I did an upfront medical and I got this correspondence on the 18th of October, paper route, I have not linked online.
Your chances of securing visa are good since you did upfront medicals and it has been updated as passed and you received a BVL notification three (3) weeks ago. Most times refusals doesn't stay longer than 48hrs to two weeks after BVL has been initiated.

Be hopeful i sense a positive news at the end of the tunnel.

@Frankrobbn1 and others on here, pls how can i contact IOM for Medicals.( I have tried all their lines, all to no avail).. was previously booked for 27th November in Qlife which is too far away as my Medicals has been requested since last week.
Also, does anyone on here has an upfront medical appointment date later this week or next week at Qlife that i can swap mine with. Pls DM me if you do. I’ll appreciate.
Accept my congratulations in advance on your medical request. Since you're unable to contact IOM panel physician via the shortlisted numbers on IRCC official website. You can reach out to Anazor Chinyere, via this email - canazor@iom.int She is an attendant and responsible for upfront medical exam appointment bookings.

It shall end in praises.

Thanks bro, like this guy, I should still go ahead with "Dear Professor"
Dear Dr. or Professor..... The two are very acceptable when approaching a supervisor. However use Dear professor.

Hello, pls my younger brother get his refusal few month ago..in the process of reapplying biometric fee keep showing.... What is the solution....your suggestion is highly welcome. Thanks
Your younger brother should answer correctly that he has submitted his fingerprints within the last 10 years. By so doing, he wouldn't have to pay for a biometrics fee of 85$ again.

Good day all.. I intend to apply for masters in a Canadian university dis week. Pls I want to find out if I must write an English language proficiency exam?
You're from an English speaking country, Nigeria and during your undegraduate studies all lectures/instructions were carried out in English language. Hence, you don't require an English proficiency test prior to your enrollment into any program in Canada.

Hi people,

So I emailed McMaster University in respect to waiver of English proficiency Tests, now my question is how can I go about the second part "Please just upload a note that says the official language in Nigeria is English" Like which Ministry or channel can I go through to get such a note.

Thanks.

Image attached!
Approach the university/professor where you had your undergraduate studies and request for an English Proficiency Waiver letter.

Just how you were reading my mind. That guy does not work for nairaland, he is also one of us but with immigration knowledge and a good heart.
If he doesnt ask you doesnt mean he wont accept it.
And again by specifically mentioning him in your questions could be making others who would have contributed back down. That wasnt how it was when i joined. The more the input the better.
Really? I haven't noticed the bolded here. Maybe I haven't been observant lately. You're absolutely correct, the more the input the better, that's why I always encourage others whom are knowledgeable in this process to also contribute by answering and proffering solutions to questions been asked here.

wait oh, what is going on with CIC or IRCC?
i am reading some people said they have got BVL since over two weeks without further update ?
and someone getting BVL before medical or approval before medical request.

please which is the clear gist abeg?
As per the bolded, Yes it happens only on a rare occurrence... I can barely count three (3) applicants that received medical request after BVL earlier this year on this platform. I reiterate only on a RARE occurrence would such happen. It might also interest you to know that two applicants contacted me last week Thursday to inform me that their application for a study visa was rejected after two (2) months of receiving a medical request and passing the medical exam. Following the whole narration, anything is possible when it comes to Kenya VO. I have tried my possible best to gather precise information over the years from diverse applications seen within and outside of this window on how these visa officers operate, but they tend to bring up different procedures which makes it difficult to comprehend or predict their modus operandi.

If you would listen to me, defer your Admission to the next available term. This will help you prepare for a successful application as It's not advisable to reapply blindly without being able to tackle the highlighted reasons that were stated on your refusal letter.

All the best!

Hello house, a friend of mine who's a Canadian immigration consultant is helping me login my application. My question is this, is there any chances that my application doesn't land in Nairobi ?
Irrespective of whosoever that is performing business on your behalf (immigration consultant), your application will be processed and handled by NAIROBI Immigration Officers, in view of the fact that the compensated agent is required to use Nigeria as your citizenship and country of application. Since you don't have a valid work permit, study visa or permanent residency card, they can't select Canada as your current country of residence.

I hope this information is adequate to what you seek.

All the best.

"Review of eligibility Help - Review of eligibility

October 31, 2019 We regret to inform you that you do not meet the eligibility requirements. Please see the final decision below."

