Na so. PWC na government agency Abi. Make una stop all these una mentality for government work, it doesn't work like that in private firms.

Have you gone to LinkedIn to see the caliber of people that work in these firms? KPMG, PWC and the likes will not even shortlist you for assessment if you dont have a 2'1.

Make una stop all these crap.
Nothing like crap there. If you don't understand ask for more explanation. Every business either public or private is out to make money. So it is actually what about what comes with you to the table. Yes they may have a specification required of their staff. However, once something more serious is involved they overlook some rules...

Na so una go dey shout they can't compete with third class students in the south.Yet most scammers and pros are products of southern universities and runs babes. If they are so smart and brainy, they would been solving problems to make money instead of duping people. The one wey too do go dey build houses, wey dey collapse on top people head anyhow.

ABU is the most diversified university in Nigeria. The only university you will see students from all nooks and crannies of Nigeria. No school in the south can boast of that except Uni Lag a little for obvious reasons. If you check very well you will see many people from your state and local government
that attended it. If you attended any good secondary school sef, chances are that your sec school class that you could not compete with attended the university and you still can not stand him or her in any area of life if you still have any opportunity to compete with them.
Christianity EtcRe: She Wants Me To Leave Catholic Church Before She Can Marry Me by freeman67: 12:16pm On Nov 07, 2021

I have this girl who is the only one I love, but she said she can never attend catholic church.

I told her it's not an issue - that as my wife, she's free to attend any church she likes, but she insisted our family would have to attend the same church.

She won't marry me if i stick to my Catholic faith. Please advise me, she's the only one I love, and I can't start over anymore.
Let her go then. Your leaving the Catholic church should be on your own conviction not by black mail or cajole. If there should a movement, she is to be the one to move but then you accepting her as she is without requesting her to change is enough compromise.

Nothing wrong in your woman having her own wish and opinion. However, trying to make a rule for you and all means she has already is already assuming the head before everything commence.

.not entirely true. Some stocks have done way beyond any impact of devaluation. What is very vital in this sphere is one's entry point. For instance anyone that got into vitafoam at some months back will not agree with you. UPDC, wapco etc have also beat devaluation in recent times. Entry is key
Thats why its dangerous to generalise and say no stock on nse...
Even UCAP too. As a late comer in the first quarter of 2020. The average price of the few share of it I have is N2.60 it now about N9.00.
CareerRe: Is There A Reason As To Why A Bank Should Ask This Question? by freeman67: 6:48am On Nov 04, 2021
DamianX:
There's is something suspicious I noticed. A friend went for a bank upgrade which I accompanied him.
While he made available the documents needed, I noticed he was ask questions and one of the questions which got my attention was concerning his address.
They were interested in his address and the lady even asked "if one needs to find you, is this the address that will work?"

At the marketing room he told me he was asked the description of the building he resides in like the color, bungalow or story, gate colour

So to those who are enlightened on this, my question is why is such information needed especially the details of his residence?.
Is there a reason for this?
It is part of KYC. Some banks have agents they send to verify your address. Others will rely on just your description if okay with the address. In fact my the Stanbic IBTC staff that opened my account back then followed me home to verify my address.

No wonder your school got that negative reputation... When you go for NYSC where you will meet with the graduates of other schools in Nigeria. Most times people will only do what they are comfortable with. Though rates are very very poor now.. Some conservative investors will rather go with TB not minding the inflation than to put their money in other investment with more attractive rates they do not understand..
Car TalkRe: Toyota Corolla Hatchback: Is Nigerian Used Of This Car Advisable??? by freeman67: 3:19pm On Oct 26, 2021
Like most people have said here, the car generally is a nice car to buy. However, you should first of all be sure that the car is not stolen. Stolen car can drain one of all his joy when traced to the person.

Also, be sure it is not accidented and even if it is, it's effect on the vehicle is not too much before it was worked on. Be sure interior is ok too.

Then finally, the engine should be sound. If it isn't, in your negotiations a cost of replacement should be considered.

Nothing to consult any Lawyer for. Yes, letting out all those information comes with a very high risk because scammers can go to any length as their prying eyes are already on this thread. He just asked the question to be sure if the money is not coming through any illegal means.

This is actually the first time I will be receiving this type of huge sum in the account. I can call the company managers to talk to relevant authorities and eliminate suspicions.
Thank you.
As it is customary and required by the bank, if and when it enters, they may flag the account especially since you have not been making transactions of that magnitude. Like others have said above, if it is genuine, there is nothing to shiver about. All you will do is to just go there and explain the source. Bank wire transfer is the right way of making any genuine payment. Even the government is canversing for remittance through banks.

It's been three weeks now I sent my documents via the apps and email ( up to five emails) to united capital,no response nor acknowledgment. I wonder what will become of me if I need help redeeming my funds. Phone numbers not connecting, but managed to get ahold of them this Friday through WhatsApp, hope to get things sorted out soon but my trust with them kinda shaky
You can follow up through their official WhatsApp number. I would not know what's wrong, just contact them on WhatsApp and let them know you have been sending messages. I am sure you will be sorted out.

Incase you don't have, the number is: Zero-Eight-One-Six-Eight-Two-Eight-Two-Three-Nine-Six

On your part, check the email address you have been sending the messages to too and also if the messages were delivering. Also check if they is any inconsistency in you KYC doc submitted.

Yes, I use it too. The best way to redeem/withdraw money from them is by e-mailing. Once your KYC is verified, no Wahala. They will send the money to the account you gave them while opening the account on your request after their confirmation.

There is a reason why the review spaces are there. There are there for people's feedback and to also serve as a guide for intended users. So I do not have to be a user. The reviews of other users then guided me.

