very wrong, all to no avail Official refusal - October 2nd 2020. Reasons stated for me - family ties, personal assets, purpose of visit including travel history, lolz.
2nd Application - 16th October 2020 Upfront medical - 30th November 2020
NSE request for only ielts - 1st December. I replied next day telling them that I can't write cos I'm unavailable. Then I merged my LOE as to why I can't write + my medical sheet + tuition receipt of $2,500 to UoR and submitted in the column provided for NSE. I first used UoM LOA to apply but later adviced them to continue processing with UoR LOA since the previous admission was valid for only the winter term, no deferral. I haven't read of anyone doing this for an ongoing application and was strongly advised against doing it but I sent it anyway.
Medicals passed - 16th of December 2020. 17th March 2021 - IRCC finally replied one of my several emails (that processing has exceeded standard time) asking for ielts again. I had to promised them that I'll go and write it and send the upper week. IELTS exam - 27th March 2021 but then, I didn't know that BVL & PPR had dropped on 26th of March 2021 UPS 2-way courier to Abuja - 29th March 2021 Passport returned to me - April 2021
Documents submitted for both applications: All IMM forms In the Admission section, i uploaded: Admission letter, Correspondence with school and application receipts BEng certificate and transcript Certifications - COREN, NSE, IPMP, NYSC
In the passport section, i uploaded: International passport with visas to Singapore, UAE and Ghana Birth Certificate and LGA certificate Biometrics documents
Proof of funds section, I uploaded: myBank statement ticket, amount to tally with a table I created to show all funds required for the duration of my study My several Investments and pension accounts showing that the funds for my studies is only a percentage of my networth, all to prove assets and economic ties. Employer's Letter of introduction Payslips Tax Certificates Business agreements and Investment Certificates - I think some of these were unnecessary especially the FX investments.
Client info section, I uploaded: Table of content for documents , followed by LOE Age declaration documents for parents Birth certificates for siblings An inauguration brochure for my dad as ICAN chairman, that had pictures of my family members as professionals in different fields My personal land deed, survey and receipts Proof of car ownership, explained as assets Updated CV, Work ID card Congratulatory emails and awards from work, some had pictures from expatriate supervisors, an award from global Manager Employment history - all my promotion documents and offers from past and present
In summary, what I did differently was to only subtly rebut the previous reasons with same documents used for the first time (even the myBank statement was the old one I reused with no money in my UBA account sef, but I got a letter from Stanbic asset managers attesting my finances, and submitted SOA from 2016). I also paid $2,500 as part of my tuition, just to show commitment of some sort.
The Letter I wrote for the second application was termed LETTER OF RECONSIDERATION, telling the VO to refer to their error in the previous application and that I meet their requirements. I showed my POF budgeted as $50k (a % of my total) to cover the entire 2 years of my study - $15k tuition, $25k for living expenses & $10k flights and miscellaneous, as I'll be self sponsored. Home ties were parents, siblings and friends, Stanbic asset management Investment letter, UK-DION investment certificate to be receiving monthly ROI to cater for unseen events while studying (all to show that I'm not going there to work), Pension, Landed property & Car. I studied Chemical Eng. and going for MSc. in Industrial as a progression in my career.
The gist: When the GCMS notes came in that first time, I feel into depression cos I couldn't fathom how poorly my application was assessed but I found strength, after many hard days, to maintain my faith, holding unto the fact that God won't leave me half-way. I reached out to plenty lawyers to just go straight to JR cos up till now, I don't understand what went wrong with that first application, considering that I had studied this thread from part 13 and know what was obtainable. I wrote my LOE using every refusal reason as subheadings and addressing each as it applies to me, but then... I learned some lessons - so much is outside my control, God is faithful so I should depend solely on Him than trust my own understanding, In such cases, sound more sympathetic than professional.
Upon seeking JR approach, one lawyer just advised me to reapply first and we'll take it up after the second time. Now, God perfected it. To all hopefuls, God doesn't put to shame those that put their trust in Him. I literally gave up plenty times and even stopped going to church, but His mercy and reckless love won't just give up on me. I even prefer traveling now than that December I had wanted, God's time is really the best and I thank Him for how it turned out.
Thanks to everyone that replied my enquiries and emails, I really appreciate y'all. I've made great friends from this forum, It's really overwhelming and I'm grateful to y'all. Congrats and shout out to Lekiboboe (my amazing and selfless paddy that have always been just a chat away) and NairaLuck (my first application set-mate that it happened for before me, I'm happy it ended in praise for us all), IRCC made me weak to even type here again. Drhay: Please i have this question as to after studies, canadian government give PGWP for 1year if course taken is 1year (PG CERT), but give PGWP for 3years when course taken is 2years. My question is,
1. How do one go about getting PG CERT for 2years cos most one ive seen is 1year
2. Please have been curious is there a way for getting funding or student loan ?
3. How does CRS, ITA and Nomination work after study.
Sorry for my dumb questions i just felt as a new bee i should plan ahead of time.. 1. Most Post Graduate Certificate Programs have 1 year duration. Unless some few courses with 2 years. You can apply with the 1 year duration program and at the completion of your studies, you can apply for study permit extension within Canada to pursue another 1 year program. This will make you eligible for 3 years PGWP after studies. 2. There are no student loan or funding for post graudate certificate programs. 3. Upon the completion of your studies in Canada, you will be awarded a Canadian degree which increases your CRS score to dive into the Express Entry pool. In addition to your work experience in Nigeria and a good IELTS/CELPIP score, you will be given an ITA. On the other hand, you can also qualify to apply for PR under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) if your one or two years Canadian work experience falls under the NOC Skill Level 0, NOC Skill Level A or NOC Skill Level B. I hope this information is helpful to your enquiry It will end in praise |

Also can I add a document that wasn't requested to the MBS & upload together (I omitted employer intro letter and death certificate of my dad).

Frankrobbn1, Lekiboboe,JustMellow and others please drop your suggestions The visa officer is not satisfied that you've the financial resources to embark on your studies in Canada. He has expressed concerns that you're single, mobile and not established in Nigeria. More so, there are traces of large deposits which dropped into your sponsor's account two days prior to the account statement was printed. To adequately clear the grey areas in this regard, provide a detailed letter of explanation stating your establishment in Nigeria and why this program is a reasonable progression for you and worth the cost and difficulty of pursuing the program in Canada. Your sponsor should provide a separate letter which would elucidate in detail as to the origin of the funds that came into his account. More importantly, get your brother go transfer your living expenses into your account to prove that you've full access to the money in his account. I hope this information helps It will end in praise |
