Officialksolo:Study Permit is also regarded as a temporary resident visa same with work permit and visitor's applications. Given that you had wrongly applied for a visitor's visa instead of a study permit application. I would highly recommend that you request for the withdrawal of your application. IRCC are presently not processing or prioritising visitor's visa and a decison may not be reached on your file due to these factual reasons. I hope this information satisfies your inquiry. It will end in praise |
Ketima:You don't need to sign any of the immigration forms including the family information form. Fill the necessary information, date, save and upload the form in the required column. It will end in praise |
Jonaholorun:You can apply with your spouse and show adequate proof of funds for your stay in Canada. However, its not logical to apply with your mother at this time. This will give the visa officer the impression that you're using study permit as a means of relocation rather than educational advancement thus leading to rejection. It will end in praise |
Biddy1:Be proactive by withdrawing your current application. I can tell you for free that your agent had mistakenly applied for a visitor's visa for you instead of a study permit. Please be advised that student visiting letter doesn't not exist in the regulations and manuals of IRCC. You can seek for the withdrawal of your application through the IRCC WEBFORM - NAIROBI IRCC are presently processing study permit applications and essential work permit applications. Visitor's applications are not being prioritised at the moment due to the global pandemic. As such, withdrawal is the best option and reapplying for a study permit. It will end in praise |

Uzomachukwu:The POF the applicant might require will be to cover for other miscellaneous expenses he/she might incur during the of their studies in Canada. The applicant doesn't need to show fat bank statement to demonstrate financial sufficiency given that the program is fully funded by the school/supervisor. It will end in praise |
RoyalDukeDon:You may want to retry it anytime from 11am in the morning (Nigerian Time). It will end in praise |
Esmeob: Esmeob:Generally, police character certificate is not a compulsory document for study visa application to Canada. I would suggest you rather not include it with your application. It will end in praise |
TANTUMERGO007:This question has been addressed in the early pages of this thread. It will end in praise |
Tarama:A PGC in Finance from NSCC is the best course of action to show academic advancement. It will end in praise |
Kkddyit: Kkddyit:The current update/status of your application shows that the immigration officer is actively working on finalising your spouse and kids application. I have seen a case scenario where the accompanying dependents were the first to be approved before the principal applicant. To all appearances, it reveals that same is about to take place on your application. My professional advice for you is to email IRCC office in Nairobi via email inquiring about the current status of your application and respectfully plea if they require further information/documents from you. This may trigger them to look into your file and expedite processing of your application. It will end in praise |
tracy0803409:What is a gift deed? You don't have enough money for Proof of Funds and you would have a relation or friend post a bulk sum into your account to cover your proof of funds. You then do a gift deed to somehow "legalize" this transaction so that it doesn't raise eyebrows. This is so your application stands in good shape. Firstly, you should do a gift deed only if you feel comfortable doing it. IRCC has not explicity required that applicants do a gift deed. It's not present on their website. However, there is evidence to believe some have done gift deeds and successfully obtained their study permit/PR. My guess is that the Visa Officers evaluated each application on its own merit. Therefore, how you package your gift deed in your overall application is more likely to have an effect on how successfully it is evaluated. As far as I can tell, the gift deed idea evolved from the canadavisa site into Nairaland. Nairalanders embraced it and some have used it successfully. How does a gift deed work? A friend, family member, etc, sends a bulk amount into your account before you obtain your statement of account. Then you have to draft some sort of "explanation" attributable to this person which effectively assures the VO that the money has been gifted to you for valid reasons. Can anyone provide you a gift deed or just family members? https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/162#48166112 Check these links, you'll get the mixed feelings about this famous "deed gift" thing.: https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/677#58780700 https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/552#57598715 https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/683#58809082 And for at least one person, a bulk of the money entered into her account without a gift deed. So, don't start asking the question to death. Use it after you have assessed all these collated opinions above and you become convinced yourself. Are there alternatives? Yes! You can get the money and put it into some fixed deposit investment, then present the FD. Similarly, you can use it for treasury bills or mutual funds, etc. In summary, there are options. The decision lies with you. Good luck. It will end in praise |
