Jerido:It's not advisable to apply for a visitor's visa (TRV) immediately after you've been refused a study permit to Canada. Doing so will be considered an act of desperation in the visa officer's assessment which will certainly weaken your ties to Nigeria. I would suggest you give a space of 4-5 months before applying for this Visitor's Visa or better still reapply for your study permit by addressing the concerns raised in the previous application. |
Freshprince777:The delay is from the Nigerian Bank. Have you been able to reach out to your bank with a copy of the transcation receipt from the school? Please do that as soon as possible so they could easily track the transcation via their records. |
oyinlove15: oyinlove15:Your application is 50/50 since you did an upfront medicals. Though the BVL came so early within a month. Nonetheless, be positive and keep an eye on your MyCIC account, you should receive a final decision on your application soon. It will end in praises |
Folab080:I'm afraid, A negative decision has already been reached on your application. Further correspondence will be communicated to you in few hours from now. |
Glasses1: Glasses1:Of course there is provision for you to send additional documents that you might deem useful in your application after submission. Simply raise a CSE to the Kenya (Nairobi) Immigration office via this email: nrobi-immigration@international.gc.ca The subject of the mail should bear ADDITIONAL DOCUMENT, along side your FULL NAME, UCI NUMBER, APPLICATION NUMBER AND DATE OF BIRTH. Also send your enquiry via THE NAIROBI WEB FORM. It will end in praises |
KrystalDesign:Applying Mid-December against Spring or fall intake 2020 is a good step in the right direction. Please be well informed that the visa officers at the Canadian embassy will be on break starting December 24-27th and will all travel to spend time with their respective families for the Christmas celebration. During this period, all immigration process will be paused and would resume fully after the festive period. It will end in praises for everyone. |
peaceful22:Don't be discouraged with what you see here lately. There will certainly be an approval soon. However, the number of refused applications far outweighs that of the applicants that will be approved for the remaining part of this year 2019. I have carefully analyzed the statistics starting from September until now when the high refusal rate begun, we can only account for estimated number of 14 approvals here. Whereas, the number of refusals over the past three (3) months as can be seen on this thread is over 75, this includes applicants who didn't declare their refusals here but are members of this thread. If anyone feels that I'm wrong with the above figures. You can take your time to count and you will see my assertion's are absolutely accurate as per the current refusal/approval rate. It will end in praises. |
Folab080:I regret to hear your study visa was refused the second time. Please put yourself together as this is not the end of the road, but a stepping stone towards your TRV ladder of success. I strongly advice prospective applicants who were refused lately of their visas to defer their admission to the next available term Summer or Fall, 2020. I feel the Canadian embassy must have reached their quota for 2019. Why do i say so? This is because even the best/well packaged applications with full funded scholarships are been turned down on a daily basis at this period of time with generic/flimsy reasons within the space of 2-3 weeks of application submission. An applicant contacted me last week and narrated how he spent over 500k in Naira equivalent with the services of an immigration attorney in Canada but still his application was refused with same generic reasons given to Nigerian applicants. My sincere advise is that you defer your admission and let's hope for a fruitful 2020. It will end in praises. |
holllowu:I regret to hear that your application for a study visa was refused based on the above shortlisted reasons. How were you able to explain the lucrativeness and reasonableness of undertaking your proposed program in view of the fact that there are similar available program back home. What were your home ties to Nigeria and how convincing was this paragraph in your SOP. Please can you share a detailed profile of your previous application and the list of documents you submitted alongside the application. This will help the knowledgeable members of this honourable platform to know how best to guide you for a successful reapplication. Never give up, your success story is right around the corner. It will end in praises. |
Sumji:You said you secured an admission at the prestigious University of Calgary with 3.53Cgpa for an MSc (thesis-based) program in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering. I know a supervisor is required for this program, and must agree to oversee your research before admission will be granted which is also accompanied with guaranteed funding. I'm very much interested to know how you were able to do the aforementioned. Kindly provide clarity to the house. Thanks |
