Politics › Re: Did Buhari Really Schedule A Meeting For APC Members This Morning? by Franzeez(m): 4:37pm On Jun 09, 2015 |
Without any bias, I don't think it is an easy task to impersonate the President of Nigeria in such a cheap way with all the SSS and co. Secondly the party leaders can easily reach out to PMB and ask if he scheduled a meeting, perheeps the likes of Tinubu and Co would not just go to a meeting like that. We must also remember that the news was that the VP scheduled the meeting earlier.
My opinion is that the leadership of APC scheduled the meeting when it was obvious they would loose. They tried getting the President or the Vice President but failed due to reasons I don't know, probably because PMB has vowed not to interfere in the National Assembly Issues which Osibanjo Followed too |

Politics › Re: Why APC Postponed NASS Inauguration - Vanguard by Franzeez(m): 3:50pm On Jun 09, 2015 |
CharlesPhc: ABUJA-MORE facts emerged Tuesday why the All Progressives Congress, APC, postponed the inauguration of the 8th Assembly.
Sources close to the party told Vanguard that the adoption of Senator Ike Ekweramadu as Senator Bukola Saraki’s deputy invoked the wrath of the APC leadership and ordered that the inauguration should be shifted to a later date.
According to one of the sources, the party never bargained for a diluted government in whatever level and would do everything to stop the anti-party activities of some of their members.
He said,”honestly we never expected this sudden interest of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP that had initially said it was not interested in NASS leadership to now start championing it”.
“We got hint of this development at about 4.am and had to swing into action”.
“This sudden interest of the PDP was why we shifted the inauguration and ensure we put the House in order before another date will be scheduled”.
“As you know the Hon Yakubu Dogara camp went too far in all they have done in the last two weeks heating the polity unnecessarily for no just cause”.
“On Monday night we had a parade of those that will vote for Hon Femi Gbajabiamila and 203 lawmakers signified their interest so it could have been a done deal if not for the antics of some of us who want power by all means”.
“Nigerians did not vote for a diluted government rather they voted for change and a positive change for that matter”.
“One thing I can assure you of is that the APC will cross this bridge without a stain and the PDP will woefully fail”.
Another source also spoke in the same vein saying”we can’t inaugurate the House for now until we get a clear signal that the coast is clear”.

NaijaTalkTown: Impeach Saraki and Ike, elect Lawan and Akume legally. And the Presidency in an attempt to restore order to the NASS, should order the armed forces to take over the NASS while Lawan and Akume legally remains as the senate and deputy senate president. Can non senators Impeach a senate president? The APC senators are not senators because they refused to be sworn in. They have to now wait till next week when Senate President Saraki will instruct the Clerk to swear them in, because the clerk can no longer swear anyone in on his own power since there is a senate President |

soe: And i can see a supreme court judgment underway....suspending the Senate until further notice.
The illegality in the action of the so called clerk of the house will not stand. Having inaugurated 57senators only out of 109, that is not even up to a quorum (quorum is 1/3rd for normal plenary...but for extraordinary plenary such as this and constitution amendment among others specified by law, it is 2/3rd).
And this was also without the requisite formal declaration by Mr President, signalling the launching of the new assembly. That said, APC needs to checkmate the activities of certain people. Saraki has only confirmed that he is far from "change" as he is neck deep in romance with the PdP gang. Shame to kwankwaso also, for being no different...now I know never to trust the so called N-PDP boys who ought to have been left to rot in political oblivion like Lamido and Muazu.
First, he called the VP a mere commissioner. Secondly, he damned the meeting with mr president. Thirdly, he paired with pdp imps.
My advicr to Buhari, this guy still has 4 heavy corruption baggages....it is either you immediately recruit Nuhu Ribadu into the EFCC, or you consult OBJ on how to deal ruthlessly with Senate Presidents.

Politics › Re: The Real Reasons I "Insulted" GEJ - Cramjones by Franzeez(m): 8:37am On Jun 07, 2015 |
cramjones: Even though I never supported GEJ when he came into power on his "I had no shoes" mantra, I never ever insulted him. I hoped that he would have success in governing Nigeria, even though I did not really see much leadership qualities when he served as an acting president. Nevertheless, I knew that Nigeria is bigger than party affiliations, so i supported and even prayed for his success.
Nigerians that voted for him where overwhelmingly happy that a man who came from the lowest ranks in the society will rise to be the number citizen of the country. I was happy too. However, when GEJ started saying this that did not make sense to we that thought rantionally and logically, we thought that it was just part of the no-one-is-perfect tag, however, after prolonged observance and monitoring, we realized that we were indeed dealing with someone who had no clue on what to do. Someone who played politics with the lives of Nigerians and someone who allowed his friends and cronies to loot the treasure dry. Wlhen someone has not clue he is clueless, when someone tells you that stealing is not corruption, the person is unintelligent or half schooled to know that the two terms are synonymous, when someone goes on to dance behind a womans booty, after boys were slaughtered, shows a fundamental problem.
The so called insults people have accused me of, are all statement of facts, and not insults. Even the international community echoed same. On the other hand I maintain that it is wrong to start calling a new president a dullard when you have not even allowed up to 100 days for him to prove himself. No one insulted GEJ in his first 300 days, because everyone was giving him a benefit of the doubt.
Please let us not undermine a man of goodwill. It is scarce to see a man like PMB in Nigeria. Let us give him all the necessary support and crucify him if he is taking Nigeria on a failure part after 100 days.
I rest my case!

Politics › Re: Warning To All Nigerians On Insults On PMB - Cramjones by Franzeez(m): 8:19am On Jun 07, 2015 |
cramjones: Dear Nairlanders,
It has come to my attention that not up to 2weeks of our president's take over of Nigeria's governance, some of you have been using unprintable words on him.
It is highly regrettable that we sit behind our computers and phones and call the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria a dullard. This is not right! We must learn to respect those in authority. What has Buhari done that warrants him to be called a dullard? The two religions most Nigerians practice tells us to respect those in authority.
Nevertheless, we must criticize where we believe PMB has erred, but we must refrain from using demeaning and derogatory terms. This must stop.
I urge the moderators of Nairaland to follow this trend closely, lest Nairaland becomes a forum to insult a sitting president.
We will not tolerate this!
God Bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