This is exactly what they wrote.
It's a Refusal and your eligibility has been finalized a week ago. In this event, you may want to share a detailed list of documents you submitted in your previous application, so we could possibly spot out the common mistakes you had made. Also defer your Admission to the next available term and subsequently, prepare for a new reapplication.

Good Day everyone
1.Transfering ownership of properties from my parents to me would that be enough to address the issue of strong family ties or what else can I include?
2.How do I address the issue of purpose of visit
3.employment situation ...I want to say after 6 months internship which ended in september, that I got a permanent position by October and that the company has given me permission to leave and study and when i come back I would be offered a better position and better salary..Please would this work or any suggestions ?
Please I really need help because I want to reapply as soon as possible,my school resumes January..Thanks and God bless
Olamide319:
Some one should please reply me
Good to know you're investing your time and effort in preparing an airtight reapplication. Coming to your questions, transferring ownership of properties (deed of Gift) is a significant ties to your application and would demonstrate to the visa officer that you're well-established in your home country. Other supporting documents that would accompany the deed of gift should include your siblings birth certificates, pictures with your family members (particularly your parents), study leave approval letter from your current place of work, and any relevant volunteer activities you're performing in an NGO in Nigeria.

PURPOSE OF VISIT & CURRENT EMPLOYMENT SITUATION HAS BEEN ADDRESSED IN THIS POST take your time to read through.

Lastly, it's not advisable to reapply for the winter term by this time because you are at risk of not being able to meet up with the start date.

It shall end in praises.

Hello Everybody, Please what does it mean to when your eligibility check says you are not eligible for the program you applied for? I applied for Masters in my area of study, Engineering. So I am confused that my visa application eligibility check failed. Please
Where did you see this update?... I know too well that when an applicant is denied a visa this isn't the write up you should see on your MyCIC Account. With regards your question, you're not eligible simply means you're not admissible and doesn't qualify for the program/Visa you applied for. This, a rejection! Meanwhile confirm my question, so I will advise you appropriately.

Yea. Thank you. I'm thinking a Graduate Certificate in maybd Global business management or business management.

What are my chances of getting my visa approved?

I'm yet to apply for admission though
Your chances of securing a visa to Canada are good provided that you're able to explain your passion for business, and also try as much as you can to link your previous internship experiences during your undergraduate studies in agricultural economics with your current job role as a business owner. Explain extensively why you need a business management Certificate and it's benefits to your career and home country. Once you can be able to come up with convincing reasons behind the aforementioned, then you're close to your visa success.

Please I applied for a post graduate program and received acceptance letter from college of North Atlantic for fall 2020. I want to know the next step and the required documents to submit for an interview. Should I apply via lagos or abuja office ? Please I need your urgent advice and guideline on how not to be rejected.
Check my post earlier this year for
THE LIST OF SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR A SUCCESSFUL STUDY VISA APPLICATION.

It might also interest you to know that Canada immigration doesn't conduct interviews for study permit applicants, it's only on a rare occurrence would such happen. You can apply for your visa through online or paper route. The importance of going through the online route is that you can easily submit your application at your convenience while you proceed for your biometrics enrollment at the nearest VAC office (Abuja or Lagos) close to you.

Good evening house, well done to all the guru's in the house.I have a Bsc in Economics(2.2) and will like to go for my Msc/Phd.Kindly recommended Universities in Canada that are affordable. Thanks
The minimum requirement for a master's program in any of the Canadian Designated Learning Institutions is 2.1. Since you graduated with 2.2 (second class lower), your best shot will be a post graduate diploma in Management program. Check out Concordia University for her PGD in business management, Conestoga College, Fanshawe College, etc.

As for mine, my spouse is a citizen (by birth) over there and wishes me to come over. What grp in NL can satisfy that pls.

Thanks
NB: I will continue to still be part of this place.
It's a great pleasure to have you here. Thanks for the compliments about me, i do appreciate it. As per your question your spouse needs to sponsor you to come to Canada since she is already a citizen. sorry for your refusal bro, did you do sworn affidavit of intent to return and sponsorship affidavit also, apart from the sponsorship letter, recommendation letter please let me know just want to know what’s wrong in document.
Thanks.
The bolded doesn't in anyway change the discretion of the visa officer in assessing the overall admissibility of an applicant's Application. Affidavit of support is valid but affidavit of return makes no impact in an application.
