onyinyeehC: Frank, sir i have watched how you have helped alot people in the canada student visa thread. Your selfless act has reflected in my life. Your desire to help at any point is amazing. I found out about this program, and i have been having issues in preparing a convincing (canadian concept )resume and cover letter . Please if you would be able to send a sample Email : Ochidolueeh@gmail.com. Thank you so much. And congratulations sire It's been a while I visited this thread. I hope everything is going on well with those hunting for job offers. Always bear in mind that the race is not given to the swift nor the battle to the strong but to those who endureth till the end. I wish you all the very best. Thanks @onyinyeehC, for the elite wishes and compliments about me. If I may ask what your CGPA like? You may stand a chance to secure full scholarship in any of the canadian designated learning Institutions. As per your question, please refer to this POST FOR SAMPLE OF RESUME AND COVER LETTER. Bimmy35: Hello house.
Please is it compulsory I update IRCC with my new admission letter. Got approval late but could not resume for September 2019 intake. I have however defer to January 2020 and I have a new letter of acceptance from school for this. Should I update IRCC with the new letter or I should just ignore. If I must submit the letter, how do I go about it.
Thanks. Bimmy35: Hello gurus in the house, please help with the above. Thanks. Hey sorry no one had answered your query. Accept my congratulations! Since your Visa has been approved, you don't need to update IRCC about your updated letter of acceptance. Your visa is valid for two years which gives you entry into Canada within this period of time so you can be able to obtain your study permit at the point of entry. Never to worry, prepare your trip for January, winter 2020. You will be fine. |

RE: validity of your biometric information
Thank you for providing your biometric information (i.e. digital fingerprints and photograph) in support of your temporary resident application to Canada. The purpose of this letter is to notify you that your biometric information is valid until (yyyy/mm/dd) for subsequent temporary resident applications to Canada.
What you need to know for subsequent temporary resident (TR) applications:
• Please keep this letter for future reference. Your biometric information must be valid for the duration of your temporary stay in Canada. • You will not be required to provide your biometric information again in support of any subsequent temporary resident applications you make within the validity date indicated above. • However, if you wish to extend the validity of your permit or visa beyond the validity date indicated above you can provide your biometric information again and pay the associated fee for another ten-year validity. • Please note that you will be required to provide your biometric information in support of any permanent resident application, even if you apply within the validity date indicated above. • In addition to this letter, you can check the validity date of your biometric information using: • your MyAccount at • the Biometrics Validity Tool that is available on Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Did your cousin receive any instruction to undergo a medical exam prior to this biometrics validity letter? On the account that the answer is No, then it's likely that a decision has been made on your cousin's application which is a REFUSAL. |

yomeximas: Hello House, Having submitted the application, I got to know this thread while waiting endlessly for approval that lasted for 13months. Here is a summary of the application details.
TRV: Study Permit Route: Online Mode: Company sponsored Application Date: June 3,2018 Biometrics: June 5,2018 Eligibility Reviewed: June 13,2019 Medical Done: June 28,2019 Medical Passed: July 1,2019 Approval: July 16,2019 Passport dropped: July 17,2019 Application Length: 13months
iv. Experience counts most times: I had been worried on an application that was just taking forever with no update from the CIC until a day I read a post wherein someone commented that application could last 14 months but Frankrobnn1 “The Seer” confidently proved that it had never lasted beyond a year. So I decided to give it two more months before I would opt to cancel the application and perhaps re-apply. But just imagine, it was APPROVED the following month!!!
My wife is now settled with her studies, but this journey has taught me a lot about God. I sense that the mood is low in the house, but I felt someone’s faith could be renewed by this testimony.
APPRECIATIONS Frankrobnn1, Mcobex, Naijaforeigner, Austacus,Justmellow, Makano, sopunter….and all the gurus, only God can reward your tireless and selfless service, thank you.
REQUEST You guys should please accept my email request, I need your help on something else which is different from the focus of this thread. Wow! this is an awesome news, the first of it's kind I must say. Congratulations to your wife. I am happy to hear it turned out positively for her in the long run. LOL @ the bolded word Frankrobben1 "The Seer", I am not a custodian of knowledge even though I try my possible best to gather precise information over the years from different applications within and outside of this thread. I can't believe that people do remember/keep records of my previous posts on this thread, your success story is an exemplary. I received your email request, and I have responded to all your queries. Is it possible to go for MSc in Canada with a wife accompanying? If Yes, how do I go about it Otherwise, if there is another method of processing it, I'll appreciate it.
Thanks. It's very possible provided that you've sufficient funds to cover for your travelling expenses, cost of your studies and living expenses for both of you as well as home ties that can compel your return home after studies. Another method is you applying alone while your wife files for a SOWP to accompany you after you've secured your TRV. |

