I think a visit to their office is what will eventually fix it if you can create the time to go there. They will assign you an account officer immediately. Though it should not be that way at all. With United Capital even a WhatsApp Message will fix some issues or direct you on how to get solutions.

That's how their customer services are really. But like XiaoLi said, you can request for another account officer. I am sure any assigned to you will be happy to work with you.

Yes for United Capital have just one ID number for their clients. All funds are linked to that number the only thing that changes is maybe the code of the the Fund written before the number. It seem so with FBN Quest too. Though I have asked United Capital about the possibility of having 2 accounts for same fund. FBN Quest has told me straight before that they don't.

However with Stanbic IBTC, they open their funds account like normal bank accounts so you can open more than one.

You will use the account numbers to differentiate them. Since you are the one that knows your reason for opening them, you will be the one to know which account number is for which purpose....

Very possible for Stanbic IBTC Money Market Funds. Your reason for opening the accounts for savings/investments may be different. So they allow it.

Just send a mail to their customer care requesting for the amount you wish to withdraw. Hope your KYC is updated ooo. If not, you will have to update it before the withdrawal is possible.

The bank is not meant to rollover TBills except Customer requests it.

Below my Tbill certificate is a note :

"Please note that upon maturity, the Face value will be credited to your account. For reinvestment, kindly contact the bank at least 72 hours before the stated maturity date."

It depends ooo. For primary market some bank just roll over unless you give a contrary instruction. In some of the banks TB there is column where to indicate either to roll over at expiration or not. I have once asked them not to roll over yet they did. Na First Bank dey do that roll over pass...

What oga Emma just posted is a summary of background check you need to do on any fund you wish to invest in before you even check the rate. Any fund no matter who manages it or floats it even a SEC approved firm if it doesn't have all the listed criteria it's still not safe. If you invest in it and anything goes wrong you are own your own. This is from experience.

Yes, very true. Example is Cashcraft and it's PEAS investment. Investors in that scheme have been trying to get their monies back without success. Some of them have even opened thread on how to get back their funds invested in PEAS yet Cashcraft is an approved firm.

Reason why I laugh at people shouting start a business. Most people doing well in business are fronting it. They have shady secret they won't tell. Nigeria isn't favorable for legit hussler.

This is not true. There are lots of people doing well in genuine businesses without shady secret in Nigeria. The growing businesses may not tell their business secret to avoid loosing out to competitors.

While asking questions here is okay, one needs special ability to be able to discern scammers. Majority of the active business guys the op wish to tap ideas from do not have the luxury of time to be on Nairaland. Instead they concentrate all their efforts in making the businesses grow.

One is likely to see more investors and passive business men more here. It is also easier to pick business ideas from stories and discussions silently when you have not drop any amount on the table. Once you mention that you have money here, the next thing will be all manner people trying to scam you.


I do not see any reason why the op will say he want a business he can do and some one will say he want to help him manager the money. When he did not ask for a money manager. Even those that will say they want to partner with him. If there don't have any idea for him as required why not pass over the thread ?

It's a dog eat dog market. They sell you anything they manipulate from their end, if the rate doesn't match your expectations they take long in reselling and crediting you.

Even at that, I think investors may still have options of bidding. In their banks available bonds, rates and prices are displayed most times. I believe if you choose a particular bond to buy at a particular rate and amount they would have no option than to either get it for you that way or leave your money for you.

I have been working there as a contract staff for 3 years but now i applied for a vacant post in the same company for a full staff role....

My question is will I be considered for a full staff role even with a 3rd class?

I have done written interview and i passed
I have done one on one interview too but I'm expecting the reply....
I'm only scared if my 3rd class certificate will be considered....

Working there for three years as a contract staff would have availed them the opportunity to know your other areas of strength where you can contribute to the company other than just your certificate.

On your part: Except if you were not giving your best as a contract staff, you did not learn on the Job or you could not convince them in the interview that you are you understand what you have been doing. Nothing should stop them from hiring you.

On their part: Except they have special interest in the new person coming if you were interviewed with other people, want to spend more money and time in imparting the knowledge you already have from them or they see you as not been able to demonstrate to them that you have learnt while there. You should be a good hire to them.

Your Certificate is not the only way to test your capability and suitability for the job. Depending on the role you are meant to play there, for your three years as a contract staff, they would have examined other areas like:

- Your attitude to work. Are your punctual? Do you take given assignments/responsibilities serious? Do you complain on necessarily when assigned tasks?

- Your abily to lead and be lead. Employee not matter how low on the cadre could still be entrusted with leadership role.

-Your ability to deliver or learn on the job where applicable. Do you complete your given task to the satisfaction of your boss?

-Your relationship with your colleagues. Are you cordial with your colleagues? You may not necessarily be friends but at least can you work with them and achieve needed result for the company?

-Then your relationship with the client/customers of the company...

Yes as a business guarantors or collaterals are very necessary.

In Andy Ubah's case, I think Heritage banks management was either not diligent enough or had fringe benefits from that lending. Going by his track records, no lender is supposed to do any transaction with him except of course his is either naive or intend to get something in return that would not be tied to them.

Not completely. Situations that brings about lending and borrowing are not absolute. I will say yes, where a person or people have a track record of being perpetual debtors. However, some people might just be genuinely interested in borrowing for something serious with genuine interest and laid down plans to refund it too.

Yes it can. But that would mostly depends on
how you save, invest and spend. How much responsibilities you have to cater for. Leaving below your means, not allowing undue influence from peer pressure etc...
