@frankrobbn1

Hi sir, I’d need some advice based on my application. I’ve been been offered admission at a college in Calgary for the Fall 2020 session, I have paid the tuition deposit so I decided to start the visa application online sometime in November last year (2019) and all seemed to be going pretty well till I got a denial on the 23rd January 2020, before I could get to do medicals, reasons being;
- family ties in Canada and home country
- purpose of visit

Submitted;
Admission Letter
All application forms
SOP
Sponsor Letter with over 40M balance

I’d really appreciate some advice as I’d like to reapply very soon.
So so sorry to hear your Study Visa was delayed based on the aforementioned reasons.

The profile you shared is not well-detailed, please can you provide me with the following information.

1-) What's your proposed program of study in Canada?
2-) Who was your sponsor?
3-) What was your undergraduate studies?
4-) What is your current job role?
5-) What are your home ties to Nigeria? Can you give me a head ups on the type of documents you submitted to ascertain that you will undoubtedly return home after studies.

Your ability to provide these information will enable me have a clearer picture on what went wrong with your application and thus advise you appropriately for a successful re-application.

It will end in praises.

Hello all,Please need advise on my brother’s application.
He is 19 years going for an undergraduate degree. Application refused today based on :-
*family ties in canada and country of residence
*personal assets and financial status.

Applied Online : November 23,2019
Biometrics done: November 26,2019
Biometrics Validity Letter: January 24,2020
Refusal notice: January 24,2020

I want him to reapply so need advise on what to do.His admission is still valid till September 2020.

Documents submitted
Admission letter
Application forms
Sponsor letter (He offered him a scholarship which he has been doing for other students for years) stated my brother is akin to a son)
Sponsors SOA,Balance was 21M.and has good turn over.
We didn’t pay any tuition yet as it wasn’t required.

Thinking of reapplying next month so he can meet up with May entry if issued. How do we get it right this time?please help.
I regret to hear your younger brother's study visa was rejected. Before I can come into your brother's case, permit me to quickly chip in these questions,

- What kind of scholarship is this? and
- How is this sponsor related to your brother?.
- Where you able to show link b/w the two persons?
- Did you include any proof of history or ongoing financial support from this sponsor to the applicant?

Provide answers to these few questions and I'll know how best to advise you so as to attain a successful re-application.

Also be advised that payment of upfront tuition fees is NOT a prerequisite for a visa approval. Hence, it's not advisable to pay if the school doesn't require you to do so.

Any one knows about Holland college here ?
Holland College is a small college situated at Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada with low employment prospects within the province. Since you're seeking for advanced knowledge with the intention to stay back after studies, why not go for good colleges in Ontario like Centennial College, Conestoga College, Humber College etc.. If you seek my opinion, I feel it's not a reasonable idea going to PEI.

Hello fam, my bro has been given admission into UPEI and brandon university, i am a kind of in situation of chosing one from the two school above, please can you help me check mate the least expensive among them and the necessary document to apply for the visa, we also hope to made the payment for the first for any of the chosing school and use that to also apply for the visa..

Thanks for all the help and infor so far.
University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) is relatively cheaper when compared to other universities in Canada and there is low job opportunities in the province too. So if you're looking for a cheap schools so as to cut costs, then UPEI will be the best option for you. However, be mentally prepared that you can't easily secure a job there.

Good day all, I want to say a very big THANK YOU to all the guys who have been helping to share those wonderful ideas on this platform, I have personally benefited and I know same applies to lots of other people all over the world, may God bless you more.

My study visa was refused and now I decided to order for GCMS notes to enable me reapply next year, I used the link getgcms.com and paid 20CAD. When entering my details, it gave an option if my spouse details were included in the application but I unchecked it and proceeded with mine alone because it also requested for her ICU number which I dont have.

My concern is this, I am married and blessed with kids whose details were included in the application but I applied alone and not to be accompanied by my family, please I want to confirm if am supposed to add my spouse details while placing the order for GCMS notes despite the fact that they are not meant to accompany me.

Secondly, after I have applied, I received a consent note which already carried a DRI details(Names and email-attached), is this what its meant to be?.

Lastly, in the consent note, information for my spouse and other related individual were requested, am I supposed to fill that too since my spouse and children will not accompany me to Canada even though their details were included in my application?.

It over to you Gurus in the house.. Thank you guys!!!

Dear Gurus in the house @Frank and co, please and please I need your advice on this concern I raised.....
I don't know if your concerns have been addressed.. Though I'll respond to it for the sake of future applicants.

As per the first question, your hubby doesn't require to sign the consent form since you didn't indicate in the refused application that he is accompanying you to Canada.

Q2-) The details seen on the attachment bears the information of the third party website which will order the GCMS notes on your behalf. It was automatically generated immediately you had completed the payment. Don't bother about this, that's how it's meant to be.

Q3-) No you don't need to include the details of your spouse and kids in the consent since there aren't accompanying you to Canada.

I hope this helps.