Larryhillz28: Evening house... please I have a quick question... my mom is a dual citizen of Nigeria and Germany she lives and works there... can I use her sponsorship letter and bank statements to apply for study visa in Canada even tho she may not have up to 10million the account but has a steady job over there in Germany...
Thank you Of course! nothing stops you from using your mom's German bank statement for your visa application to Canada. However, ensure that the funds in her account is sufficient enough to cover for your first year tuition and living expenses and also have some left for her personal welfare. Her steady funds over there isn't enough proof of funds, her bank statement tells more about her financial establishment. So work on her financial statement before applying. I hope this helps All the best! |

mikkiz: Hey guys, I’m going to give you some tips or possible way of getting your study permit approved genuinely;
Ideally most canadian universities don’t accept 2:2 for masters, having a 2:1 possibly from 3.6 upward would go a long way both in securing admission and visa success.
Your account statement has to belong to either your parents or siblings of the same parents, and should be ran for Atleast 5 months showing frequent transaction history before printing and submission.
If you have applied for a study permit before and be refused, you should wait for Atleast 1yr before trying again, whereby including supporting documents to show your status has changed.
There are lots of free online certificate program online, taking 2 or 3 certificate courses in your previous field of study and including a copy of your undergraduate project summary(1 page), would show applicant is a genuine candidate.
Statement of purpose should explain why you wish to study in canada, why you wish to study in the university you got admitted, why you wish to study the program you were admitted to and how’s beneficial it is to your home country after graduation. Emphasis on current issues Nigeria is facing such as power supply. Your training and education in canada as an electrical and computer engineering has covered this loop.
It’s better to choose the same program you did in your Undergraduate or a very close related program if applying for masters. ex( B.sc in computer science and Msc in computer engineering or electrical and comp engr)
Your parent should sign an affidavit of support, notarized and clearly signed stating you are thier only dependant left to support to master level.
Landed property could Include your father business reg, tax certificate, vehicle and landed property. The applicant don’t necessarily need to have any property coz he/she is being sponsored. But having or including of your personal assets or funds would be helful.
It’s also helpful to apply for a study permit Atleast 6-12 months after undergraduate because it shows continuous interest in achieving thier educational goals. You should also explain why there was a gap between the year of graduation before submitting an application for master degree. If you were working attach a reference letter, or you were undergoing an internship or helping in your father business, always attach a document to support your story.
You don’t need a full box of documents to prove to the immigration that you’re a genuine student.
I hope this is helpful and wish all future TRV applicants success. Nice post from you! But unfortunately the above steps on how to prepare an application doesn't add up/work in all cases, owning to the fact that I have recently noticed there is no blueprint for this visa process and also no set out standards as to the requirements/conditions the Canadian visa officer's follow when accessing the overall eligibility of an applicant's application. I know two applicants who got rejected recently, one was an undergraduate candidate who just finished highschool and the parents were her sponsor with adequate funds and home ties, the second was a fresh engineering graduate, completed his NYSC earlier this year but was rejected. Whereas, applicants with over 16 years study gaps are now the ones getting visas. Hence, why I said the above steps put forward by you can't guarantee a successful Canadian study visa application. There is no particular section in the law guiding Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR), where it was stipulated that applicants will have to wait for so long (1 year) after visa rejection before reapplying. Either it stated that once an applicant can prove that his/her current circumstance has substantively changed with additional documents/information that might be deemed useful are welcome to reapply. Waiting for so long before reapplying makes no difference, if you can't proof that your current situation merits the issuance of a study Visa. Why am I saying all this?, applicants without the above narration/profile from you can still apply for their visas and stand a chance to be approved. |