Though majority of the feedback around the period I downloaded has been edited. It still does not appeal to me as a person that you want to do an urgent transaction and along the line it has issues. Then no physical location to complain and the entity is not reachable leaving you stranded for days...

That is for me anyway.. Reviews and track record might be useless to you.

I like the way you stylishly advertise for platforms that you are affiliated with. You most likely get kickbacks from them for the subtle adverts. You do the same for a couple of investment houses that I shall not mention. But you then get offended when someone else advertises. Why? Does this place belong to you alone? Better give yourself sense before strong yamayama fall on your bald head angry angry angry angry
This is not correct. I feel it would have been better to first of all look at the company he spoke about and bring up questions where you have doubts. That's we do here most times. Every opportunity presented here is tested and if it passed the test, it sails through. A lot of people have genuine information and keep it to themselves to the disadvantage of those in genuine need of it. That is however not the case of the person you are referring to. Personally, I am very weary of any financial app that is not duely/completely registered with all the required regulating agencies, does not have a known office where I can bare my mind when I encounter hiccups with their app and does not have a reasonable track record I can refer to.

I am not in any way saying that these conditions are shock proof of avoiding misbehaviour from business owners. However, due diligence have to be done.

To tell you things must be done appropriately... Who am I to promote branch?at least their rates is higher than the S&P 500 of our dear country....
In his introduction, he stated that almost all your posts are about 'Branch'. Then went ahead to ask if you work with/for them or you are just a passionate investor. Somehow, you evaded that very important question.

That to me, signifies that you are marketing either what you do not do not understand or believe in.

does stanbic mmf pay interest monthly and charge withholding tax, even without submitting any instruction as to that effect?? 124k was removed, and 98k was returned, which hasn't even reflected, has anyone experienced this... tried reaching stanbic mutual fund customer care but no response...
The right people you should be talking to on this is their customer care actually. However, one of the probable cause would be that you were over credited and when realised they decided to remove it. It happens like that some time. You will only be sure if you were keeping track of it on daily basis.
InvestmentRe: Where Do I Invest Safely by freeman67: 8:54am On Sep 29, 2021
In order for you not to loose any part or whole of that money by way of an app closing /just refusing to open or you gathering virtual money/gain that may never be converted to real cash as was later the case of MMM, some know forex investment that went under; their agrovest and real estate partners or you even falling into some hungry scammers here.

The best thing for you to do is to just open a Money Market Fund account with either Stanbic IBTC or ARM where you will be sure of withrawal/redemption on the day you requested or at most the next day. There are other MMF and other Mutual Funds that could deliver maybe a better gain but then, their redemption delay at times.

My suggestion is based on the fact that the money was entrusted to you for keeps. It is neither a borrow or dash situation. You didn't ask him to give you the money for business either. So any delay in refunding when asked might breach the trust he has or probably hinder something bigger that can happen between you guys later.

InvestmentRe: Info On First Bank Shares. by freeman67: 12:40pm On Sep 25, 2021
He will have to open an account with a stock broking firm and dematerialize the shares if he intends to sell. Then also contact First Registrars for his accrued dividend and bonuses. He bought the shares then in a boom market before the market stock market crashed in 2008 and the price fell drastically. One share is now worth about N7. 45.

His N100,000 worth of shares bought at N33 per share then should amount to about 3,030 shares. I don't know if he bought before the bonus of that year (2007) was declared so I won't consider that year.

In 2008, FBN gave share bonus of 1 for 4. Thus, his 3030 share would have attracted about 757 bonus shares to make the total about 3787. In 2009, they gave bonus of 1 for 6. Meaning he will have about 631 bonus to make his total 4418. They also offered a bonus share of 1 for 8 in 2010. That signifies that he got about 552 shares to make the total about 4970. The last FBN bonus share so far was issued in 2015. When they declared a bonus of 1 for 10 shares. Which will mean that he had bonus shares of about 497 to make his total current holding to be about 5467 shares.

My calculations above is based on assumption with the info you presented. A visit to first registrars will give the exact information needed. But, he will need to first of all connect with a stock broker.
EducationRe: Why Do Kids From Wealthy Homes Study Very Unpopular Courses? by freeman67: 11:51am On Sep 25, 2021
CrystalSpark:
This question has always been on my mind and just now I’m reading, again, that the daughter of President Buhari went to the UK to study Photography. grin grin

Not just her! There’s a noticeable trend even in Naija; a kid from a very wealthy home may go to a university to study music, or catering, or something that isn’t “popular and mainstream”.

The rest of us from not so rich homes will kill ourselves with mechanical, chemical, petro-chemical, electromagnetic engineering
When people already have money they go for what they have passion for. Though they may still practice, they will go for the education in itself and not just because they feel it must be a route to their success. However, majority of the average and poor people first of all consider how lucrative/popular a course is and how they can get rewarded immediately they start practicing because they want to upgrade their livelihood from there.

1..Try to obtain a Degree and make it a priority, if it doesn't work out that's when u opt for HND... E get why, though the Army doesn't discriminate among the Two.. Same ranking and same pay

2. After conversion, to Regular, that's after your probation... The sky is your limit, though you'll have to compete with the better preferred RC - the NDA graduates... But today we have a lot of SSC officers who are Major Generals.... We've had a COAS once in the past who was SSC

Note : make sure you're Medically and physically fit... Maintain your health till then

to get commissioned into the Nigerian Armed Forces is highly competitive, so ensure to have a back up plan
The final shortlist for Army SSC this year had 8 people per state, Navy DSSC had just 2+1 reserve per state

So try get back up plan o
