Thanks for that info definitely looking forward to watch Jenifa III & The Mirror Boy.I have mixed feelings about Black Gold looks like there will be  on that one. It would have been great to see more African actors on that one but we all know that's not how hollywood produced movies operate even when the storyline is African

Why does the Ghanaian movie industry feel that it must import light skinned actors/actresses and actors/ actresses with American accent? Also why do most of the story lines have really nothing to do with the African culture? What is the point of making Hollywood type movie with bad accenting in a culture where it doesn't really come across comfortable? I have noticed this saddening trend and it makes the movie watching process so uncomfortable.

I have fully converted to Yoruba movies they are shorter & more straight to the point I enjoy them even more with subtitles 

For Colored Girls

After spending loads of money on facial products and I'm not even talking about make up because I go without it
I made a decision to go back to the basics.I discovered this Indian soap called medimix from a beloved friend here on NL "Inked_Nerd" my mild acne is slowly going back to where it came from and I pray it stays there.

I had read so much about coconut oil and decided that the worst has already happened to my face so why not give it a try.It has been about 4 weeks since I started  using the virgin Coconut oil as a moisturizer on my face and so far so good.

My face is now experiencing a nice smoothness I discovered with coconut oil it needs to be cold pressed just don't buy any coconut oil.It works for some people and others have complained about it so it really depends.Now it's time to get that Aloe Vera & apricot to work in order to get the hyperpigmentation off my face.

Simplicity at it's best and it's all costing me less than £10 combined  compared to the $$$ I used to spend on Dermalogica products

I absolutely agree with you there Money does indeed buy a lot. These wealthy folk have been giving funds to these Ivy league Universities so that when their offspring become of age there shall never be a question as to where they shall go to school.
Bringing up the children always depends on the parents there are thousands of stories we hear everyday of people who have grown up to become good abiding citizens after growing up in extreme poverty as well as being exposed to crime

Why did I believe "For colored Girls" would even be considered for any nomination? guess it's not mainstream enough or there are too many dark scenes too watch

Half my workmates are United Fans and other majority are City fans. Living in this city doesn't help either not looking forward to the war of words between the boys today

I can only say Thanks to you for making the Inquiry in the fast place & for Inked_Nerd for giving us a solution.Happy to see that there are some improvements on your face.I'm happy to say that I'm not breaking out as much and when I do they clear very fast mostly within a day or two.It's  a really good feeling .Now i just want to focus on my pigmentation and clearing those blemishes

I now prefer watching the Yoruba movies as long as the subtitles are there I'm good to go.I feel that the production is way better than English Speaking Nolly.The Yoruba actors/actresses do an excellent job.
The English speaking Nolly have multiple storylines that have no beginning, middle  or end but has part I to IV !! This is a mess sad to think that English Speaking Nolly have some great Actresses/Actors whose talent is seriously going to waste

I have had two bad experiences in the last two years  where I lost a substantial amount of money to two "white American" businessmen.One to a unscrupulous white Landlord in New york city and another one with a manufacturer who send damaged goods.That doesn't make me run around believing all  Caucasian businessmen are thieves

People don't be fooled about this whole Indian marriage thing. It's a known fact they have arranged marriages worst thing is over 40% of the marriages are to close family (first or second cousins).Their problems are discussed within their family circles should the certain individual not co-operate then there is the Honour killings that MIGHT  follow.

One of my friends is a doctor and she told me their kids suffer the most due to being born with learning disabilities among other illnesses due to marrying family members.This kind of wahala is too much and on top of that you don't even love your wife/husband they just happen to be your relative who you are stuck with till kingdom-come in most cases.

Many of the Indian guys are too busy fooling around with the Oyinbo gals especially here in the UK while the wife is at home depressed too death she dare not ever think of divorce although there are a few cases of some who have done but what has followed has been ugly

So much too learn from people here good & bad lol.Hopefully the poster will be able to straighten things out with his wife but as many others have pointed out there are two sides of the story with this situation.His wife's side of the story no matter how bad should be kept into consideration as well.

I have seen many brothers going back to Africa to get a wife and things turning very unpleasant very fast .Virtues and vices lie within us as human beings and not the location if someone is mean-spirited or greedy in Naija then that character will follow them even to the North pole.But many times we are blinded by the physical attributes people have or the just plain ignore bad characters of an individual.

I have friends here who have met abroad and have successful marriages and vice versa.I also know their is a stigma of being born or growing up in the diaspora  and having some African men assuming that  the ladies are not intouch with their  African heritage .Get to know the individuals story  then pass judgement you might just be surprised or even shocked what you find there

Not all Nollywood producers are wack Mainframe  produces good movies,
Youtube was a way for me to discover good producers & directors and then buy some DVDs that I wanted to watch more than once.
I also found out that  buying the DVDs from the African shop doesn't guarantee the quality of the movie.I have experienced some bootleg DVDs from the African shops