geotherm:A negative decision has been reached on your friend's study visa application. Her best bet at this point in time is to defer her admission to the next available term and file for an airtight reapplication. It will end in praises |
ChidimmaP:It's a generic tracking ID and can't give you the factual progress of your application - Please refer to my previous post on the STEP-BY-STEP PROCEDURE TO LINK YOUR PAPER APPLICATION ONLINE. It will end in praises |
naijabat2001:We have several respected gurus on this window in the person of Justmellow, Qudkom, Makano, Mcobex, and Naijaforeigner etc. These guys are extremely good, deep-rooted, very committed to the process and have consistently been rendering selfless contributions that are beneficial to the members of this thread. You can reach out to them for further assistance. It will end in praises. |
akanasti:Their fees are quite expensive and the cost of living in Vancouver is very high and for this reason should budget approximately 15KCAD per annum for living expenses. |
Sirromey:I regret to hear your visa was rejected. Can you please share a comprehensive breakdown of documents you submitted alongside your previous application, including your profile which entitles - Your intended program, Previous undergraduate studies, sponsor, and proposed institution in Canada. It shall end in praises |
UGODDAY:Unofficial Documents will be uploaded during application process. Official Documents including transcipts should be sent by institution of learning via courier. |
naijabat2001:She's very young and are chances of getting a study visa is great. I think you didn't do justice in her SOP, --- Why she is going for undegraduate studies in Canada as well as home ties that would compel her return home after studies. In her case, you don't need to order for her gcms notes. Simply write a 2 pages letter that will tackle the reasons highlighted by the visa officer and reapply. This time, endavour to contact any of the knowledgeable gurus here to help vet the letter before you submit the application the second time. It shall end in praises. |
auggie007:Transcipts alone should be fine and the institution of learning will be responsible for sending the transcipts to WES. |
Tinyemeka:Yes the job is still there and valid for me. The visa officers (IRCC) are aware that the delay is from their office and not from the applicant's side. Generally, AIPP PR applicants get their VISAS between 6-8 months after job offer has been granted. It might interest you to know that last week a member in our WhatsApp group got her Work Permit approved after having waited for 7 months, same thing goes to other successful applicants applying for PR under this program. Hence, this is a clear evidence that the start date of job doesn't matter/count in the visa officer's assessment provided that your job offer is authentic and endorsed by the provincial government. |
hannamia007:I have reciprocated! Meanwhile, I applaud you for the great job you're doing here. |
naijabat2001:I regret to hear your cousin's application was rejected. However I would demand you share a detailed breakdown of the list of documents that were submitted with her previous refused application. What's her intended program, her current job role and previous undegraduate studies. This will help us pinpoint some of the mistakes made in her application. It shall end in praises. |
Chijudy1:Amen! Thank you very much for the prayers and compliments. I'm glad you find the information useful. Feel free to reach out here should you have any questions/concerns that needs to be attended to. I wish you the very best in your family's application. |
Molly90:Since you're applying for a post graduate program, a degree transcipts would do. |
Piecoco:It's a big risk to reapply at this time for a Winter intake in view of the fact that you didn't undergo an upfront medicals that would help speed up the application process. Well, since you insist on reapplying, you can go ahead with your plans and hope for a positive outcome. However, I won't be available at the moment to review the LOE for you because I'm presently flooded with a great deal of them on my deck. I strongly apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused you. I wish you the very best in your application. It shall end in praises. |
boommer:Check out Brandon University, they accept NECO results with token numbers. All the best |
electroTech:Congratulations on your acceptance. First and foremost defer your admission to the next available term because you have limited/no time to gather supporting documents for your visa application. Secondly, sit and think outside the box the reasons for your planned studies in Canada and why you should return home after studies (SOP). It shall end in praises. |
Piecoco:Sorry to hear your visa was rejected. Permit me to ask you, what is your program start date? I don't think it's reasonable to reapply for January, Winter intake at this time. It's better you defer your acceptance to the next available term. Meanwhile provide answer to my question. |