Hello guru in the house. I’m new here. I need an answer to my question ASAP because the whole thing is bothering me oo

I submitted my Canada study visa application last week Wednesday

The problem is on my “Application made outside of Canada form” I ticked that I haven’t being refuse a visa before but I was 2018 at the US embassy. I hope this won’t affect my chances of getting the visa or the VO won’t find it it as an act of violating the rule? It was an unintentional mistake

All other documents are sent by my dad twin brother from the US(a citizen).
The best and fastest approach to avoid been ban, is to quickly file a new corrected IMM1294E form, raise a CSE to Kenya immigration office, and briefly explain in the body of the mail that the previous form was wrongly filled and thus humbly requesting that the updated form should be appended with your processing application. On the other hand, you may request for your application to be withdrawn. Either ways would work.

when I was applying the last email from vfs said my application has arrived at the IRCC office in lagos for processing and the letter that was sent to me was from the deputy high Commission in lagos
This is an automated email sent by VAC to every applicant that submitted their application via the paper route. This doesn't mean your application was processed and handled at the IRCC office in Lagos.

Awesome!, if you're very certain you can be able to meet up for the winter session. You can go ahead and book for your flight. However, passport dispatching takes between 2-3 weeks. So I don't think you will still make it for the winter. On the other hand, you can contact/email the university of Windsor about the possibility of late resumption.

Good morning House once again please my sponsor which is my uncle wants to send my living expenses to my account ...please how do you suggest he does this
Send it at once or bit by bit and how long of duration before i print out my SOA ....I’m going for my undergraduate degree and I want to start my application thanks
Uncle (sponsor) should transfer the money meant for living expenses in full. The money should reflect in your account for a minimum of 1-2 weeks prior to printing the SOA. Also, try to establish a reasonable proof of relationship between you and your uncle.

Congratulations!

When is your resumption date that made you plan to book for flight so quickly?.. Also the immigration that approved your visa was Kenya not Lagos as you thought. The high commission in Lagos only serve as intermediary office to the immigration at Nairobi.

U P D A T E !

My application was approved and passport requested on the 7th of November. I mailed it to them and an acknowledgement was received on the 14th. Since then, my passport has been under process at IRCC and program start date is just 3 weeks away.

I mailed the Nairobi office to express my concerns and sent a CSO to Lagos office but there was no response. A week later, I sent another mail and they responded on Tuesday, 10th Dec.

Can someone guess the response?

I was asked to provide through email, the statement of the account that i submitted, from Sept 2018 to Sept 2019. In order words, after approval and passport request, IRCC Lagos office requested for a one-year statement of the account that I submitted in my application. They asked me to submit before 12th, Dec.and instructed that the statement shows my name, number, available balance, debits and credits.

I went to the bank same day, printed and forwarded to them as instructed. An auto acknowledgement was received and yesterday, a final decision was dispatched in my favour.

Special thanks to @frankrobbn1 for calming my nerves during this long wait.

To a brother found on this thread @bimmy35, you've been a source of encouragement. See you in two weeks!

Congratulations to you ma'am.. I'm happy hear it finally ended in praises for you and glad to be in the context of your TRV crowning achievement.

Go forth and prosper in Canada.

Hello, i completed my bsc in accounting and I’m currently running masters in business Administration at open university but I wish to specialize in supply chain management and logistics which I would like to do in Canada.
Niagara College offers it as an advanced Diploma course. I want to know my chances of getting a study permit visa if I go it since I already have a bsc and masters.
maxwelldexter:
since its a professional course there is no problem with you going for a diploma
This approach is unacceptable and would decrease the op chances of securing a TRV because an advanced diploma is lower than his already completed bachelor's degree in Nigeria.

@Laurendee, your best option here is to apply for a master's program while you continue pursing your MBA here in Nigeria. If your Canada visa turns out good, then you can travel.

@Stevenssen is right. You are lucky and a case of 1/20.
Let's hope it's true about the quota thing and hold on applying till next year.
As we can see the processing time is BTW 3-5weeks now. It seems they are already witnessing a drop in applications/applicant.
And like you said, those that already applied still have hope.
Certainly it will get better next year.... Personally, I would strongly recommend applicants to file for their study visa applications between beginning of February - June 2020 against fall (September), 2020... During this period, I have noticed that there are huge number of approvals on this thread. Unlike those applying from End of June down to September....

Applicants that were refused lately, it's best you utilize this opportunity in 2020 by putting the above information into good practice.

What is the guarantee of one getting its visa after passing medical?
There are no guarantees that you will get the visa after passing a medical exam that was requested by IRCC, as I have seen propsective applicants that were denied on serval occurrence on this subject matter. However, a wide range of research shows that getting a medical request is a positive sign that your chances of securing a TRV is high. Thus, you should exercise the spirit of optimism throughout the process.

Please what other means is available for someone who only have SSCE to get a permanent residence
The Altantic Immigration Pilot Program - AIPP and the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot Program - (RNIP) are the viable options for you to secure a permanent residence of Canada with an SSCE certification, a low proof of settlement funds and low IELTS score (4.0band). Having said that, these immigration pathways are employer's driven and will compulsorily require you to secure a job offer prior to be eligible to file for a permanent residency of Canada.

Please house I need your candid advice on this issue.

My sister who is 22 years old just finished her OND from FEDPOEDE. I wish for her to seek study opportunity in Canada next year.

The total fund I have in my account is 7million naira only and a friend of mine in Canada has also promise to give her sponsorship letter.

Please does she stand a chnace of getting VO's positive approval given her age (22 years) and funding (7m cash and sponsorship letter from friend). Your responses will be highly appreciate.
Of course your sister stands a better chance of getting her study visa to Canada. However, the best option for her is an undergraduate degree in Canada given that she has an ND certification. There are cheaper schools she can apply to like University of Winnipeg and Memorial University. The money in your account (7M) and your friend's own would be sufficient to cover for her stay in these two schools.
