I just got a notification for Fidson commercial paper from Afrinvest an thee notice below was added.

*Please note that withholding tax (10%) is now applicable.

Please for information sake has there been change of rules recently for companies floating/issuing commercial paper?

CP's are supposed to be tax free.

In it there are three offers. Each is worth the same amount of N75bn

Can anyone please assist in the simplest way possible, with the correct interpretation of say for instance if one were to key into the third one for this coming auction? Will it simply imply that I would receive 13% of my invested value bi-annually for the next 20 years? If this would not be so, by how much would this 13% be reduced? Your assistance is coveted Gurus. Thank you in advance.

Before the folks that really understand it come to throw more light on it for you. Please know that the 13% interest there is annual. Interests rates are calculated annually except where otherwise stated. So 13% annually is simply 6.5% bi- annually for 20 years.

I opened a dollar mutual fund account with United Capital & according to them, payment can only be made through transfer.

Now, I operate a domiciliary account with FCMB where I only source for dollar locally then deposit with the bank.

My problem now is; my bank says I can't make any transfer to United Capital because of CBN restrictions on foreign currency transfer.

Please I need your assistance, what & what do I need to have the permission to be funding my mutual fund account through my bank

It been like that for like 3 to 4 years now. The only money you can transfer from your dorm account is the one transferred to you. Cash deposit for transfer is not acceptable.

The rate is quite high. I have investment in the money market fund and I'm thinking of shifting to Balanced Fund.

No guarantee ooo. It can either go up or down according to the funds performance at a particular period. The first period wey I try am with 50k na like about 47k I take run commot after about 6 weeks.

You will not understand. There are order area where you can get a plot of below 100m not very far like Jahi but in that Katampe Ext. I doubt if you will see a plot of that amount. There is a plot housing about 5 or 6 duplexes in the that video he posted. A developer I know told me that just 1 of it is sold for about 350M. That one na very simple house there. Not the ones that looks like castles and mansions.

That is Katampe Extension not Katampe and it is amongst the Top 10 place except you don't know Abuja well. Wuye, Guzape, Katampe Extension and Utako are phase 2 to the likes of Maitama, Asokoro, Wuse 2, Wuse And Garki. Now in that list apart from Maitama, Wuse 2 and Asokoro non of those other places sef can compare with that Katampe Extension sef.

Apart from the Edeifices there. It is a well planned area. Water, sewage system and electricity all well planned and integrated in the plots. Look in the pictures/ video you won't see any pole standing. It's underground.

Yes because it's a new layout and phase 2 of Abuja City plan. Them never dey misbehave so the big guys have not seen them as problem to drive them away. Also, building construction is still seriously ongoing there. How do you want the artisans to navigate the place if Okada no dey enter like Abuja phase 1.

I have not withdrawn from it before so I can't say exactly but as it is with banks and investment houses, charges where available are most times borne by customers.

This will be from a private school. They usually act this funny for continual ppatronag from parents. That said, it is possible to be 19th out of 25 if the students above her got better scores. Yes, going by the rating grade and what she was graded in all the subjects, all her scores are A. In the space where they wrote total score, she got nothing less than 90 in all the subjects.

However, @Lovelygbems if you are not part of the founders and owners of this investment you are vigorously marketing here, please do not market it to your family members, friends and neighbours. Most times when adverts for the CP's are placed, they come with the issuing houses. All you need to do it to contact the issuing house by mail. Most of them will send you the form online with the account number to send the money. Download the form, fill, transfer the money and the filled copy of the form with the evidence of payment.


Once you succeed in that one, you will be contacted by the firm whenever is arranging any or is part of the marketer to any.

Please I applied for some Sukuk Bond by transferring money from Gtb to Unity bank, but uptill now I have not heard from both banks. I supplied my CSCS account number on the form. I have checked my CSCS account but it has not reflected. Am I being too anxious or I should still wait further?

Sukuk IV which was auctioned in 2021 has not been credited to individuals CSCS account. However, the receiving agent you used should have confirmed you after the settlement. Since they did not, just give it a while to see if they will respond to your email. If they don't, just search for their customer care number online and call them.