Prodigee:The person's best bet is to apply for a PhD since the candidate already has a M.eng and should contact supervisors in Canada that share similar research interest with him/her. Also, I would appreciate if this person in question could come here to ask his/her questions. All the best; |
Chijudy1:I strongly apologize for the delayed response from me. I had mistakenly skipped your question due to several queries been pasted here with my name in quote. On the other note, thanks for the prayers and best wishes. Certainly you can apply with your family members (spouse and kids) provided that you've the financial resources to cover for their period of stay in Canada and sufficient ties that would compel your return home after your authorized period of stay. Ties to Nigeria includes - Your aged parents whom aren't accompanying you and requires your constant care and support, rented buildings that yields income to the family, investments in banks, and holding an esteem position (president, vice president, secretary, provost) in any reputable organization in Nigeria etc. Some of the reasons you could possibly give to justify your intent of travelling with your husband and kids for your studies in Canada can be seen below - " First and foremost start by mentioning the names of your hubby and children whom are travelling with you to Canada. Explain in the letter that leaving your children in Nigeria will be an emotional burden to you and you may not be able to concentrate on your studies. This is because you don't have capable hands to take care of them in Nigeria. Your mother and mother in-law are in their old age and can't take care of them. Secondly, your husband work will not permit him to take good care of them. You intend to travel with them so that your husband will take care of them, while you're studying and you can also supervise them with any little time you have." Please refer to GOINGFORWARD DETAILED SUCCESSFUL TRV PROFILE , She secured her study visa last year with her entire household (husband and kids). I trust the list of documents she included along side her application would be useful in your application. Furthermore, bear in mind that children above 5 years must apply for a study permit before they enter Canada. You don't need to secure an acceptance in any school in Canada for them to be eligible for a study permit. All you are required to do is to search for a childcare close (creche, or primary school) to your University, attach the email conversations between you and the childcare. This would prove to the visa officer that your kids will be enrolled in school and well take care of once they arrive Canada and for this reason wouldn't be an obstacle to your studies. I hope this information is adequate enough to provide clarity to your questions. It shall end in praises |
xctvhz:I regret to hear your study visa was refused. You graduated with a first class in a lucrative and exciting field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering which can easily fetch you a full funded scholarship in Canada. Grant me the privilege to ask you - Why do you want to pay exorbitantly for international tuition fees after securing such high CGPA during your undergraduate studies?. Why settle for MEng (a course based master's program in Canada)?. Is this what you truly want for yourself? I have my reasons for throwing these questions at you because you've a higher prospect of securing funding from renowned supervisors in Canada especially when you put in your best effort. Please do have a re-think about your decision. Now coming to your questions, you can use the new acceptance letter for your next Application, it doesn't raise eye brows nor does it cause any problem in your next application so far it's in tandem with your speciality. You can also include your wife's business registration certificate and SOA as proof that you're well established and have several commitments to carry out upon your return home. I wish you the very best. It shall end in praises |
MissMichelleA:From your profile, I feel you might have not done the needful in your SOP. Hence the limited employment prospect and limited ties to Nigeria as a reason for refusal. I would advice you order your GCMS note as soon as possible, defer your admission to the next available term, rewrite a fresh SOP, this time include an LOE to address the reasons that were highlighted by the VO as well as additional information/documents that will substantiate your claims. Lastly, seek counsel from any of the knowledgeable individuals here to help vet the SOP/LOE on your behalf so as to be sure you've adequately done the right in your application. It shall end in praises. |
niyiwhaless:Truth be told, your chances of securing visa with an ordinary diploma are 3/100%, as the program you're going for in Canada is way lower than your already completed degree in Nigeria. More so, the visa officer will see you as not a bona-fide student who is using study permit as a means to abscond into Canada rather than educational advancement. The advice from BarristerAlarig is a guided one. In a bid to increase your chances a post graduate diploma or master's in your area of specialization is the best option here. Amongst all, the choice is yours. All the best! |