TANTUMERGO007:Do you've first-hand experience on this matter or is this a mere assertion? Its highly advisable we advise prospective applicants based on facts we have seen works for others. This is to ensure that we don't complicate matters for people. It will end in praise |
Komeoby:This enquiry has been addressed by me, check the post above. Thank you. It will end in praise |
Komeoby:It doesn't matter where and how the tuition payment was carried out. The sponsor (parents) of the applicant should clearly state in the sponsorship letter that he/she was responsible for the first year tuition payment to demonstrate his/her financial commitment towards sponsoring her education in Canada. This is sufficient and in no way affect the credence of her application. Furthermore, include a copy of the tuition receipt to support this information. It will end in praise |
Oluwahush98:You've to provide a letter of explanation detailing why you're unable to provide the IELTS result. A rational reason must suffice to proof your inability to prepare for the IELTS exam. Even though you decide to ignore the NSE request, you still have to advice in writing your reasons for non-compliance to the NSE program. It will end in praise. |
TANTUMERGO007:The investment certificate should be a subordinate POF as it cannot cover for the entire 4 year undergraduate degree program in Canada. It will end in praise |
Wadogho:There will be no issues with your bank account statement showing a gift deed from your parents. Its 100% legal for parents or close relatives to provide a gift deed in form of immovable assets or cash for any visa application to Canada. The visa officer are fully educated and aware of this, and such doesn't raise any concerns. My professional advice remains that your sponsor should be your parents not a third party for an undergraduate degree in Canada. It will end in praise |
Jonaholorun:You don't need to show proof of funds for the NSE route if you're on a fully funded scholarship scheme. Provide a letter from your supervisor and the scholarship grant letter from the University which corroborates that you've a scholarship. There is no direct link for the NSE program on the IRCC website. You will be prompted to provide the NSE documents after the submission of your application. I hope this information satisfies your enquiry. It will end in praise |
Wadogho:Your uncle (third party) being the main sponsor to your study permit application will drastically reduce your chances of getting approval. This is because it is almost impossible for a third party (uncle) to incur such huge cost for an undergraduate degree that is way cheaper in Nigeria. I will prefer you use your parents as your primary sponsorship than an Uncle who is overwhelmed with lots of responsibilities that include family, business and personal welfare. I hope this information satisfies your immigration enquiry. It will end in praise |
TANTUMERGO007:That's my slogan! "It will end in Praise" ![]() I usually use this statement to end every piece of information of mine on this window as I have this strong belief in my mind that everyone on this platform will definitely share their success stories in God's appointed time. I hope it stands to motivate everyone viewing my posts. It will end in praise |
Wadogho:Who will be your main sponsor for your studies in Canada? Is the huge sum termed Gift of deed your only main POF? It will end in praise |
Wadogho:Glad to hear you heeded to my advice and it worked for you. Trust me from my first-hand experience, your study permit application will be a success if you're able to cover every loopholes in the application that could raise the eyebrows of the visa officer. It will end in praise |
Wadogho:In view of the foregoing, you're required to provide a 4 months bank statement while your parents provide a month bank statement to show that the funds were originally transferred from their account. The notarised gift deed is the legal document to prove the provenance of the transaction. It will end in praise |
TANTUMERGO007:The strength and weakness of your application should be considered prior to the submission of your application not after submission. Once your application has been received by IRCC, all documents are open for verification and a decision is being made based on the documents present on file. You should monitor all correspondences via your CIC account. It will end in praise |
TANTUMERGO007:The current standard processing times according to IRCC website is 14weeks. This is not applicable to every application received by IRCC as some applicants gets faster processing/decison within a month. It will end in praise |
Cynnwaozuzu7:Humber College is presently facing a high volume of applications from international students. I urge you to apply to other good institutions like Fanshawe College and Conestoga College. It will end in praise |
BillionaireTeen:There are no scholarships available for undergraduate programs in Canada. It will end in praise |
